A cap bill doesn't offer much of a gripping surface. Id' modify the bill with at least one finger hole, probably two - for a sure grip instead of a "pinch it" grip.

You're missing the point. As he said at 1:03 "so you dont have that liability that a firearm or a edged weapon can bring" Meaning if you shoot someone out of self defense and they live, they can sue you and the owner of the business or estate that the altercation took place.
