This is a bitty silly with 98 songs played by mostly Finnish audience, then the international metal scene hitting Korpiklaani and then there's Käärijä.
You should react to "Elastinen ja Jenni Vartiainen - Epäröimättä hetkeekään | Emma Gaala 2021" It's the song 60 on this list. Emma gaala is basically the Finnish Grammys and this is a live performance.
"Keinutaan" by Antti tuisku & "Häissä" by JVG & "tarkenee" by JVG SO nostalgic (T_T). Childhood. Elementary school. The school discos, radio, everywhere 10 yrs ago..
haha omg last time I heard "apulanta - lokin päällä lokki" I had to do an essay about it in school. And I hated the song and the long essay work broke me when I was doing it when I was younger. I got traumatized lol. I didn't know the song was this popular
So many good songs in this list. As you said, there are naturally only few from earlier decades - unfortunately, as in a way the list gives a wrong picture of what the entire population really is listening to. Still, as you could see, nowadays Finns mostly listen to pop and rap - almost no rock, a big sigh! PS. Although this is a list of only songs in Finnish, a compiled list wouldn't be that different, as we Finns love our music in Finnish!
DIngo must be hugely popular to get on that list with a song from 1984. Most of the Spotify users probably weren't even born yet. And as it happens, a movie about the band is in the theaters right now: "LEVOTON TUHKIMO elokuvateattereissa 25.12.2024 (traileri)". Here's an Estonian cover of the song: "Mari-Leen "Rahutu tuhkatriinu" live". Here are two covers of their other songs by Marco Hietala, who used to be in Nightwish, and by Timo Kotipelto from Stratovarius. Goes to show what impact the 'Dingomania' had at the time: "Marco Hietala Nightwish - Nahkatakkinen tyttö, Dingo cover" and "Timo Kotipelto - Valkoiset tiikerit". What's impressive is how well Max pronounces Finnish and how he remembers artists after hearing them once.
@@MaxSujyNorden how would you being French help with the pronouncing? Finland isnt a Latin language or even a Indo-European language, its an Uralic language.
Tässäkö tää oli is pronounced pretty much exactly as you did 😊 Finnish Ä is the vowel sound that in English is in words like hat, cat, apple, ankle, and, hand, grand, damn... etc. Compare that to the first vowel sound in words like father, son, sun, other, love, mum, salt, which in English can be a, o, u, or even i (mile, pint, high) but in Finnish (and in many other languages) is simply written as A.
hi there max and sujy i have stumble across a youtube clip you might like. there is a guy from england that travels around europe and visit diffrent places and so on and he goes by the youtube name " Matt Whiting's Europe " he just visit a small town in sweden that not so many know about and that video is called " Where the HECK is Trollhättan? 🇸🇪 (Gothenburg’s Best Day Trip!) " trollhättan is like 40 min away whit train from gothenburg so you can make a day visit from gothenburg to visit the town, if you want to see a town that is not rural but is not like the big city either. just a tip from me :) have a great day!
shows you that finnish mostly listens to shit...Mirella is seriously good. Spotify doesn't either cover sales of lp's and physical formats. There it would be all metal.
Hello! :)
Cha cha cha obviously got huge amount of listeners with eurovision, but Korpiklaani was really positive surprise at 2nd place :)
I didnt expect korpiklaani to be second, brilliant

- "how do you pronounce tässäkö tää oli with so many dots on the A"
*pronounces it near perfectly*
Wow!!
There are quite a few rap songs on there but they clipped the chorus feat rather than the actual rap
Maybe that's why we liked the list even more! :)
That list doesn't have any songs in english, because it's a Top100 list of Finnish songs in, you guest it, in Finnish.
Yeah, I figured it out early, héhé!
Korpiklaani was really positive surprise on the list 😄
"Kylmii väreitä" & "Hei rakas" are my fav songs 💗
Love the video ❤

Wow I didn't know I knew so many songs (I've heard almost every at least once). Most of them are inescapable if you live in Finland
"Keinutaan" by Antti tuisku & "Häissä" by JVG & "tarkenee" by JVG SO nostalgic (T_T). Childhood. Elementary school. The school discos, radio, everywhere 10 yrs ago..

I'm suprised they didn't list neither Robin Packalen nor Anna Puu

Hello! :)
shows you that finnish mostly listens to shit...Mirella is seriously good. Spotify doesn't either cover sales of lp's and physical formats. There it would be all metal.
We did react to another Top 100, including in English, so there was more Finnish metal.
I did not realize finnins people have so bad taste in music.. Korpiklaani was the only positive surprise..
