Legion of Honor -- Thompson Plays George M. Cohan

Keith Thompson, organist, plays Stephen Foster songs on California Palace of The Legion of Honor's magnificent pipe organ. Mr. Thompson was one of four finalists in the Grand Prix de Chartres, International Concours d'Orgue in Chartres, France. He serves as the organist today at the Novato (California) Methodist Church. The one-of-a-kind pipe organ, built in 1924, has 4,500 pipes with the smallest being just over one foot long and the longest at 32 feet. Organ concerts are held throughout the year at the Legion of Honor. Featured at the end is Cohan's "You're a Grand Ole Flag."
