B2K Talk Conflict Resolution & Lack of R&B Groups Today

- After spending years apart, the men of B2K have reunited for the 2019 Millennium Tour. In an exclusive interview with EBONY, the group shares how they handle conflict with one another differently than they did as teens. The crew also discusses why they feel there are so few music groups today compared to the 1990s and early 2000s, with Boog believing the financial restructuring of record labels plays a major factor.
“The industry has changed their methods. Paying four guys in this day and age…there just [isn’t] enough money. The deals change, they became smaller. If you know what a 360 deal is, it’s really not a lot of money, so you don’t have a lot of time to develop. Groups like this need artist development.
Fizz added that the lack of camaraderie among artists today plays a part as well.
“Everybody’s on social media and wants to be like, ‘look at MY followers! Look how much I’ve got,’ versus coming together and being like, ‘Yo, let’s do something dope.’”

Even when RazB said personal things and specifically came after Omarion the only thing Omarion said was he is Bipolar and he moving forward and forgives him. To see Omarion now still sticking by him. When RazB first said he was discontinuing the tour he said "if my brother Omarion wants me to continue I will." He only mentioned Omarion. JBoog openly shows his disdain for RazB in public but he is also Marquis Houston cousin. Fizz just don't even get close to him at all. They need to talk to New Edition.

I feel it even when he performs. He’s usually the best one up on stages. Omarion really would rather be solo because he feels like everyone else’s is stagnant as far as creativity and elevation. Lil fizz is just there for the money ... and Boog is trying to get something popping outside of this group thing because he knows this probably won’t last that long. He’s somewhat trying to get a spectacular (pretty Ricky member) moment out of this opportunity by generating another form of income...

I enjoyed the millennium tour last night March 21st 2019 I love b2k always and forever. I screamed so loud I lost my voice. I went to the indy show.

They never addressed anything pertaining to Chris Stokes and I am sure someone will uncover he has something to do with this tour and them reuniting. We even saw when they forced Raz to lie and say he wasn't molested after revealing what happened to him & others. I don't think he has healed, but buried cause he sees what he's up against.
They need to heal their relationship with Raz his honestly like the sibling that gets bullied the most and labeled problematic but he takes it everytime. The owe him an apology for how he was treated wen the molestation allegations came out. Till then their chemistry will always be off.

I am planning on going to see b2k in vegas on May 26 and get that vip package to meet greet , take photos and party all night im a 1990 baby but i also grew up in the 2000s and b2k was one of my favorite groups i met Omarion 3x and the other fellas over the phone in 2016 so im looking forward to go to my first b2k tour and i've been a fan since the first album 2002.

The 60's babies brought us Rap. 1968 was big birth year for this group LL Cool J and Will Smith. Jay Z 1969. 1958 gave us 1980s Dance Pop. Madonna, Michael Jackson and Prince.
I think today's RnB is mostly full of shallow lyrics and lack of pure passion;people be tryna act they feelin' but they don't.
90s rnb was just that. So it's more of the marketing aspect. Lots of artist are disposable

Even this group as we speak are sitting and lying about the molestation that occurred to them as teens in the groups at the hands of Christ Stokes and Marques Houston. Raz is open about it he want to heal and get Justice. The rest won't be honest because they are afraid of look less than a man to speak openly about their molestation also it's speaking against their family members that are also powerful within the music industry.
They should do an album together after the tour. Putting in so much efforts in interviews, they can just might as well do a new album. Look at the Backstreet Boys. B2K can do this if they wanted to. But they need to keep communication going and being honest to themselves. I love the answers about the state of R&B and the lyric game in the industry is not the same anymore. After watching Love and Hip Hop Hollywood and Marriage Bootcamp Hip Hop edition tv show, I think Fizz is best being as an musician because he is more focused and he communicates the strongest in that area. Relationships just seemed to be a problem and it is ruining his image. All the men are now fathers except for Raz B, and when they spoke about fatherhood it is inspiring. I also think that B2K need to come to terms about the sexual abuse that was going on in Raz B past life and have some sort of closure. Look at what the other white bands did, they all came together and spoke about their manager Lou Pearlman and there is even a documentary coming out next week (April 1 I think). These stuff brings the group together and it lets fans know this wasn't right but they're stronger now than ever. Fans would respect them even more. But if they're just sweeping this under the rug and expect fans to count on B2K be stronger, it may not last because I still think the group need a lot of work to do. Even their energies are off in this interview. New Edition is the only longest black boyband group that held it together for a long time; but they kept the communication going and they were supportive. B2K isn't there yet. Glad they're back but something is off.
