what angle is the bench set at?
Looks like about 45 degrees. But it’s going to depend on the style of the bench. Probably a couple notches up from flat.
Does this work the lats as well?
Yes it does. If you want to bias the lats - drive the movement with your elbows and pull the barbell a little lower - more towards your stomach instead of your chest.
@@drehealth and for the upper just pull close to your chest correct?
Yep, the lats will still be involved.. but if you’d like to bias the upper back, rear-dealts and traps a bit.. I like to pull the barbell to the bottom of my chest. 👌🏼

My bar keeps hitting the back of the bench
Mine often does too. No big deal really, in time you get a feel for the depth and you’ll probably just “tap” it from time to time.
