he was ok ... but not the best as a bass player my self I wouldn't rank him in the top 100 bass player not even on the top 1000 bass player or top 5000 bass player. one thing he has was the sound a very good sound maybe the sound effects they used they all used special sound effects
Saw Steel Pulse in manchester about 15 years ago. One of all time favourite gigs. Even the big security guys ended up skanking and havinf a laugh with us. Brilluiant night.
these guys have an amazing work ethic! they work hard at their music and it totally pays off. I appreciate it so much. so entertaing and pleasurable to listen to. Thank you guys for being so great! 💜 I love you!! 🎵🎶🎵🎶🎵
They are a 1st rate band regardless of genre. This arrangement was very nuanced. No way it could be played purely on instinct, timing and ear they guys worked their as off and rehearsed!!!
I first heard of Steel Pulse, when I was a teen ager. My friend rented the Best of Reggae Sunsplash, on VHS, I new about Bob, and a bit others. But after seeing that introduced me to other reggae musicians. I have been hooked ever since, like Peter says, I have reggae myelitis. Also play the drums, Congo's, and write lyrics. It's a dream of mine to become a reggae musician. I'm 36, I'm getting old I hope it happens soon. I have a phone book thick of song's. I hope you guys come back to Minnesota soon. I have seen you guys 3, times, you all always rock the house. Keep up the good work, Jah bless.
i cant believe i was here but not here i sho nuff wish i was born other than kkk i feel our youth was nowhere as advanced as u were yes freedom years earlier it shows unfortunately we globally are still so stifled thank God for Steele Pulse front row and center im so in love you are my gift for this time in my life David cause of u I still can love a man no not bitter just smart
only discovered these guys a year or so ago my mate from St Kitts played me them True Democracy album he owns a nice Caribbean cafe we listen to these guys and i sit enjoy eating my Jerk chicken wrap :P
I agree 100%. I have about 10 Reggae CDs. I wish I never bought them because the live concert videos on youtube sound much better, and are free. The studio recorded albums/tracks are too polished/fake sounding. This live stuff is awesome, it is all heart and soul, and sounds bad ass. I was never into Ziggy Marley until I went to his concert. I went there because Steel Pulse opened for Ziggy. That live Ziggy show was damn good stuff. I'm now a bigtime fan of Ziggy Marley. Karen G., I totally agree with you on that live Reggae music.

I prefer the ferocity of the album version. This is more laid back and it's nice, too.

+James Hallowitz It would be more appropriate to listen to them while having some crumpets and tea. They are English.
Reggae bands always sound better live.
