I TOTALLY relate to your reason for moving although it wasn't necessarily "practical" My husband & I moved about 2 yrs ago to a 12 acre wooded property with a smaller home,no garage or basement AND an HOUR away from our jobs. We lived at our previous house (first house we bought) for 24 yrs....so it was a HARD move. I'm not usually a sentimental person; but as we finished loading the last items into the truck and I "mopped myself" out the door, I said out loud, "Goodbye little house" and totally surprised myself by getting overwhelmed with emotion. We had raised our 2 daughters there, done SO MUCH work/home improvements (major projects, including a full addition, all by ourselves/nothing hired out)....literal blood, sweat, and tears! AND we had paid down most of our mortgage....but we longed to be in a rural, wooded setting. We found the ideal property, ended up getting it and now have started over on a mortgage, have a property that needed alot of clean up/work, and have a 2 hour commute each day (luckily we work at the same company and drive together) BUT it has been so worth it to live in the woods and within walking distance to 5 different lakes. We have whitetails in our yard every day and see all other kinds of wildlife regularly. Being surrounded by gorgeous giant oak, walnut & white pine trees is so inspirational and nourishing to my creative spirit....I 100% understand why you wanted a home closer to nature. Thanks for sharing your journey..it's been inspiring to me as I try to finally pursue my own creative business goals (at a much later stage in life!)
Having moved a lot in my lifetime I can relate to this video. Wishing you, Nick and all your furry little friends all the best in your new space. May it bring you everything that you are expecting and more. 🎉

Lovely new space! That double aspect and 4windows4!! did I count them right? I have just arranged my studio space in my living room and it has helped me so much in my productivity (website is practically finished) and creating new patterns almost every day.. Even more than four windows! I wanna say in the whole living room/kitchen area there are eight?! It’s a glorious amount of natural light!! Also, wow, I’m so inspired by your productivity! New patterns almost every day! That’s so amazing!! You’re crushing it 🙌🏼 Also, yes! My birthday is at the end of the Cancer window (mid July), so I still have a little bit of time, but it’s coming up!
I can’t believe you put your poor cat in the carrier *with* a cone. How miserably claustrophobic. And putting 2 cats in one carrier?? I felt so sorry for all of them.🤦🏼♀️🤦🏼♀️
Pumpkin (with the cone) has been dealing with some skin issues and she needs the cone to prevent scratching and opening up her scabs. She’s also teeny tiny and had room to turn around, even with the cone. Hazel (the grey one) is a very anxious cat and does much better in the car when she’s with her mom (the one-eyed cat). We were only in the car for ~40 min. My partner is a vet tech, and all of our cats are foster fails who we’ve been taking care of for their entire lives. I assure you, they are absurdly pampered. Sincerely, a non-meat eater who just got done hand feeding them home cooked Cornish hen that I made just for them 🤷🏻♀️. They’re in good hands, I promise!
i JUST found your channel today and have been binge watching a bit. I just wanted to share with you that my impractical big change decision I made recently was moving halfway across the country from my hometown with no friends or family to a whole new state. it hasn’t always been easy but nonetheless it was something i needed and am forever grateful for and willing to experience. it surprised me how similar it is where we are in life. i’m in the process of transitioning out of my 9-5 into full time entrepreneurship and you’ve already helped me with tips and tools on how to take all the ideas out of my head and put them down into reality so that i can actually make changes. so thank you so much ☺️ no matter how small of a move, i wish you the best and can’t wait to see how much more you grow 🤍
