    My favorite is 'Truth : Shall set you free' by Aman Jain. I read it recently and his philosophical ideas and introspection of the complex phenomenon of life is marvellous, and present an untraditional way of viewing the world. It is the most thought provoking book in my opinion.

    I am currently reading meditation by Marcus I am not reading plato because I asked GPT to act like him my concept became more clear like when he said we see circles around us in our mind we have a perfect circle that perfect circle comes from ideal world it helped me clear a lot of concepts about theory of ideal world theory of forms but I don't think it lasts last today The other things definitely do. I was able to point out the mistakes in the theory of forms.
    I would ask people to debate chat GPT or use it to improve your concepts it's fun it's engaging and it definitely adds something new to your arsenal.

    Plato is the founding father of western* philosophy :) As you said East has had these complex philosophies for a much much longer time: Bhagwad Gita, Buddhism, Taoism, Confucianism. Also, Taoism is Chinese not Japanese. Japan had(and still do) Shintoism before Buddhism was introduced. Great videos btw. :)

    Reading philosophy better than self help books

  • @user-mk1ie7zy7u
    @user-mk1ie7zy7u 10 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

    These books are not at all for beginners. Moreover philosophical understanding comes up with context. To understand existentialism one needs to know essentialism then it'll be easy to grasp things like nihilism and absurdism and so on. Practically these books are for people studying academic philosophy. These books are with heavy terminologies and a novice would definitely loose interest in it. Rather you can suggest books like Sophie's world, history of philosophy or simply introduction to philosophy books. And western philosophy is derivative of eastern philosophy? Really? This comment is not at all right. Western philosophy is more diverse than indian . Indian philosophy is more about speculative metaphysics (except Carvaka nyaya) but western is more diverse and Academic.

Secondly western philosophy is not only about plato, stoics and existentialism. Pre Socratic, socratic, aristotlean, Cartesian, Hegelian, Marxian, Husserl's phenomenology, structuralism, Frankfurt school, post structuralism. Where?
