He is amazing but always down to earth. In his teens he was rather introverted and bookish, so he has his ways with words ❤. He is still shy around others without EXO 😂.
Before I knew anything about Korean entertainment, I followed an ex-pat vlog about living in SK. One day they did a music review of EXOs pre debut single What is Love and mentioned how ‘charismatic’ Kai is😉 Well you don’t have to tell me twice! That was my first ever kpop mv, 10 years ago. So really, Kai is to blame.
Yes, Kai has a great family. That’s why he is a great person.
The video is very good, but one important thing doesn't mention that is Kai's injury. Kai underwent back surgery before his debut because of dancing. He broke his ankle three times. He had a lot of injuries, but he never let up on stage.
18:10 As Kai fans, we were worried during the darkest days of 2016 that his body wouldn't make it to his solo debut. So for us, his solo debut is a very happy event.
On stage he may be known for his expressions and how he is able to captivate the audience so well even w/just his mere presence but off stage he is definitely well known for his laughter, glad you love it cuz we're in love with it as well 😂 he's the literal epitome of duality. But seriously his mother was right when she said he looks absolutely beautiful when he dances, very happy he pursued his dream and became part of EXO. He was born to be on that stage next to the best of the best... EXO, now known as the Emperor of Kpop.
Kai is the sweetest, miss him so much 😭 also Suho stepped up in honor of Kai's late father, to send him off to the military. It's tradition that the father cuts their hair and sends them off and Suho, like the big brother he is and as the greatest leader did this for him, as well as the rest of the members when they dropped him off at his location. It was such a beautiful moment, it truly shows how much they love each other and how deep and true their bond is. Kai being the most sensitive member you can tell that meant so much to him and EXO has shown that they're able to hold themselves even w/o their main dancer & center. His discharge can't come any faster 😞 thank you so much for another exo guide. Can't wait for the ranking.
sorry to boried you but There is no clip saying suho came to their hairstylist room as a father figure😅 many male idol shaved their head by members. It’s not that kind of tradition, we don’t have to mention his father.😂 if you go to the original video, Kai’s dancer friend shave him too, he tell them to TRY IT.

Kai is the bias wrecker. Kai solo I would suggest Rover, Mmmh and Peaches. There is also Film:Kai where you can hear small excerpts of songs from his first mini album. And Film:Kai Rover where you can hear excerpts of beds on his second mini album. And of course he dances.
Kai's amazing presence during performances is what made me notice him, but in the end what drew me in completely was his personality. You will not find a more sensitive or more open minded person, I'll promise you that. The way Jongin looks at people is how everyone should be looked at, at least once in their lives; it's like the whole world falls away and nothing else matters except the person he's focusing on, whether it be a fan he's talking with or a member that's singing.
While his expressions on stage might make him look arrogant, cold and distant, anybody who takes a closer look can see that he's nothing like that at all. And it actually wasn't until this past year that a lot of idols and kpop fans realized that as well. Through his third mini album Rover, Jongin did so many dance challenges with so many artists; there was even a line of people waiting to do the challenge with him! When a majurity of the exo members were in the military, it was Jongin that stepped up to make sure we didn't feel too alone. He went on a lot of variety shows, even tho he's actually really shy and sometimes has trouble talking to new people (I'm not kidding, there was a show where he just sat silently for hours because he didn't know anybody there and was too afraid to talk to people).
Taemin from SHINee is actually his best friend and has been since they were trainees. When both SHINee and EXO were winning an important award, Kai actually cried (and celebrated) more when Taemin's group won than when his own did, because that's just the kind of person he is.
Sadly it was his turn to enlist this year and we're all, including the members (no really, they can't stop mentioning him everywhere), missing him very much!
A few fun facts of our nini to end this comment with:
- He is known as the cry baby of the group (with Chanyeol), he even cried at exo's 10 year anniversary, because he was so happy to stand together on stage again.
- He owns three dogs
- He's amazing with kids and has a niece and nephew he loves very much
- He loves lego and when I say love, I mean he's basically obsessed with it
- He breaks everything he touches: mics, stuffed animals, pants, you name it, he'll find a way to somehow (accidentally) break it

Fun fact about Kai is that he's actually book worm.
He reads a lot, and if you watch or read about his interviews, you can tell he's really good at expressing himself. His words tend to sound very articulate and well-thought and well spoken. I'd say he got it from his readings as well as his upbringing.
This guy to me is a strong empath. It's a refreshing character to see on screen.

Kai is our second maknae he is soo adoreble the king of face Expression idol of idols he is one of my favorite dancer along with Taemin his bff , and his vocals warm and honey, kai is dangerous and jongin is funny and nini bear is innocent shy cute but all are same person he has best duality . kai and sehun chen have the louderste laughs when they laugh i also laugh without no reason 😂 i mis him soo much 😢 kai have three solo album and two kai film first album mmmh second peaches and his lates album before he went to military service rover i hope you react his solo songs or album thanks for the reaction.

Since it's a bit outdated, I'm pretty sure he's grown taller. He's extremely talented but also a humble king. The baby don't cry stage is a must watch

There is a duality in being an Erigom (an L Bear, Kai's fandom). Loving the awesome performer Kai is one side, but there is also the total admiration for the sweet, very grounded, caring Kim Jongin.
Kai is not only known as the Idol of Idols and one of the best dancers, he is also often cited as an excellent example of a Centre. In any performance, all members will be at the focal point at some time, but a Centre is there at pivotal moments. This is especially so if they are also the Main Dancer, as Kai is. He was also the Face of EXO-K when they debuted, as Luhan was Centre and Face for EXO-M even though he was not a Main Dancer. The Centre is primarily a performance position and you might note that in many early performances, Kai's appearance is noticeable, for example being the only one with a particular colour on. This is so that other members and directors can spot them easily as a focal point so it is often someone who dances well and who is willing, as Kai is, to put in the extra hours to make his performance as good as possible. If you see EXO's line up at their debut, Kai and Luhan are in the centre. This must have been difficult for shy Kai who had only just turned 18, but he did it. With changes in the group, he no longer stands centre, but is close and is still often there when not in stage line up order. Simply put, the Centre is the focal point of the group.

As this were an old guide, let me keep you updated about kai :
- he had 3 solo albums with title (Mmmh (2020), Peaches (2021), and Rover (2023))
- theres FILM : KAI, FILM : KAI (ROVER) which is a snippet of all song from his album with visual graphic and Peaches : prologue (it's the same but only one song "Vanilla" from 2nd album)
- he had his first online concert on december 12th 2021 called "Kloor" consisted of songs from 1st & 2nd albums and pre solo songs like "ICU" etc
- he has "VR CONCERT" (means a concert made exclusively to watch with VR equipment) that will be launched on january 2024
- on March 2021 he had his own Collection colaborated with Gucci (bear theme)
- in 2021 he do lots of variety shows as a cast as a result getting him win "Rookie Entertainer Awards" in Blue Dragon Series Award 2022
- in 2022 he attended many festivals around the world (ex : in germany, london, australia)
- he has been on lots of magazine covers and currently work with Gucci (since 2019) and YSL beauty (since 2022) as global & korean ambassador and other local brand like olive young, charmzone, and bbc
- as of now kai is doing his duty on military service from may 2023- feb 2025

Whoo that got me missing Kai, my first member to go to military since I became an EXO-L (became a fan about halfway through the Suho, Chen, Chanyeol, Baekhyun military era) so his is the first I'll have to wait out the full duration. 🙁 He does have one of the best laughs but for me Sehun's laugh is the ultimate funny laugh. So when the two of them are laughing together you just cannot not laugh. 😆
The poem style you were wondering about is called an acrostic poem. You take each letter (or in Korean, each syllable) of a word or name and create a sentences starting with each syllable. It doesn't have to rhyme or make sense but if you can come up with sentences that all make sense together and are funny or clever, and related to the original name or word, that's the ideal. In kpop variety shows they are nearly always using either someone's name or a word related to what's going on in the moment.
