I like how niche you are about dota2, as a fellow dota2 enjoyer.

Hey, thank you for these videos - they've been really helpful!
I just had a few questions:
    1) In your M3 Pro video, DotA 2 seemed to be running at a much lower res (1512 * 982) I believe, while we're running DotA at 1900 * 1200 on the ROG Flow - which I think is inflating the FPS numbers on the M3 Pro.
Therefore, would it be possible for you to test DotA 2 at a higher res on the M3 Pro (preferably something closer to 1900 * 1200) or test DotA 2 on the ROG Flow at a lower res (preferably something close to 1512 * 982) ?
    2) How loud do the fans get on the ROG Flow when gaming?
The reason I ask these question is because I am in the market for a laptop without a dGPU too and I don't want something which sounds like a jet engine when under load. Additionally, I intend to occasionally play DotA 2 but with an external 27" monitor where the lower resolution of mac would make the visuals look really bad/blurry.
    Thanks again!

Resolution just based on the display resolution - so running on the rog flow version with no dgpu that I got at Best Buy maxes out at that resolution.
For the m3 pro despite fps- on screen if you are used to gaming on windows there’s some display lag/ input lag that can also make you irritated if you addicted to dota like me haha - just windows never has that lag …. Still haven’t been able to find that fix. Could also be Bluetooth mouse feels like it’s lagging too.
Both will serve well but if you want best dota experience for what you looking for AMD laptop with iGPU is the way to go since it’ll run cooler and better than an intel laptop

      @@BlendlogicTech Thank you!
Also, just one quick update - what I meant with the M3 Pro resolution is that - mac has this retina scaling implementation where the UI is displayed at half of the screen resolution. Therefore, the game thinks that the display resolution is 1512 * 982 when it is in fact 3024 * 1964. So, the resolution needs to be increased manually instead of using the 'Use my monitor's current resolution' setting - since using this setting on the mac will run the game at 1512 * 982.
So, I wanted to understand how the 18 Core M3 GPU stacks up against the 780M around the same resolution - since the ROG Flow x13 is running dota at a higher resolution (1900 * 1200). I'd expect the M3 Pro's performance to be around the same as the 780M when running DotA 2 at 1900 * 1200 (but this is just an estimate for now).
Also, I am in the same dota addiction boat as you are haha. I am very much leaning towards the windows laptop as well - especially with the other issues you pointed out with the mac (stutters, input lag etc.). I feel like the experience will get much worse on the Mac at higher resolutions and with future updates to dota.

Depending on what you looking for in a laptop - the Flowx13 could play dota and be a 3 pounder and be quiet good for maximizing dota performance.
Besides the other stuff on MacOS - you'll have to set keyboard shorcuts to turn off CMD +Q or CMD+W from closing windows IF you want to use command hotkey for items (which I use ALT +QWEASD) on windows - and CMD takes that spot for muscle memory
