@@TheKarateShrimp wow, Sensei, I also feared you would stop making content for us. Happy that you are courageous, sincere, strong and humble. Wish you all the best, looking forward for the new content.
Self-reflection is something that is good for the soul. You're a very insightful person and have a wonderful ability to be self-deprecating and humorous. Good luck in your new concentration on your video projects.
You've helped us adults who've returned to or started martial arts. It can have you second guessing as you tend to be so awkward and you sharing your journey helps us realize it is worth it. It is achievable and to not let intimidation stand in the way.
I enjoyed the heck out of the glimpse I had into your journey when I first discovered your channel a year back- I wish you all the best in the next chapters! 🎉💪
You know what is funny? That you are on brand with this message. Like you are always so vocal about following that path even if it is scary and walk away from the things that do not bring you joy. So NONE of this is a surprise. What I think is interesting is all the things that you have picked up along the way make you inherently more marketable. Like you could say you are a multimedia coordinator and I have no doubt that you could find work in your local town. Did you mean to do this? No. But in the course of following your passion you never know the things that you can pick up along the way.
All hail the algorithm! It brought me to you - and though you're stopping podcasts, I will now be checking out your videos. 🙂 This is my first exposure to you, so I'm looking forward to it! I'm a guy in my late 40s, I started Kung Fu in 2016 for my 40th birthday as a gift to myself, after a 20+ year hiatus from martial arts. I love it and wouldn't ever go back - I applaud you for taking that big first step! Looking forward to watching more of your stuff. (Edit: details)
@@TheKarateShrimp thank you! I got promoted to black belt in 2022, it is definitely great. Sparring is tough for sure, we don't use pads or anything and I definitely don't rebound the way I did in my twenties. 😂
Hey, I'm not going to reconsider quitting my own podcast. As for being a guest on other podcasts, I'm holding off for the time being while I focus on this channel. Thanks for watching!
Whew so thankful this wasn't about your OnlyFans 😂. Hey I get it passions change i am just thankful you are still going to be around, I have come to look forward to your videos you make me laugh, and I love to laugh. Hey lass be true to you, love ya keep moving forward
hi- question so i have been competing in Muay Thai and BJJ for a couple years now, and also help teach the kids class but ive been feeling very tired and bored with it… is this burn out?
It could be, or could be the start of it. Do you feel the same with other things in your life? When I went through burnout last year I lost interest in everything, not just filming or training. As soon as I decided to take a break, I immediately felt better. The pressure was off. Is that something you could do, take a small break and see how you feel?

@TheKarateShrimp you rock in a totally Rick Ashley way🤣
You definitely have to focus. I pulled my own podcast down and stopped some other projects after deciding to focus on YT and my books.
So important to focus. Good for you!
