When Batman permanently locked away Joker in his mind and when he said I need you was the saddest part of the whole game in my opinion. Joker was really afraid of being forgotten by Gotham. While Batman can suppress the thought of Joker, he’ll never truly forget.
7:40 dialogues like this one justifies this efort as the best Hamill performance imo. It's Joker on his finest, not simply a clown, an anarchist, a comedian, etc.. It's the darkness of the character, this is a really evil line. Joker is evil, a devil basically, not someone to be "liked". The anarchist persona of Ledger makes the character more acceptable, the clown of the animated series also makes the character more friendly and etc.. But the real Joker is the one represented in this game. He blows the roof of a kindergarden, he kills people who get involved in his game with Batman, he tortures, he makes experiments, etc.. He is 200% pure evil. Dark humor is just perfect for this character and the voice is the icing on the cake.

Batman has no reason to feel guilty about The Joker's death whatsoever but people keep insinuating that it's all his fault.
Whether or not Joker is lying is up to debate, but all evidence seems to point to Batman WAS going to let Joker die in Arkham City, Joker says some time in the theater that now that he’s in Bruce’s head, he knows now that Bruce was going to let him die. This might just be Joker manipulating Bruce, but it’s all up to debate.
