Here is a thorough explanation from Koslowski: Only the highest DMG increase **buff** through legendary essences counts. the second picture is such a buff (Essence "Blind Focus") There are also debuffs for the target that increase your dmg. They can apply globally to everyone ("taken damage increased"), whereby only the highest debuff (= armor break) counts here. The new essence ("Matter of Mind") is a YOU- dmg increase debuff. It only counts for **you**, but can be stacked with both the highest armor break and your own DMG Increase Buff
A simpler explanation from Kronos, but basically the same with Koslowski: Well the difference is that you can stack this helmet with another damage buff essence You can stack the new helmet with thrumming ferocity
Literally the only monk essence I’m missing now is leaping shadow, which is essential for not only the PvP helicopter meta, but for 3 of 4 of auroth’s latest monk pve builds. And I’m an ocd class switcher who switches as soon as he’s done collecting essences, so I probably won’t get to try any of those builds while they’re still relevant. It’s disappointing that the latest essences are only good for vault and not bg. Helmet is dumb and redundant but the rest of the essences are a nice new build Your shoulders weren’t doing anything in that build cuz you weren’t using imprisoned fist 🤔

They hotfix this helm essence, now it's in the same category with VEDENIN'S STING. As long as the target has palm bleed, it takes increased damage.

collected all but still siding with helicopter build.. I also notice increase number of monk in BG using helicopter.

Yup. The Helicopter meta is still the best. It's funny that almost all Tempest users changed to Monk after the nerf 🤣

It looks oookay, but nothing can beat Tempest Rush build atm. My opinion 👍💪
