The skateboard is a new model Alan Gelfand Powell Peralta tribute repop. They are not rare at all. Alan's nickname was ollie, because he was widely published as the person whom did the rear wheel bonk on coping at a skatepark resulting in a f/side no hand air, aka f/side ollie (albeit very small) It appears it has 149' (or 159') Indy' trucks (a dime a dozen/ just standard). It's not that expensive. It's a double kick, so it's new school, you can find them anywhere. Now,....If it was an original Gelfand from the early 80's (a 10 by 30 original), then you'd want it as a wallhanger if you were a collector, & then beauty is in the eye of the beholder, & for what you want to pay. But, yeah, it's not a special deck by any means.

I should bring my 79 Alva with tracker trucks & 70 red Kryptonics to this shop just to get on you tube lol! All in great shape. I bought it and left for the military a couple years later so it sat collecting dust for a couple decades. Reall only used on halfpipes and a ramp in my buddies driveway in Michigan. No curb grinding or anything.

For skateboards always look at the bolts that mount the trucks to the board- the modern (reissues) the 4 bolts are close together. The old boards have bolts farther apart. You are looking at a reissue I can tell by the spoon nose- the original is a pig shape with a flat front

Formed in 1991 by Alvin Gottlieb, the son of Gottlieb founder David Gottlieb, Alvin G. & Co. was the family's attempt to get back into the pinball business after the original Gottlieb was sold off in the 1970s. They weren't able to use the Gottlieb name, and had to build out their own new factory space in a warehouse west of the Gottlieb Memorial Hospital in Melrose Part, Illinois.
Alvin G. was relatively shortlived, putting out around half-a-dozen tables before closing down in 1994.
Maxx Baddazz was never produced. Prototype only.

I used to work at Zumiez back in '09 for a long while and from my experience there are people who like their board customized to their taste so if someone were to want that Alan Gelfand Ollie Tank skateboard they would most likely replace the wheels, bearings and trucks and possibly the grip tape. Then you have people who just want a skateboard ready to go and dont really care what the graphic is or what kind of hardware it has. Also, there isnt much money on that board because it's a reprint.

You lost on that metal detector, even in non-working condition, they bring hundreds of dollars. Even the cheap “plastic’y ones would bring well over 50 bucks. If that ever happens again, especially when the unit has a metal frame and guide rod, buy, buy, buy! The older units have vacuum tubes in them, I’m sure you know how expensive they’ve gotten. The tube units brings a couple hundred in working condition, and the higher end transistorised units which are a bit more reliable bring substantially more. I’m sure you make up for such losses in other departments. Stay safe and awesome Pete, thanks for the great videos

Allen G invented the Ollie that's a pro model of his. It's a reissue for sure.

When you bring in "Gucci" watches and Pete verifies they are fake and you are NOT surprised.... hmmmmm???🤔

I did a little research myself... proceeds to come in and tell you that you need to do your research without providing any of his supposed research.

Definitely not a OG Powell skateboard but a reissue Powell board. You probably can buy the skateboard deck brand new for max $100 if it was a OG 1980s board it could be worth a lot more. Most of your 1980s OG boards are going to be several inches wider. I will tell you Pete some of the older boards/decks can be worth some real money.

Dude was kinda intense. How about you look into it a little deeper and know what you have before you come in? And if you can sell it online yourself why even bring it in? Love that Pete is unshakable, no one's gonna be at him at his own game. Fun to watch 'em try tho 😜

Pete the patience you have is killer. If you want auction prices take it to a auction house or Ebay what do expect at a pawn shop. Reminds me top dollar garage sales lol.

Dear Pete that is a re pop board the originals were referred to as Pigs and would have never had a kick in the nose - Big Money in old skate and BMX
