  • Howdy folks! Thanks for stopping by our channel today as we unload fertilizer for our hay fields and discuss small-scale hay operations and the small family farm's important role in premium hay production. Too many bales of trashy, junk hay out there to spend your hard-earned money on, so do your research, seek out the best quality hay you can find for your animals to eat! That premium-quality, local hay will often come from a small family farm, small-scale hay operation. Those folks are often the passionate ones about the products they produce and what comes off their farms.
Thanks for watching and we pray God blesses you and your family!

People are the same all over, I see folks wrapping hay that should be mowed.
It cannot be overstated that you need to be in your field on a weekly basis to produce a great product. Equipment is one ingredient to producing a well-rounded product, you never buy T-bone steak off a street vender. I am headed to the tractor this morning to fix a rough patch and remove some more rocks.
I think true quality is throughout the process from planting, cultivating, care, and harvest. Good equipment, supplies, and attitude.
    Another excellent video bud.

Thanks, Tom. The work you guys put in on your farm is inspiring to me.
There are indeed some very good hay producers out there, then there seems to be more that just dont seem to care very much, hay is hay to them.
      Thanks a bundle!

I remember when Michael Bloomberg was running for President and said, “What’s so hard about farming? You plant a seed and it grows.” He may be rich but he was an idiot, lol. A good farmer is one of the smartest people around and you prove it. If you want a quality product there is so much to consider. I don’t sell or buy hay, but I always like to learn how things work. Just got through talking to a retired dairy farmer who delivered a cattle gate to me. I could have listened to him for hours.
Thank you for watching last night. I couldn’t watch the chat and talk at the same time, but I saw your name at the end and I appreciate your support so much.

Do you think the hydraulic arm/boom from the ditch Finnish mower can be converter to work on the mini round bailers like you have??

I’m not real sure what you’re asking. Do you mean to use on the baler like a drawbar conversion?

@@8thdaychronicles yes, so you can move the bailer to pick up beside the tractor

@@RobWright-1969 I would assume youd have to have a pretty heavy tractor (tractor weight) to offset the 1000 pound weight of the baler, and then do some fabricating to strengthen connection points and such. I'm sure with some engineering and fabricating it could be done. I personally think if I wanted an offset baler I'd just look into the articulating drawbar system Redlands makes, It will offset the baler if I'm not mistaken. Quite expensive (around $2200 but eliminates all the fabrication and such.
      Good luck!

On our main hay fields we usually get 2 but with our improvements I’m hoping to be up to at least 3 this year. Thanks for the kind words!
