    tbh its more profitable for the companies to just let people be working from home since 1, they could re purpose those offices for something else more important or profitable 2, saving bills on water and electricity 3, less problem for ulitilities staff 4, less abused building 5, less repairs around and inside the building there;s alot of benefits for them tbh

      Taxing based on road usage actually makes complete sense. Someone with an EV uses no gas and drives 100mi a day vs someone who drives 5 mi a day and is consuming gas which is taxed is not properly collecting taxes for infrastructure/road repair.

    Just extend weight fees to everyone. I've been paying weight fees all my life. From my 1974 El Camino, 82 Toyota 4x4, to my y2k Taco. It's based on unladen weight and I pay it every year even though I have only 200 miles since covid started. EV weigh more so their fees would be proportionately higher. No tracking of miles needed and no tracking of people (we have cell phone towers and CCTV for that).

    Tax gas for lambroginis and ferrari at 50-100% of price. tax illegal immigrants sending money to 'mi pais' at 200% of every dollar that leaves the country. Tax chinese corporations who buy our farmland and factories at 500%. A 'miles driven' tax is the most regressive thing i ever saw and will cripple the middle class.

  • @shad0wCh8ser
    @shad0wCh8ser 11 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

    How about you install heavier taxes for big rigs, dump trucks, and ppl hauling heavy construction machinery bc those are the ppl that are tearing up the roads. I noticed that when they re-pave a road and then, suddenly the next week, the roads are all gashed up and bumpy and I'm like why is that when they just re-paved it last week? Then I notice that every time that happened there were new house or apt constructions going on or they are building a new shopping center and I'm stuck behind these huge trucks hauling demolition machinery and that's when I realize that the reason all the roads are tore up is bc they was hauling these big items... Regular roads aren't made to hold up that much weight and that's why the all get cracked and eventually lift off bc of that.
    And as far as Coffee Badging, maybe they need to identify WHY ppl don't want to come in instead of forcing ppl to. Seem like a work place culture to me or poor management that is the issue. No one WANTS to work but there are some places ppl don't find a burden to come into work. In fact they enjoy it. If you want ppl to come into work, and work with enthusiasm, then you have to identify and rectify the reason why ppl don't want to come in instead of "forcing' ppl to do anything. I'll give you a hint, it's usually bc of someone who is terrible to work with or work under. Work is work, you have to do it either way. If thing weren't getting done then the business would not exist so ist not the "work" per se that is causing ppl not to want to go in office. It's usually always ppl's personality that is an issue.

    "Coffee badging" is the golden hour where a commute takes 30 minutes than staying until rush hour and commuting for 90. They're not "gaming" the system, they're just trying to avoid traffic! CEOs wouldn't know because they have personal drivers (and for bigger companies, pilots) to transport them to and from the office.

    40% EV? Unlikely, since with EVs, they can track you 100% where you go, and what you do so they can track your miles... It's not about the environment. Now that you know folks.

    • @NackDSP
      @NackDSP 11 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Uh, no. How do they track an electric motor anymore than a gas engine. "They" already track you to every gas station, where you swipe your card and get captured on video. I charge at home, never drive my EV to the gas station. "They" don't have any idea where my car is. Wake up. You are the one being tracked.

    They could still charge tax the same way they do gas as they do electricity. The car can communicate with the charger and log how many instate charging locations (if at home or at a charging station) and that could be reported. Or the charger themselves could charge you tax at the station or by the power company at a at home charger.
