Ghatal Bhasa Pol || Ghatal Floating Bridge || Medinipur || Mon Ja Chai

Ghatal is a city and a municipality in Paschim Medinipur district, West Bengal, India. It is the headquarters of the Ghatal subdivision. Ghatal is a flood-prone area and in many years is flooded by the Shilabati River. The river Shilabati divided the city into two parts.There is one peculiar floating bridge on the river made of by joining some boats tied with rope from both sides in the banks, called "Bhasa Pool" (floating bridge).
This is one of the ancient creations of the Industrial Town Ghatal. This bridge on River Shilabati is made with flat broad wooden platforms on boats floating on river. The bridge adjusts its height on high and low tides. The bridge can be opened once a day to facilitate the water transportation.
This is a heritage bridge for the west bengal people.Because this type of bridge are not doneany where in India.

Vasapool theke bazar area te uthtei.Kuthibazar & Kuthi building.
Last of all, Vidyarsagar-er birthplace to mention kortei holo !
Ghatal Vidyasagar High School 1882 te onar totkalin Anudan te situated.
Ghatal akti Prachin trade Kendra & jolo- bondar .
Deowani Court Ghat -er kachhe akti old falak te mention achhe.
Aage Vessel Ghatal theke Kolaghat jeto.Kolkata jaowar route chhilo.
Ghatal Panskura/ Ghatal Howrah way bridge ti nirman howar por chalu hoyechhe.
Borong, west side Ghatal -C K.Road onek old.
Vidyasagar mohashoy Goghat- Arambag route diye Kolkata jatayat kolten !
Anyway, Ghatal amon ak sub-division 5 ti Municipality achhe. Ghatal, Kharar, Ramjibanpur, Khirpai,Chandrakona Town. Very soon Daspur tao hobe !
