@Slab Lab , if you are a box expert, you must know Canelo can upper cut with either hand with the same heavy power. So it doesn't really matter which way his opponent tend to dodge. He'll catch him any way

Lot of comments, not many about this fight. Plant's combinations were absolutely on point, penetrating the guard with hard uppercuts and hooks. Those scoring jabs were beautiful, Feigenbutz never had a chance to establish forward momentum through them. I'm sure his game plan was to tank shots to get in close, but that doesn't work against someone with strong enough jabs to mitigate or redirect your dash. Plant's defense was better, his offense was sharper, Feigenbutz was hurting. The ref made the right call.
I believe Caleb Plant would give Canelo Alvarez a run for his money. Plant's speed, combinations, and switching angles would give Canelo a hard time... I take Plant over Canelo.
Power does not bother Canelo Alvarez at all; what bothers the Mexican is speed and switching angles constantly, not staying in front of him slugging it out. Therefore, Plant would be a good challenge for Canelo...

It'll depend on how well Caleb can take Canelos power and how well he can handle the pressure canelo will put on him. Canelo will be the clear favorite to win but its a great match up, Caleb and Andrade are the only ones in the division that'll give Canelo problems
Hes a great hungry young fighter. 1 of the few I respect as far as how they move. I respect all fighters for the job they do. However some are professional duck artists.
Very good combos but, the thing about Canelo is he's not going to stand there and take it like this guy did. Canelo will fire back and fire back harder. Canelo will always come forward no matter who he fights and will close the gap over time. I think Plant vs Canelo will go a lot like the Billy Saunders fight went, Plant will look good for the start and fade till he gets knocked out in the 7th-8th round.

What i love about plant is that he has power but he chooses to box and use movement and defense to set the power up rather than stand and bang where you can get in trouble for doing that. Great skilled boxer and he is definitely getting better.

In germany feigenbutz is very famous, i used to train with him once when he had a seminar at our gym. Crazy to see him in such big heights fighting in the USA. He showed a good fight still against such a beast. It's sad he didn't win tho, he's the german Mike tyson, if he hurts you, he will finish you off with a knockout. He has almost 100 percent knockout rate in all his wins
100% honesty. I grew up in Ashland city same place Caleb did. I was just a kid going to the basketball courts behind the post office. Watching this man dunking the hell out the ball time and time. Was athletic in every sport. And also was extremely humble. Nice to everyone. He grew up in a trailer with dope sick mom and no dad there with him thru it all. His sister was in my class and she was bullied so bad by tons of nasty other teens. He had a child and she died not even a year into her life. I’ve seen him at music city boxing gym when I got a membership there. He helped tons of kids who were training and never had a bad attitude. Worked so hard day after day for hours on end. I know that doesn’t mean he will win. But this man has heart. And when you doubt the dog you get bit. So sit back and say what you want. But just wait and see what he’s got. Some moves of plant look like floyd. The way he throws lefthand, angles, range. But he's not defensive as floyd. I think its a close fight if he fight canelo. canelo is a beast and stronger pucher but plant is more skilled.

Andre Ward & Chris Areola both picked Plant to beat Canelo so, I'm here scouting Plant. He has an extensive amateur career winning National Golden Gloves along with 97 amateur wins. The casual fan thinks Canelo is going to dominate, but Caleb will come real close to beating Canelo, I'm just unsure how Caleb is going to take Canelo's power. Caleb definitely has the boxing skills to beat Canelo if he's able to handle Canelo's huge power.
I've been watching him since before he turned pro trust me he's the real deal. He's one of those guys that will literally die in the ring before he quits or throws the towel in. That's the main thing people are underestimating going into the Canelo fight...Alot of people know he is good physically and skill wise but people don't understand how mentally and physically tough he is and he has an iron chin but he doesn't get hit alot so he hasn't got to show it at this level yet. He was taking big shots from Uzcatagi who was a devastating KO puncher at the time and it didn't deter him at all. Don't be fooled by the casual fans. Shawn Porter has sparred him and has seen him work for years and he often talks about how tough and rugged he is.

Plant looks very suceptible to counterpunch, as he is often wide open. He could have hard times (at least) facing Canelo. That said, it's hard to make significant statment based on such one-sided fight, with C-level oponent (brave but with no punching power nor any trace of skill).
Watch all his fights in depth and study him, also watch his training videos, he likes to use the jab a lot, it's his main weapon and he likes to use the philly shell which isn't recommended if you're not using big gloves and you're not very good defensively and have very good head movement

In germany feigenbutz is very famous, i used to train with him once when he had a seminar at our gym. Crazy to see him in such big heights fighting in the USA. He showed a good fight still against such a beast. It's sad he didn't win tho, he's the german Mike tyson, if he hurts you, he will finish you off with a knockout. 100% honesty. I grew up in Ashland city same place Caleb did. I was just a kid going to the basketball courts behind the post office. Watching this man dunking the hell out the ball time and time. His sister was in my class and she was bullied so bad by tons of nasty other teens. He had a child and she died not even a year into her life. I've been watching him since before he turned pro trust me he's the real deal. He's one of those guys that will literally die in the ring before he quits or throws the towel in. That's the main thing people are underestimating going into the Canelo fight...Alot of people know he is good physically and skill wise but people don't understand how mentally and physically tough he is and he has an iron chin but he doesn't get hit alot so he hasn't got to show it at this level yet. He was taking big shots from Uzcatagi who was a devastating KO puncher at the time and it didn't deter him at all. Don't be fooled by the casual fans. Shawn Porter has sparred him and has seen him work for years and he often talks about how tough and rugged he is.
