President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. welcomes Prime Minister Fumio Kishida of Japan as the latter commences his two-day Official Visit to the Philippines from November 3-4, 2023.
Accompanied by the rest of the Japanese delegation, Prime Minister Kishida is accorded with arrival honors and signs the guestbook before proceeding to a private meeting with the President at the Malacañan Palace.
According to the Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA), both leaders are set to discuss a wide range of mutual concerns between the Philippines and Japan. These cover regional and international issues, including the further advancement of relations between the two countries in terms of political, security, economic and development cooperation, as well as people-to-people ties.
Likewise, President Marcos Jr. and Prime Minister Kishida are set to hold a bilateral meeting with their respective delegations and witness the exchange of various agreements prior to delivering their respective joint statements.
The Chief Executive has previously met with the Japanese Prime Minister during his Official Visit to Japan in February this year.
