    Perhaps make a dedicated question answering video every so often when you have enough questions to answer.

      I think it's a good idea, but Jang could ask for questions on the Community tab and then answer them all, maybe making a screen recording on bricklink or something for the actual video.

    It's nice with the QA. But i makes good sense to keep them to the Parts Hauls videos, or a dedicated video segment. If you tag them on to a review it would cut the natural flow of the video. That would be a shame.
    Love your videos by the way! Keep up the good work.

      I agree with your warning. I definitely wouldn't do it in a review unless all the way at the very end (still unlikely) or specifically related to the set I'm covering (more likely, still after covering all of the main stuff normally).

    Another +1 for keeping Q&A in your haul videos. The combination of the two ensures viewer interest is kept throughout the video, whether you’re answering a question or showing pieces. Seems like a perfect “connection”. 😉

    My favourite stuff to see of yours is always the mocs and city updates. It's funny that the parts hauls always feel like sneak previews of future updates. Q&A is a good thing to combine with lots of types of vids I expect.

    My minds been ticking since this video and I have soo many questions:
    - how is it best to clean up pre-loved / well loved lego? My kids have very sticky fingers.
    - can you demonstrate so good ways of stacking/sorting and organizing lego (like in your haul the other day). I’m drowning in it. I have drawers like yours but only one set for the mixed up bricks and bits. I’m splitting by base plates, small plates, square or rectangular bricks, other brick shapes, tiles, specials (accessories etc), foliage (I got loads from recent pick a brick rummaging on your suggestion), technic type parts, mini figs, instructions and made up spinners for the boys to grab easily.
    - more of your mini makes in the white room. Like battle toad and your personal challenges on parts packs. I loved those.
    - holiday scenes? Halloween is so close. Are you planning a little layout?
    - what’s next in your city? School? Zoo update? Library? I love your quirky shops like Jabba’s pizza place and your crystal shop. Any others coming?
    - I’m a big lego friends and elves fan. It’s to offset the Ninjago and potter madness taking over my life (3 young boys). How would you integrate the pastel colours into your city?
    I’d love to know your thoughts on any of this. (Over tired mom who needs lego support and inspiration)

    I also ordered the new train wheel from Lego" I haven't received it yet, but looking at my order on their site, I can see that they have the old one listed in my order. I'll wait until I get the package, but I'm pretty sure this is a mistake on their part, not you and I both.

    I spent hours placing a bricks and pieces order only to be signed out every time I got to the checkout..happened a few nights in a row..don’t know if anyone else had that problem but the service is out of operation again here in Australia now, a few weeks after the last time.

    • @JANGBRiCKS
      @JANGBRiCKS  5 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      YES! I've encountered that a couple of times. Major palm-screaming trigger. I don't know what the exact session timeout length is, but I wish there was some warning. I also wish it wouldn't zero out your entire order if you accidentally go "Back" in your web browser rather than sticking to the navigation links in the searching/ordering flow itself. Nowadays I'm very, very careful, while also trying to be somewhat expedient.

    If you ever decided to make a live stream video at some point to answer live questions, that would be very cool! I'm sure a ton of your fans would like to ask you about a lot of stuff, Q&A is certainly a good idea, unless you have little time since you have so many things to do in your Lego city and to review new Lego sets, your time must be precious.

      I checked a few items on the Lego website and compared to the same parts on Bricklink, at most the prices on Bricklink were around 60% lower... So yeah, Bricklink is the place to buy separate parts... Unless you want VIP points! :-D

    Having an occasional Q&A video would be great. I know you don't always have time to answer questions posed to you in the comments section and a Q&A video could be a great to compile some of those questions and address them later. Keep up the great work. It is always appreciated.

  • @benstoever
    @benstoever 5 ปีที่แล้ว

    It always makes sense to compare prices between Bricklink and Bricks and Pieces. Sometimes one is cheaper, sometimes the other. Unfortunately, bricks and pieces is frequently unavailable for several days recently, since "improvements" are made. I'm currently again waiting to make an order for three days already...

  • @Rakhamon
    @Rakhamon 5 ปีที่แล้ว

    I still owe you one for tipping me off about the abundance of plant parts in the Pick-a-Brick Wall. I had the same experience as you did - usually not many useful pieces there. But this was perfect.
    As for B&P vs BL, I understand that in the US at least B&P is rather reasonably priced? In my country B&P is often quite prohibitively expensive compared to waiting and using BL, though it can depend. Also the shipping for us is also quite unpleasant.

  • @edgarleft

  • @theomaddox5309

    I just wanna say, multiple times the bricks and pieces service has got mixed up with the parts on my order and sent the wrong one in place of the one I ordered. This has never happened with Bricklink sellers so I tend to trust Bricks and Pieces a little less.
    Secondly, a benefit of Bricks and Pieces is that you get VIP points from or can use VIP point on the order.
    Thirdly, a trick I've used to make sure I'm using the cheapest of the two is to enter the B&P price under Max price on my Bricklink want list and use it to filter out lots over that price.

    Same setti as the spaghetti... I love you Jang. Almost lets me forgive you for having access to such a great service- I wish Lego would expand it worldwide :'( Though it's interesting to hear that Lego stores are far from in you in such a big US city. Are they close to wealthy suburbs or in the city centre in other countries? Here in Tokyo they're all near where the wealthy people live/work so it's a pain for a normal pleb like me to go there. I buy 99% of my Lego off Amazon because it's the cheapest by far and has next day/scheduled delivery here. (One thing Japan definitely does right!). Oh, and definitely would LOVE A Q&A video!

    You could also just have viewers comment questions on brick link haul videos, and answer them on the next one

    I have found bricks and pieces frustrating as often the piece you look for are sold out. Is there some strategy as to when to look on the site for pieces after a set comes out. It seems to me large sellers buy them out and LEGO doesn't replace the stock after that. Is this assumption correct?
