Last day I connected to a server and after a while just forgot about it and started cooking some stuff and chillin, until some random bald guy in cammo broke into my house shouting "opa, opa, opa" with a brazilian accent and backstabbed me. Shit turned into Counter Strike 1.6 fast.
As a brazilian if you didn't tell me this happened in game I would've genuinely believed you

@@Ebani And honestly, that in and of itself is such a breath of fresh air. Kill-on-sight is the hallmark of being devoid of imagination and simply sticking to a monotonus, contrived formula.
Characterizing objects I think it is a cool way to invest a viewer. I was afraid that the mannequin was going to get shot too.

@@Taricus Honestly, if it wasn't for that dumb emoji I don't think anyone would have cared about the correction. That emoji just makes it seem like anything you say is ment to be rude. Maybe that just my personal hatred of that specific emoji. It's just so stupid and not in the "aw cute it's stupid" kind of way. More like stupid but also condescending and arrogant in a way.

I used to put a mannequin in a room in my base and pretend it was my wife or girlfriend or child or something like that. If zombies got into the room it was in the mannequin would be "dead". I did it so I had a reason to actually defend my base instead of just running away.

@@pite9 yeah i locked my wife in a barricaded room without light, food and water, i love her so much that i even barricaded door to her to be sure she's safe.
This would have been so much more hilarious, had the dude sat down with the mannequin after killing him, and assumed his position.
I Don't agree I thought he was ganna do that and I was ganna be like thats so obvious. Much more realistic to just loot everything and bounce.
i tough he was gona make the manikin folow him , like if he stealed his girl.
Alternative endings:
Option one - he strip's the guys corpse, dress as him, burns the corpse, assumes his position.
Option two - Strip the corpse, get a male mannequin, put the clothes on it, leave them on the beach together.
Option three - steal their valuables, burn them both as he walks away.

That sounds like a good solution.
But I would probably do it just as a "challenge".
I would play the game until I cleared them all out and "finish" the game that way. I wouldn't have to worry about long time drawbacks.
1. edit the zombies so they have no memory and can see terribly
or
2. get the inconspicuous trait
or
3. just walk away from them, if they still follow you walk into a building through a window, close it, go to the opposite side of the house, and jump out another window, the ai is too dumb to realize you pulled a power move.
This is the kind of shit you’ll catch me doing in an actually apocalypse
At least he lived a fairly eventful life with his beloved. Sadly, it was put to its end by one of the many maxed out aim players who just exclusively hunt those who don't PvP because it's fun. (For them.)
DayZ had a similar problem. I just ended up playing RP servers as they had a strict rule about no shooting on sight. But i will admit trying to kill that 1 asshole ruining the game with some people who he was also taking potshots at was always a great time

Add in food scarcity, and fear they might shoot you first, and people go haywire. Fuck, people even beat each other half to death and shoot each other over black friday sales.

This is the "Up" of Project Zomboid
Now that I think of it, project zomboid has a great potential for a life sim or a gta like simulation type game. I’d love to see mods, the game has that Sims 1 energy.
I'm actually pretty sure that the devs mentioned the isometric style was inspired by the sims

Imagine
You're in a multiplayer server, you have come across no humans in your journey so far. You enter a seemingly abandoned store, expecting to find a zombie or a human, you find a mannequin. That's it. You find a random mannequin posed like it was eating before the infection. You enter the bathroom and find another mannequin, next to the sink checking itself out. You find it odd and leave the bathroom, then look over to where the mannequin that was eating used to sit. It was missing. You turn the corner, expecting it to be your bad memory, but it's gone. It instead standing up at the counter, a cup infront of it. You start to freak out, entering the bathroom and finding the mannequin seemingly closer than it used to be.
You manage to escape the store, looking at the road for any zombies, instead finding a mangled mannequin, limbs sawed off and placed around the body of the mannequin. You panic, starting to wander off in another direction. You manage to find a wooded area, entering it and seemingly finding peace. No humans, no zombies, no mannequins. You happen upon a campsite and investigate, finding some food inside a picnic basket, no doubt having already spoiled. You look around and finally decide to open the tent, keeping a lead pipe out by your side incase a zombie was inside. You unzip the tent and open it, finding a mannequin almost 5 inches away from your face. You scream, alerting a nearby group of zombies.
You gather everything you could find, ignoring the mannequin, then escape the tent. You're being chased now, by a slow (or fast) cluster of Zombies. You find an old warehouse, and you open the shutters and go inside, closing the shutter behind you to stop any zombies from coming in. It's pitch dark now. You take your bag off and rummage through the contents to find a flashlight, the battery is almost dead. You turn it on, producing a big beam of light and a small hissing sound. You look straight ahead, finding 5 mannequins staring at you. Your flashlight starts to flicker, a sign of the battery starting to go out, everytime it flickered you noticed one mannequin starting to raise its hand, pointing at you. Your flashlight goes out once all five mannequins have pointed at you.
You hurry and start to go through your bag trying to find a spare battery, maybe you found one when you were raiding that store earlier- or when you were scavenging through that old decrepit house!- Upon finding a radio, you attempt to find the screws with your finger, opening up the back with your screwdriver and grabbing the batteries inside and jamming them inside your flashlight. You turn the flashlight on, a loud click echoing through the warehouse, thankfully you looked to see if all the doors were closed before your flashlight died, to which they were.
You look up, expecting to see the mannequins back where they were. They were closer. A LOT closer. Two on the far sides with their hands on the bellies and posing slightly up, like they were laughing and mocking you, and two beside them, on one knee with their hands out like they were looking for something, like when you were going through your bag. You notice the middle one, a bit farther than the others, one hand up and gripping the air, like it was a flashlight. They were all in poses you made. You attempt to walk past them when you feel someone grab your arm, gripping it tightly. You feel a sharp pain in your back, then you fall over.
You see a crazed man holding a fireaxe and gun on his back. He stomps on your gut again, you almost black out from the sheer pain. The man grips his axe again, pulling it over his head and then swinging it down on you. You were now dead. This is how you died.

So I've been playing co-op with friends fir the past few weeks. Though I got itch to join a random public server. Spawned in a random house, dude jumped through the window amd stabbed me to death with an umbrella. Not a single word spoken.

I would put multiple mannequins in the same room in single player. It was like having a party.
They had us in the first half, I am not gonna lie.
