Would only recommend this book if you don't own any of the others, (I have all three.) Beside the Story section there are only two pages, front and backs, of new content, from what I can see. The Legion Specific Special Rule, (One per Legion with no options,) and the specs for the Custodes. Would be a nice entry point otherwise just a lot of wasted paper.
It's lame they can't be bothered to come up with specific missions or a short campaign for this book. Then again, pretty much all the Aeronautica books just rehash content from either the boxed games rules or the cards with almost no narrative content.
@@johnmiddleton4291 From the rumour mill: All the people working on Titanicus and Aeronautica were moved over to work on the Horus Heresy, with GW's push to make it the next big thing. With both of them being pretty self-contained, small, specialist games and GW's incessant need for profit, it was almost inevitable that they'd both be cannibalised for the HH launch. The big test will be if GW allows people to return to the boxed games, or if they keep them working on all the codex updates needed for the other factions in 30K.
@@ScreamingTc Total side rant here.....The campaign and lore books will be the real test for whether HH is worthwhile. The lore in the core rulebook is pretty pathetic and the historical background isn't much more detailed than what you get in the current 40k rulebook. The chapter breakdowns are all about how merciless and devastating every chapter is and it gets comical that there really isn't any actual variation in them aside from color schemes. They all are going to be blood spattered killing machines if their primary weapons are chainsaws and explosive bolt rounds. They couldn't even be bothered to do new artwork in MK 6 armor for them. I think all the original writers and designers for AT have left the company entirely.
So this should be a free pdf with the few pages of new stuff to encourage existing players to expand their forces.

Question - do the rules just repeat what is in the Rynn's World and Taros books, or did they fold in the Smoke & Fire rules out of the Compendium?
Didn't take long to sell out in the UK, Aeronautica imperialis support I is shocking. GW need to get there sh*t together.

Why is this book necessary
Cost the same as the last compendium book they released... more pages, but all the same content, from what the reviews say. I'm getting it.
