Normally, I feel like some bubbles in underwater resin scenes don't really detract from the piece overall, but I must admit there were a few unfortunate ones in this pour. But your fix with the red dye looked SO DAMN GOOD. I would wonder if you could replicate it on purpose it's so good.
The big bubbles are quite unfortunate but it makes sense if he's moving in the water at least. Like if we caught him in the middle of stepping on unnamed shark then it makes sense that there are bubbles around that leg
I had a dream last night and I was scuba diving in a Pokémon coral reef and was attacked by a sharpido and I woke up and thought “hmm I wonder if Adam would like this” and here I am
@@SylverScourge If we take this as a scale model and the sharkasaurus rex was actually that close to the surface, bubbles are also completely legitimate.
Hey Adam, Paleontologist in training here, I think the legs you did are very accurate to that of a Rex, and the T. rex was a really good swimmer, so who knows, maybe sharkasaurus Rex fossils will be found in the future.
I actually like the air bubbles. When you move from surface to sea, as the Sharkasaurus Rex obviously does, you’ll have a ton of bubbles behind you. Actually, I wish there were more bubbles, mostly around the feet and tail, to give this piece a good sense of *movement.* Turned out perfect anyways!
We need another sharkasaurus rex, like a hammerhead one so Paul doesn’t feel lonely! Btw, I really like the details on the shark! Same with the base floor and on the shark itself, I didn’t know the cuts without the plastic wrap would literally tear through the clay! Can’t wait to see more clay sculptures!
Some of the bubbles just give the scene a sort of "movement" that it wouldn't have without them, and adding red blood-resin into that big bubble was a genius-level move. It looks great!
These resin pieces are always so well done. The bubbles always work out in the end for you, in this piece they add movement imo. The way in which the red resin dispersed throughout the blue resin is also very effective. Also, since the 'sharkasaurus' has no blood near its mouth, it can be inferred that this apex predator sometimes hunts for fun or simply to eliminate other predators.
The red resin makes it look even better in my opinion! The blood flowing in the water. 15:38 The distortion around the head makes it look like movement, too!

Sharkasaurus Rex? That sounds like an epic creation! Your imagination knows no bounds. I can't wait to see the terrifying Apex Predator in action. Your work never fails to amaze me!
Sharks are older than dinosaurs, so if anything, the rex adapted to look like him! Also, would you call the marine biologists who study these magnificent apex creatures...Paul-eontologists? It gives the illusion that he's just crashed down on the other shark or brought his leg down onto it from above the water, and moved so fast the air bubbles haven't escaped from under him yet. Love the movement and direction it gives the whole piece!
I love this Garchomp regional variant. You can tell by the increase in the size of the jaw, tail, and legs that this beast was well suited for both land and deep ocean combat. In exchange for its flight capabilities it is now significantly stronger and tougher than its counterpart.

When you started the epoxy, I thought about how cool the 'blood in water' effect would look. It was awesome to see you pulled it off without it being too overpowering especially with the accidental bubbles. GREAT WORK AS ALWAYS FELLOW ADAM!!
It has to be said, at this point I could not care less what kind of twisted monstrosity it is that this man has made, I know that I’m going to watch the video and enjoy the hell out of it no matter what it is. The narration is always top tier funny and entertaining.
My dude, this is so random and the sculp is so nice!!!! Awesome! And two small tips here: try making the form with less trim on the sides, and putting it to cure in a pressure pot/chamber, so that any bubbles inside the resin get squashed into imperceptible tiny sizes. The other one, try to seal the base and sculpture before you do any pours. Basically "painting" (quite a few methods to do the same, including just brushing it like paint) a relatively thin resin layer top of the sculpture and base and let it cure, displacing air as you apply it and trapping the rest inside the shell it becomes.
Nice save with the clouds of blood. They could have been played off as Paul is moving and made bubbles, but the way they look once filled in is unsettlingly good.
To be honest i like the bubbles, it adds movement and makes you think, not only is the creature farting but dam it can move fast even with those legs! I have no idea if that makes sense to anyone else but 🤷 Love the videos keep up the great work!

hi, im a marine biology student! great job on this creature, though i will leave a little note: the sharkasaurus rex usually lives in the gloomy sublittoral zone, so the lighting would be a little darker in real life for this magnificent beast. perfectly anatomically correct, though! fantastic work!
I came over to this video because it was mentioned in the Shark/Dragon video (which my bf sent to me) and I'm super excited to see the final result because I drew a Sharkosaurus Rex for an art project when I was in middle school like 7 years ago. While middle school me would be sad that I wasn't original, adult me is excited to see a full visualization of something I drew forever ago. (And thanks to another comment elsewhere, apparently there's a video game I need to find and try with one of these guys in it). Anyways, these are super cool and kind of make me want to start drawing again
Idea: pouring coloured resin in stages is tricky because you get dividing lines, because you can't get the colour exactly right. Is it possible to mix the colour with only one part of the resin, then take a portion of that at a time to mix with the other part? Love your sculpture as always. He looks amazing❤
I was going to suggest the same as well . Theoretically speaking, by doing layers, he could have other things floating at different heights, if needed, without needing strings or other supports that might cause issues.
After so many failed resin pours, I'm starting to think you should try making a fake aquarium, like how they do it in museum displays. You did a pretty good job of saving this one, and the sculpting is amazing, as always, but it's a thought to consider.
I honestly admire the fact that you use resin. I used it once and it was a complete disaster, that stuff is so hard to clean if it isn’t set. Anyway, you did a great job as always!
I did a research paper on the sharkasaurus rex recently fro our marine biology unit, and my research states that they can run up to 70 mph under water. Dolphiraptors are one of their main enemies, especially when the dolphiraptors are in big groups. There was also a study done that showed sharkasaurus rexes love waffles
I aspire to be as good as you when it comes to sculpting. You've probably taught me more about sculpting than anyone else has, and I hope to one day come close to your level.
I think the bubbles are pretty good in this setting. The blood fix on the bottom i think was perfect. I think putting some sand flying up from his feet would have made it cool as well. since his steps would lift up the ocean floor sand

Thanks for making my Friday extra rad :)
can you maybe make something from subnautica I just really love the game and want to see a clay sculpture from it it can be anything just and idea if you have none, if not that's ok if you read this thank you
Honestly, the bubbles actually look thematically appropriate. You've got a couple of fish on the bottom of the ocean that just got done with a fight and one's presumably still moving. That's going to cause some obvious turbulence. Mix that in with your fixes and it honestly looks really good.
I love how all these killer machines have the names of a 78 year old, retired old man who lives peacfully and feeds the stray cats at night, and probably spends his days walking around the park to hug trees and pet dogs of stranger people. That's Paul.
There’s a technique where you ‘paint’ a thin layer of resin onto your item that will be submerged in resin (i.e. sculpture) so that any air pockets (bubble sources) are totally sealed off. It seems to be a pretty successful technique, so maybe you could give it a try?
So, what if you made a velocigator? I'm think like some terrifying hybrid that was genetically mutated to be the ultimate hunting machine. It looks like an alligator from the top, but when you look at it from the side, you see the large powerful legs and the wicked hooked claws. The velocigator can reach a top speed of 53 mph in jungle terrain.
The end result with the glamour shots are terrifying but the way you narrate the creation process is so absurdly hilarious that I’m starting to think that the opposite of fear may actually comedy, like you tackle a scream of horror with its natural opposite: laughter
I actually like when bubbles is in the resin when making sculptures that are supposed to be in “water” it feels like a more natural thing since bubbles will occur in water when predators are hunting
There is already a game that took this idea long before you did this sculpture. It still looks better in 3D than in the 2D style of the game. Good work man.
i love this guy because its like every one else i think ill make a clown or whatever but then Adam wakes up one day and is like i want to morph two apex predators into a horrifyingly beautiful creature of the ocean
I would recommend pouring the resin from the bottom instead of pouring from the top over the figure, this way you won’t get air bubbles around the figure, it will fill up the space as it rises from the bottom of the structure in which you’re pouring the resin

I love the snarky, honest sense of humor that you have! It keeps me chuckling through the whole video and makes me feel a lot better about the mistakes I make as a very new amateur.
Seeing hints if the back, man you really did muck that up. But i think it's so cool how hard you try and spin the failures into successes. It may have looked really bad but i would have loved to see the other side and just ignored the flaws. I swtg resin is cursed but everytime you make a masterpiece with it. Thanks for making my Friday extra rad :)
Hey adam you’re probably not gonna see this comment but can you make a skull crawler please.
Glamour shots 👉 16:20
He make the most realistic creations ever 😮
This is easily my favorite NoTB video
As a leader of the Sharkasaurus Rex club. I am sorry to inform you that since this Sharkasaurus Rex is so inaccurate, we have to permanently ban you
Tyrannolodon
can you maybe make something from subnautica I just really love the game and want to see a clay sculpture from it it can be anything just and idea if you have none, if not that's ok if you read this thank you
i personally like when bubbles happen, makes it look more real, rapid movment in water causes bubbles, so it looks better like that
Honestly, the bubbles actually look thematically appropriate. You've got a couple of fish on the bottom of the ocean that just got done with a fight and one's presumably still moving. That's going to cause some obvious turbulence. Mix that in with your fixes and it honestly looks really good.
Just saw his merch and I love how he added his phrase “Wormy Dealies” onto a shirt! I LOVE IT!!!!”
I have to say that out of every submerged object I have seen in these clay sculpture videos this water looks most realistic and fantastic, well done
the bubbles actually look really good for such an action filled scene, I don`t mind them at all
these sculptures always end up a very precise mix of cool, weird, and/or creepy. I absolutely love them.
NGL all the accidents with the resin and how you handled it is the best part of this video and I adore your project!
Fixing the big fart bubble with blood-like red silicone was inspired. A joy to watch you masterfully turn a bug into a feature.
Honestly the bubbles make it look even cooler and more like an action shot
12:45 is it just me or did the way the colors move with the resin mixer Looks satisfying.
Couldn't help but notice that Paul was more Sharkosaurus than Rex. And he definitely didn't have enough manbearpig.
