Johnny Steele doesn't exist, but he's one of my favorite singers of the 80's !
As a kid I used to believe Johnny Steele was a real-life singer XD
@@bradholland68 Yeah, I've grown up since, you know, thence I know who Terence Mann is...
I mean this really does sound like an actual buttrock song from the 80s haha, it's even a little better than most
I'm making sure this song is played at my wedding
If you do tag me when you upload it. I can’t miss such an epic moment!!!
Terrance Mann was the Man!! His Johnny Steele character was so good! Love this song 38 years later still!
I loved his serious expression and rock-star hair. I’m still hoping we get to see him in another Critters movie; he mentioned the possibility in a behind-the-scenes feature on the Blu-Ray release of Critters 4.
This song is so good in 2024. I remember when I first watched this movie I was like damn that’s a great song!
I´m a proffesional screenwriter who saw Critters in 1986, To this day I say that the idea of a space bounty hunter who choose a rock star to blend in among humans is ABSOLUTELY GENIOUS. Is not just hilarious, is a great way to give a bad ass character to a strange being.
This is the best song in the movie still
So catchy after 35 years
It’s the only song anyone remembers… and it has no business being this good
The cute blonde chick playing guitar is who wrote this song. Her name is Ché Zuro. She has a great song on the Critters soundtrack called "No Turning Back".
@@michaelobama6455 Get any what? Pussy? lol More than enough, buddy.. What kind of douche bag question is that?

Man, I miss the 80's.
This song is way too good. Hard to believe it wasn't a massive hit in the 80s and it was just in this obscure 80s flick.
This song reminds me of my childhood . ❤
best heavy metal song of all times
Rocked this Halloween 2023 🤘🤘🤘🤘
Terence Mann is Great Singer😊❤❤❤❤❤
I love how the bounty hunters just go from world to world, town to town destroying everything in their paths to get to their prey. Hilarious and badass. Very fitting theme.
it's class that they pulled out a hit just for a small scene in the movie. It's a genuine potential number 1 worldwide hit
Viel besser als die Musik aus dem Jahr 2024 die 80er waren einfach unglaublich gut.
So sehe ich es auch, habe den Film erst vor ein paar Tagen gesehen und dachte dass es Johnny Steele wirklich gibt 🤣.
I wish this was on spotify
The 80s was so popular back then
Gotta love that reverse face melt🔥☠️🖤
The 80's had some great fun cheesy horror films with awesome effects and soundtracks.
@@V8AmericanMuscleCar you grew up watching awesome movies 👍 if I'd of seen these as a kid I probably would of been scared outta my wits as well 😅
In my mind, Johnny Steele was one of the biggest stars of the 80s and will remain one of the greats! So will warden Zanti, and if you don’t know who he is… well you’re just clearly not a big enough critters fan…
I used to be TERRIFIED of this movie for so many years but when I finally faced my fears and watched this I quickly feel in love with this song
Same but I was able to watch because it was a funny scary movie
Classic movies , im suprised it hasnt been ruined by a reboot 😊😊😊
Absolute banger
Without a doubt one of the best songs heard in any 80's horror movie considering that it appeared in Critters. Add to the fact that it was sung by Terrence Mann makes this song even more iconic and unforgettable.
I'm autistic I've been collecting critters real movie props & memorabilia for years ❤ CRITTERS is the greatest movie of all time! ❤❤
This song is criminally underrated
You know there are some kids who get into movies for their music and this little ditty is the reason Critters is among my favourites of all time!!! All hail Johnny Steele!
@@Johnlindsey289 I don't mind it (sure is better than 3 or 4), but it definitely doesn't hold a candle to the original for me
@@Groovy213
As much as i love part 1, i think part 2 surpasses the first due to more critters, more thrills, the town being th setting, the ball of critters and that hot blonde centerfold bounty hunter Lee (She was a beauty eh?).
@@Johnlindsey289 Yeah, that's fair. It definitely ups the ante and the carnage, which is nice. And can't disagree with you about the blonde ha ha. At the end of the day it is a respectable sequel (and like I said, much better than the next two)
The nostalgia stings on this bruh...POWER OF THE NIGHT!
I watched the movie so much as a kid and would listen to the soundtrack all the time. They just don't make movies like this anymore
You brought me back to my childhood with this comment. My friends and I used to get together in the summer and watch that movie. ❤️
you can tell that manns years of being a stage actor really helps him doing the rocker thing on stage in this move the man is a wonderful actor.
@@DrQuagmire1 i recall reading somewhere Mann did not do these vocals.
@@Johnny_Thunder you're wrong on tht one, he did his own vocals. He was a trained singer.
01:05 I believe that footage of the city at night is the same footage used in the intro to 1987's 'Robocop' when the main title appears on screen.
Johnny Steele rules!!!🤟🎸🔥
Best movie soundtrack of all time.
Obviously you've never seen
Kevin & Perry Go Large
The Blues Brothers

And, South Park: Bigger Longer & Uncut
It certainly is. There needs to be a critters the ride just like saw the ride. A launch caster with this blasting away @themeparkworldwide
Don't know why people hate this song so much. It's awesome!
Terrance Mann is fantastic in this. He legit could have been a rockstar. Btw if you want to see Terrence Mann now he’s on Foundation Apple TV show and yes he’s fantastic there as well.
One of my favorites 80’s songs
Power of the night>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>all modern music
It’s 2023 and this still hittin’
I wish they had released a full music video of the "Johnny Steele" performance.
Regardless of it being from a movie, i genuinely like this song
I'm forever sad that Johnny Steele is not a real musician. I'd love to listen to him more.
I loved Critters 1 and 2. Lots of memorable characters especially Charlie.
I loved the first movie for this great song!
This song really set the tone for 'Critters'
💪'Critters' wouldn't have been as good without it!
this song makes me wish we got a critters film that focused on the bounty hunters and was a action horror
Yes, Johnny fuckin Steele with Power of the night! This song made this film what it was. I love it. I love the 1980's everything. 🤞🤙♠️🍀🍀🍀💪✊👊👍💥💯🍀🍀🍀🍀🍀🍀🍀🍀
Terrance Mann LIVES FOREVER!
I still want to buy Johnny Steeles Album!
Brings back great childhood memories
Surprised no one ever did a cover version of this song.
How 2022 going so far? Start it with this awesome song, and it can't be so bad.
All rise for the National Anthem of the Critters Mythos
Con mi escena favorita. Los exterminadores de Critters eran mis favoritos.
Fun fact: Johnny Steele's actor Terrance Mann is actually a Broadway singer, he originated the role of Rum Tug Tugger in Cats.
Great song, brilliant film. Critters, they bite.
Absolute classic song! aswell as the movie... had all movies on VHS😂😆
It’s a crime this isn’t on Spotify
Totally rocking music 🎶
I was walking around the house singing this fir the past week just had to look it up yesssss.

Czemu coś tak zajebistego ja ta piosenka Che Zuro nie stała się ogólnoświatowym hiciorem?
Truly awesome child hood memories
This is still an awesome song and I love critters what a classic
You wanna know what, You can go on ahead & Play this old school 1986 soundtrack song at my funeral once I'm gone, because I just love it. Music has changed a lot nowadays in this place. 👍💪👊👊💥🍀🍀🍀🍀🍀🍀🍀🍀🍀
this song just popped in my head a while back, took me a while to figure out it was from Critters. It's a pretty great 80s song
Johnny steele te amo ♥️
This song was in my head a couple days ago and I didn't know if the lyrics were right so all I sang was
"It's the power of the night, streets are calling! It's the power of the night, play it louder" just on repeat
As a kid I was lucky enough to watch many movies on a projector. It was such a great experience, better than the cinema.
It was such a different time.
I love the movie. Great song. Great memories. Great video. Rock on!💙💚💖
Loved this as a kid still do 😆
This and photoplay from The Terminator are two of the most underrated 80s movie tracks ever.
The terminator soundtrack is quality. Burning in the 3rd degree is my favourite

Terrence Mann was so perfect
That right there is the voice of a Tony Award winner.
I love that the only time another song plays in the movie the radio/tv is shot
Rock on Terrence Mann.

Power of the Night.....Streets are calling! Stealing from the light....Shadows crawling!
Jai regardé le film hier, que des souvenirs.
Since I was a child I have seen these types of movies and I love this soundtrack that, in addition to filling me with nostalgia, is pure fire.
Even now I still find the first Critters film genuinely creepy. The rural isolation, the darkness, the giant critter, this song.
Legit 80's nostalgia overload! I'm stepping into a time machine now
This is a genuinely great song. It would make for an awesome opening credits song for some kind of video game where you play a jaded cyborg detective in a highly advanced Los Angeles in the year 2345.
Like it's all just close up shots of said detective fearing up; he slips on leather gloves, holsters his pistol, laces up his boots. And as soon as the chorus kicks in at 1:06 -- boom! We zoom out to see the detective's vehicle speeding off into the night towards a massive and partially bombed out skyline.
The title card appears with the game's title in neon red.
this track is awesome
Classic film and good music
[Verse 1]
Something's gonna happen
Do you feel it in the air?
Could be the fear that's everywhere
World don't look friendly, there's blood in the sky
And a taste of sweat burning in my eye, yeah
The kids are getting ready, you think they're insane
And the streetnight's comin' and they'll never be the same
Look out for the darkness, hold on to your soul
It's the call of the wild and it's called rock and roll
[Chorus]
Power of the night, streets are callin'
Stealing from the light, shadow's crawlin'
It's the power of the night, streets are callin'
Power of the night
[Verse 2]
Nighttime's afire, we are the heat
The flame is desire, burns in the street
Know it's gonna strike again and again
Hold on to the night, hold on 'till the end
[Chorus]
Power of the night, streets are callin'
Stealing from the light, shadow's crawlin'
It's the power of the night, streets are callin'
Power of, ah
[Bridge]
Power of the night, streets are callin'
Stealing from the light, shadow's crawlin'
Power of the night, streets are callin'
Power of
[Outro]
Power of the night, streets are callin'
Stealing from the light, shadow's crawlin'
Power of the night, streets are callin'
Stealing from the light, shadow's crawlin'
Power of the night, streets are callin'
Stealing from the light, shadow's crawlin'
Power of the night, streets are callin'
Stealing from the light, shadow's crawlin'
Power of the night, streets are callin'
Stealing from the light, shadow's crawlin'
