I use a medium action rod - a reel with enough line capacity for bomb casts - and BPS high vis braid (4lb - 10lb test). I fill mine about 1/2 way. One thing that water bobber videos don't mention is the more water you put in the further you can cast...but also the smaller the above part gets. In windy or bright conditions you may not see your bobber. That is where the high vis line comes into play. Fun technique - who doesn't love seeing their "cork" go under! You can put a bunch of different options under the bobber - live bait, soft plastics or even flies
I've never really used that thing as a bobber I've used it filled it with water left to buy the 4-ft leader off of the bottom of it and used it as weight to throw fly out there
I should give this technique a try on the days when neither spoons nor spinners are doing the trick.
Definitely! Thanks for watching

It's not a public access area. It's a spot I lucked into by a friend
Looks fun!

Awesome video as always my friend, are you just letting it float with slight twitching or just a few reels here and there?
A little of both. Most bites on this trip came on a dead drift
Awesome videos. Sorry if this question has already been answered, what camera do you use to film?
GoPro Hero 9 with the max media and lens mods
Thanks! @@NRVOutdoors
What a cracking video buddy. You make it all look sooooo easy 😄😄😄. Would this method work on the river ???? All the best 🎄🎄🎣🎣😄😄👍👍
Yes it will. Thanks for watching!!!
i just wished i could catch half the fish you do, but i will keep trying
I'm very blessed to have the opportunities to fish as often as I do. Unfortunately the skunk days rarely make it on youtube lol
It's a great area and with all that water in that bobber, how is it supposed to float. Also have a happy New years too.
It's a fantastic design. They can hold up to ¾ of the cavity and still float. Thanks for watching!
