Namaskaram Jai Sri Krishna Have a beautifully sharing the excellent Carnatic Musical Vocal concert of the Carnatic Musical Vocal Exponent Vidhushi Ms Sudha Ragunathan
Thank you for uploading this wonderful kutcheri of Mrs. Ragunathan. So many pidigal to learn from the riveting Thodi. Pranams from an ardent die hard bhakthar of the MLV School of music.
Respect! Absolute command over each and every kriti presented in this concert... such virtuosity! Especially to choose a "simple" kriti like Bandureetikolu and conduct a master class on Hamsanaadam Ragam.... wow!
the accompanists are wonderful and dominated the concert. raagaalaapana is fantastic. but as a layman i could not follow the lyrics tyagaraja keertanas. as a telugu man I tried my levelbest to follow the lyrics. but could not. am I faulty in following the lyrics ? tone is so sweet not leave the concert to hear for a long hour, Since my childhood along with my father I used to hear the concerts in AIR during night times broadcast by AIR at 10 p.m. on Tuesdays RAAGAM, TAANAM , PALLAVAI used to be broadcast. to my misfortune I could not understand the keertanas in this concert.
It is a pity that established senior vidwans are singing same known raagams for several years. There is no eagerness to present new rare raagams to the audience who also seem to like same stuff.Only new ragam presented here is Rasikapriya.
THE VAGGEYAKARA'S NAME IS THYAGARAJA SWAMI,WHOSE MOTHER TONGUE IS" TELUGU",PLEASE,STOP MAKING PSUEDO IDENTITY OF HIM AS TAMILIAN AND DONT MAKE HIS NAME AS THYAGARAJAR,THYAGAYYAR,THIYAGARAJAN ETC,DONT MANIPULATE THEIR NAME,IDENTITIES FOR GOD SAKE PLEASE,WE DONT HAVE THAT RIGHT,I DONT UNDERSTAND WHY THESE TAMILIANS ARE SO LINGO-FANATICS,SORRY HAD SAY IT AS I HAVE N NUMBER OF EXPERINCES WITH TAMILIAN PRETENDING AS THEY DONT KNOW TELUGU,ALTHOUGH I PERSONALLY,KNEW THEY KNOW TELUGU,WE ARE INDIANS LETS RESPECT EACH OTHERS LANGUAGES,AND STOP MISREPRESENTATIONS,MANIPULATIONS.MANY TAMILS DO ACCEPT THIS AND THEY KNOW IT TO THEIR HEART.
keshav anand Hello Keshav Garu. My mother tongue is Telugu and I love the language. I also have a deep fascination towards Tamil as a language too. I just wanted to add my opinion to your statement on people adding "Thyagarajar, Thyagayyar" Its similar to the vibhakti prathyayams that we have in Telugu, How we make "Rama" as "Ramudu", "Seetha and Rama" as "Seetha Ramulu" It does not have anything to do with any fanaticism! :) And Carnatic music transcends barriers of all languages. It is a language in itself which communicates to the soul beyond reach of any language! :)
+keshav anand, I did find the copy of St. Thiagaraja's signature in Tamil Language where he has donated his land for the then Marathi royal family for a pathway. Though he did not compose songs in Tamil, he did have proficiency in Tamil. So like many Telugu folks who have made Tamil Nadu their home state, he must have spoken and written Telugu at home but spoke and wrote in Tamil in the public life. Also he was wealthy enough to donate land and not a landless person as told by many!
My post was 1)claiming Thyagaraaja swami's Mother Tongue was TELUGU,2)Has IT BEEN SO WHY DINT U POST HIS SIGN,WHATS THE AUTHENTICITY OF IT???3)WHY DINT HE COMPOSE IN THE THEN COURTLY LANGUAGE MARATHI AND HOST LANGUAGE TAMIL?????4)EVIDENCES OF CLAIMING HE SPOKE AND WROTE IN TAMIL IN PUBLIC LIFE?EVEN IF HE DID SO,WE DONT HAVE ANY RIGHT TO TAMILISE NON-TAMILS SIR AND BUILD THEIR PSUDO IDENTITIES,PLEASE,DR.RADHAKRISHNAYYA WAS A TELUGU MAN SETTLED IN TIRUTTANI,SEE HIGN IN WIKIPEADIA
His correct name was 'Kakarla Thyagabrahmam'. But he is popularly known as 'Saint Thyagaraja'. Although he has been called by some modified names, what he has created in music is most important than anything else.
Excellent. Tempo is Well maintained. Good Involvement. I enjoyed listening to your program.
God Bless U all.. Excellent Accompaniments.
this is so amazing. i dream of sitting in the audience for a concert like this.

Wonderful concert thank you for uploading
There is a mismatch between the audio and video. It matters when a viewer sees the thaala beats of the singer.
Masterful!
