I don't know how to knit but I have been crocheting for well over 60 years! Started at around 6years old and am in my 70's now. My mother taught me. So many projects and not enough time!!
I'm so proud that you learned to knit 5 months ago. I'm 64, and learned to knit when I was 12...there was a girl on the school bus, (this girl seemed to know everything!)well when she noticed how interested I was...so she taught me. So at Christmas time I asked for yarn and needles. I was one happy kid!
You learned to knit 5 months ago! You go gurl!! My Grandmother taught me to crochet when I was very young. She tried teaching me to knit but I never really grasped it. I can barely do simple Tunisian crochet, so knitting seems so far out of my realm but I really want to learn. Thanks for doing your G.A.Y. video and sharing the love with your fans. I'm so broke, I can't afford the luxury of buying yarn right now so a box of free yard would be such a blessing! Thank you🥰
Thats amazing that you've taught yourself to do so many different textile styles, I'm proud of your progress, it gives me hope.Ive been crocheting since I was a kid but didn't take it seriously til a few years ago. KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK, No one would ever know you only been knitting for 5 months you're amazing. KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK.🎉🎉
You started knitting five months ago. I have been crocheting for the last 50 years and I’m still learning from all these wonderful individuals who share their skills. Keep blessing us with your wonderful skills.
You started 5 months ago I was violently attacked a year ago and wasn't supposed to survive over the year I have healed physically but my mental healing is a work in process and it's been my learning to loom knit and now beginning to learn crochet that has been my saving grace and my therapy.that said I am still in a nursing home and have no way of getting yarn unless someone is generous enough to drop me of some that they aren't using so I could really use this help ( fingers crossed) watching your videos is such a wonderful part of my life thank you so much for all you do you are helping people in ways you can't even begin to imagine
I’m so very glad you have reached 5k and I will be sharing your site with my friends and family😊 I see you have been knitting/crocheting for 5 months, I am 68 years old and learned to knit at the age of 7 and then self taught myself to crochet in my twenties, I have collected so many tools over the years, but now being retired and on a fixed income I really find it difficult to find good deals on yarn. My last yarn bargain was a few skeins of Big Twist from Joann’s. I will be watching for any news or updates and thank you so much for your positive attitude and you are so refreshing ❤God bless you and your business ambitions 😊
Wow 5 months is awesome. My daughter and I started to learn crochet together 2 months ago. I am slowly getting it while she is much faster. It's so relaxing and nice to bond over.
I5 months ago! I taught myself to knit about 45 yrs ago. Shortly thereafter, I taught myself to crochet. So, been doing this a long time! Just went one project at a time so have never had much "stash". I will choose #4! I love your energy!
You taught yourself to knit 5 months ago. That's so great, I am thinking about teaching myself to knit also. Congratulations girl on hitting a milestone on your channel. I'm a new subscriber so helping you reach the next milestone 😊. You popped up on my home page and I love your vibe! Thanks for the chance!
I started this past December and I love it.. my family keeps telling me about my great grandmother Edith crocheted and knitted as well as sewing so it feels nice to follow in her footsteps
Hi, nice to meet you. You just learned how to knit 5 months ago. I learned about twenty years ago. I kept riding past a yarn store for two years before I got the courage to go in and buy some needles and yarn. I then bought a book and I haven’t stopped since!
I taught myself at the age of twenty. I was about to have my first child and wanted to learn about fiber arts. I went to my local Woolworth picked a blue color yarn and a crochet booklet and began my journey with yarn . Then I picked it back up to help me with my depression. Ppl have no idea how much yarn and some library books help with depression. But I dabble in lots of craft projects throughout my life 60 yrs.
Good morning. It’s been a pleasure reading people’s comments and seeing their crochet / knitting history. I learned to crochet in October 1969 when I was 15; so I guess that would be 663 months ago. Shortly afterward, probably about 650 months or so, I learned the very basic barebones of knitting. I wanted to learn, but I’m right-handed and my friend who was trying to teach me is left-handed. Consequently, I learned left-handed knitting and never successfully adapted it to a skill I could manage as a right-hander - maybe someday. But I do love to crochet, both with yarn and with thread, as well as other types of needlework. In fact, I’ve been embroidering longer than I’ve been crocheting; one of my grandmothers taught me several embroidery stitches when I was three years old. She died a year later, so this has always been a very precious hobby for me. I also do some needlepoint and occasional plastic canvas. But the big thing I really want to master someday is tatting, which my other grandmother did. Thanks so much for making your content available and for taking an interest in your subscribers.
I love that you use your talents to help your church out. I'm determined to learn how to knit. Learning in 5 months is amazing! You go, girl! Congratulations on hitting 5K! Praying you hit your 10K by June. Blessings upon you and yours! May your business continue to flourish!
5 months ago yea team. I learned crochet by watching my grandmother as I was growing up, finally she gave me some scrap yarn and a crochet hook and the rest is history .I never learned knitting
You learned to knit about 5 months ago. I've been crocheting for over 40 years and I'm left-handed, so learning from my mom (right handed)was difficult until I figured out that I needed to sit across from her and do what she was doing without worrying about the outcome, which worked for me 😊. I also learned to knit when I was a teenager. I absolutely love crochet. 😅 I'm 56 now and last May I became very sick with pneumonia, unfortunately the infection got on the outside of my lungs and got into my spinal cord and vertebrae and I developed a spinal cord abscess which paralyzed me from my chest down. After having emergency surgery, 5 surgeons and robot assisted and it took them 5 1/2 hours to stabilize me and repair what was possible to repair. I have metal rods & fusions from the base of my neck all the way down to my tailbone... Thankfully I survived, unfortunately I will be in a specialized wheelchair for the rest of my life. I only have a 5% chance of ever walking again. I'm still in a nursing facility due to needing around the clock nursing care and having no family here in Florida it definitely has made this so much harder. The actual worst time throughout this devastating situation is when my mom passed away, about 2 months ago, from cancer. She was my only family and I miss her more than words could explain. I don't know what will happen next, I pray it's positive 😉. It's a very slow process getting State/government assistance,, especially for Long Term Care, which is very expensive. Winning a box of your beautiful yarn would lift my spirits more than anyone could imagine. I LOVE crochet and being unable to sit upright correctly and having to use a neck brace to keep my head upright and stable makes it quite challenging to say the least , thankfully I am a very strong woman that is going to crochet until I absolutely cannot!!! I apologize for babbling and taking up so much time. I want to thank you for being here on TH-cam because you lift me up and help me stay safe strong and looking forward instead of backwards. I want to thank you for being here on TH-cam because you have lifted me up and I truly appreciate your time and your beautiful kindness. You are AMAZING! Keep smiling , it looks GREAT on you!!! ❤
You learned to knit in 5 months. I need to review your knitting videos. I’ve been trying to learn to knit for years. My great grandmother knit and crochet, and I begged her to teach me and she never did. I learned how to crochet from my manager in the very first hair salon I worked in. So 5 months is impressive to me when I’ve been trying to learn for years.
Hi, thank you for the gym. You learned to knit 5 months ago. I have been wanting to try knitting again. I learned to knit and crochet 45 years ago, wasn't good at it and stopped, then began crocheting again a year ago and love it. Hope you reach your goal!
Congratulations on reaching 5K! You are from my birth state of Virginia! You started knitting 5 months ago which was before I even decided to start crocheting.
I learned how to crochet back in 2019 just before the lockdown started! I think I picked it up at the perfect time loll😂 now I’m actually considering putting myself out there and getting on TikTok too. I love love love seeing you guys on there smiling at how proud you are of your work and I think I wanna join you ladies!
Hi, you are a self-taught knitter and have been doing it for 5 months. I learned to crochet and knit when I was 6 yrs old. I have been doing both for 52 years.
Congratulations on learning to knit 5 months ago. Im 60 years old and self-taught as well. I taught myself to crochet at age 8 and a year ago learned continental knitting.
You learned knitting 5 months ago. New subscriber here. New to crochet. I am a month in and I am hooked (pun oddly not intended). Knitting is next, though yarn buying seems to be the main hobby lol. I was dealing with really bad winter blues and came across a crochet vid on tik tok. The next day went in a craft store and the rest is history. Wish I started sooner, but I am glad I took the step to get a hobby that’s just for me.
I actually just started this week! I'm actually a painter and really got inspired to learn. I'm 61 and I think my grandma phase is starting lol...So i need some new yarn. I only have 2 color yarns...that's it.
You taught yourself to knit 5 mo. ago. I have been crocheting and knitting since I was 10, I'm 63 now, started off with scarfs, hats, and blankets. Good for you your learning new things.
It's exciting to find out you learned to knit 5 months ago. I just got my needles in the mail last week band hope to get started soon. This is the first video I've seen of yours but I'm reasy to see your journey.
Love how you’re crushing through all the fiber arts. Congrats on your growing channel 🥳 I believe you’ll be able to win the bet with your husband 👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽I’m rooting for you !!! 🎉 5 months…no entry, just wanna play 🫶🏽
Congrats for hitting your goals! You do well only learning to knit 5months ago. I learned to crochet at 8 years old and still love learning new things.
I have been crocheting since I was about 10 years old and I hated it 😂 I started back in 2017 and loved it. If my grandmother can see me now 😂 To say you've been knitting for 5 months and is self taught is AWESOME!!! I also knit but love crocheting more. I just found your channel and love you ❤. Let's see if we can get you to your goal of 10k 🥰😎
I learned to knit and crochet somewhere in the early 1970’s, as a pre-teen. My mother taught me to knit, crochet, sew and do needlepoint. I left it alone for years, began again when my grandchildren were born. I found my sewing mojo and was pretty content. Then my son brought me a black trash bag full of yarn, needles, hooks and books and some other maker accessories. So, I finally went through the bag and began again. Because of my sewing knowledge, it makes it easy to make wearables, so now my grands get stuff. I’ve made some for my children and self as well. Funny enough not one item is from the yarn my son gave me. I am the second home for many de-stashed skeins. I get she’ll shocked when I look at the prices, so de-stash is the way for me. I am able to buy curated yarns meant for projects and it works out wonderfully. So many different fibers. All the blessings on this journey of yours. So glad you took the leap to begin your channel. Keep going, you’re doing great.
I’m teaching myself how to knit now. You have been knitting for 5 months. What types of items have you knitted so far? I have only made hats. Really like your personality and energy you have in your videos. Congratulations on 5k!!❤🎉
You started knitting "About 5 months ago." I started knitting in 2019 but gave that up quickly. I couldn't really seam to get it down right. I did switch to ceochet after that. I eventually picked up tunisian crochet as well and fell in love with it. Good luck everyone.
You learned to knit five months ago! I learned some thirty years ago but hadn’t touched it in at least 25! I just started back a few months ago and can’t believe the peace it gives me ❤ I also love to crochet so sending all the good feels your way !
Congratulations 🎉🎉🎉on 5k subscribers 🎉🎉🎉 and for learning to knit 5 months ago!! Looking forward to your reaching 10k🎉I looking forward to learning new things from your channel
You learned to knit 5 mths ago. Love your channel, you definitely have the personality to draw people in. I started crocheting again as cognitive therapy after a post-viral illness. Thanks for making it both interesting and entertaining!👋🏽👋🏽🎉🎉🤗🧶
Good morning. I’ve been crocheting for over 40 years and tried to learn to knit several times, last time being 2 weeks ago. Complete fail, sadly. But I am not giving up. I really really want to be able to knit. You learned to knit about 5 months ago, I hope I can say that one day!! My hands can crochet and I too love Tunisian, I can read patterns and graphs etc like a pro BUT cannot knit a darn stitch! Ugh so frustrating! Well, wish me luck I am going to try AGAIN. haha I’m a glutton for punishment. Hope you have a great day. 😊
Hi there. Love your channel. I believe from your videos you learned to knit 5 months ago. I've been crotcheting for several years and I'm self taught. I Tried knitting, failed miserably, but I will try again.
Would love to see more of your WIPs. And I learned to knit 4 years ago when my daughter asked me for a chunky heart sweater and I though OK how hard could that be...well, had to fiddle around with the yarn, needles and color work to make it work, definitely not easy at first.
Thank you for this giveaway opportunity. I’m new to your channel and truly enjoying it already. Congratulations on your 5K and your five months of knitting. I’m looking forward to joining you on this knitting journey as well as the Crochet fiber arts journey.
Around 5 months, and, yes, throw in the weaving! I took a class through the local community college non-credit courses. It's very different from knit or crochet! Did my part to get you to 10k--you totally got this :)
Hi Alaia, Great introduction -so nice to meet you! You are a personable and wise young woman, so be sure you will reach your goals! I learned to knit when I was a member of the Brownies/Girl Scouts at age 7. At age 10, I learned to crochet during that summer when I fractured my left ankle-I found I loved crocheting. My number is 2🎉🎉🎉!
Congrats on starting your knitting journey 5 months ago and on 5k subscribers. I was taught to crochet at around 8 years old by my great-grandmother. I am currently teaching my granddaughter how to crochet. I'm glad to have found your channel.
You started knitting 5 months ago and that's amazing! I love the fact that you edit videos for your church. I am glad I found your channel! God bless❤❤
Wow my friend. Time sure does fly by. I must say though you had me fooled in the beginning of this journey with you. I thought for sure you had been crocheting longer than pre-pandemic. Good on you for picking up Tunisian crochet so fast. Watching you stick it out and continue to learn knit after all your struggles in the very beginning, setting it down for some time, then picking it back up and running strong now for 5 months.... Amazing! Good job. I am now going to pick up knit again and see what I can create soon. Thank you for always keeping us INSPIRED.
Hi. It is so very nice to find your video. I learned to crochet from TH-cam around 2018-2019. I enjoy it so much. You learning to knit 5 months ago is incredible. I learned to knit when I was young, but I don't like it as much as crochet. Thank you so much for your generosity. I am looking forward to getting to know you through your channel.
#3 is my number and you have been knitting for 5 months now. Yaaaaaas! Support your local and small fiber businesses as much as possible. If you dony have a local fiber artist search etsy and support fiber/indy yarn artists there. I've been crocheting/knitting for 13 years. Covid sent me down the spinning wheel rabbit hole. I now have too much hand spun yarn (that needs to be dyed, already died yarn, and unspun fiber). Lol Spinning fiber is such a mindful yet meditative craft and it's addicting. Good luck on your Spinning journey! 🧶
I'm 67 years old and has been crocheting since I was 13. It's awesome that you taught yourself to knit 5 months age. I tried knitting and I just might go back to learning. Peace and Blessings!
5 months ago. With the help of TH-cam videos and instruction books I learned to crochet. I like the look of knitted items better than crochet but I'm having trouble keeping the yarn on the knitting needles.😊
Hi Girl! Congrats on your 5k 🎉🎉🎉 5months knitting is amazing. I started my knitting journey in september of last year and went all in participating in a KAL making a sweater I love both crocheting and knitting. Number 3 would be my choice 🧶🧶🧶
Hello. I am a crocheter of about 12 years. I tried knitting a hat a couple years back but didn’t stick it. However I am determined to try again! Thanks for the opportunity! It’s very nice of you. 😊
Hello! Fellow Virginian here! You learned to knit 5 months ago! Congratulations on this milestone and you should bet your husband a craft room makeover or yarn buying spree if you reach that next goal lol.
Congrats on your growth. I’m new here i love this content. You learned 5 mo ago. I wish you well and speed in your 10road.. I’d love to snag one of those boxes 📦
Hi my name is Helen nice to know another crocheter. I remember you saying you learned to knit 5 months ago. I learned to crochet from my grandmother when I was 9 years old. I make baby blankets for the hospital and lapghans for vets in the veterans home. My number is 4. Have a blessed beautiful. day
Its amazing that you started knitting just 5 months ago!🥰. Congrats on 5k! ❤ I also picked up crochet during Covid, and cannot imagine my life without it! I am so glad to have found you! Bless you for staying home to raise your children! I don't care about which gender you are or identify as our Gen Alpha should & needs more stay at home parents! Its sad that both parents have to work these days just to keep food on the table. Also, a friend of mine was a stay at home mom & homeschooled her kids, now they're grown & she has a severe cronic illness, but can't get on SSD because she has no work history!😢. She needs help so bad, but cannot afford for her ailing husband to retire because they need the health insurance. She has to pay someone out of pocket just to come help her while he's at work. I wish all parents that are able to afford for one to stay home with thier children should be able to claim that as their profession! Anyway, stay classy & sassy!❤️. I love your content!💯🥰 Much Love & warm Hugs 🤗 Megan from Arkansas ❤️

Congrats on passing 5K so quickly! You learned to knit 5 months ago. I taught myself from a book in 1985! So, with all these 5s, my number is 5.

Loving your spunk! Admire that you added knitting skills to your crafting resume, 5 months ago…..kudos!
Around 5 months, and, yes, throw in the weaving! I took a class through the local community college non-credit courses. It's very different from knit or crochet! Did my part to get you to 10k--you totally got this :)
Hi Alaia,
Great introduction -so nice to meet you! You are a personable and wise young woman, so be sure you will reach your goals!

You learned to knit 5 months ago 🎉 thank you for this opportunity for free yarn, your dedication is very much appreciated 😌
That's wonderful that you taught yourself to knit just 5 months ago. I'm trying to build up the nerve to try to learn knitting and Tunisian crochet.

I love your content!💯🥰
Much Love & warm Hugs 🤗
Megan from Arkansas ❤️
