For those who like information about Dimas' songs: Sinful Passion - The story behind this song is very interesting: The band that accompanies Dimash is the same one that composed the song, without the singer who died after a heart attack! The band is also from Kazakhstan and this performance by Dimash revitalized the song. In addition, the final part he added, with an oriental technique. So glad you have been introduced to DQ. The original song was written and performed by A-Studio (Russian/Kazakh), who's pianist resides at the keyboards behind Dimash in this video. Another grand composer, Igor Krutoy, can be seen standing @6:20 in the white shirt. This man has composed more than a few songs specifically for Dimash, including: Ogni Pietra (Olimpico) This piece highlights his operatic prowess. One of his few studio recorded videos is IKANAIDE. This flawless performance is sheer ecstasy for the ears. While the pop tunes don't seem to showcase the variety of his vocal talents, it is what he enjoys. (He's a big Michael Jackson fan) I only found him by accident on my feed back in November and I have been in awe ever since. Dimash brings people from every genre of music together
Dimash has an 7.7 octave range (G0-D8) I believe, and he can move seamlessly throughout all of these ranges & can sing in any genre (so yes, higher than Mariah 😂) He also says he can sing higher but it’s about the music & not hitting the highest notes. The guy in the white shirt at the end of the performance giving Dimash standing ovations is a well known composer in Russia. After Igor Krutoy heard this performance he came out of retirement to work with Dimash! 😍 And in my opinion they do magic together! The previous list is good but I would also recommend Ave Maria (a vocalised version), Stranger, he also did Queen's The Show Must Go On, Daybreak (based on a true story of a cable car crash in China. This was written by Han Hong who adopted a 2 1/2 year old who was the only survivor. She wrote the song based on his point of view).

Hi!🙂 Thanks for reaction. I have to say that I hate that glitch in the climax of the runs, but since is on Dimash’s account ...🤷♀️. Not sure who’s video is it, since Russian TV had video without that glitch. Anyhow what I know is that the song is from A-Studio group, known in ex-Soviet countries, that accompanied Dimash at the performance. The singer of the group was also Kazakh, and he passed away not so long before, so this was kind of tribute. Of course, Dimash gave the song his own mark.

Though he continuously tries to improve, many would agree that he has in many ways 'perfected' the art of singing and we are blessed to be able to experience his immense skill. This was his 2018 guest performance at the New Wave competition held annually since 2002 at the New Wave Hall in Sochi Olympic Park.The band A-Studio is originally from Kazakhstan. The keyboard player, Baigali Serkebaev, composed the song together with the poet Ilia Reznik, and the song was first performed in 1998. The singer of the group A-Studio passed away in 2015, and in this concert, the group was backing up guest vocalists. The triangle man is multi-percussionist Ilya Pokrovsky, a very talented man and a close friend of Dimash and member of the Dimash team (DQ Team). He plays various percussion instruments and accompanies Dimash in all his concerts. Someone explained that the special tribal riff is something practiced in Kazakhstan, Mongolia, and other parts of Asia. A similar technique is also used in some parts of the Middle East. It is referred to by some as a "glottal stop". We use it too when we say "uh oh". A Kazakh TH-camr commented that Dimash used a Kazakh singing technique, called 'komeymen aytu'. You can hear it among the Turan Group. Sakha people use this technique too; they call it 'kylyhah'. I read somewhere that the tribal vocalization was a tribute to the deceased singer, as it is similar to a technique usually used by women in Kazakh funeral ceremonies. The final run is 21.73 seconds on one breath. This competition was organized by the man in the white shirt who stood up in the first row, Billionaire Igor Krutoy, a famous Ukrainian and Russian music composer, performer, producer, and musical promoter. Maybe if you heard him sing something you already know you might appreciate his range, technique, and style look for "Show Must Go On" or "Hello". for a more heavy metal feel his song "Across Endless Dimensions" or his EPIC original piece "The Story of One Sky" should satisfy even though neither are metal songs, they just have parts of them where he uses some metal singing styles in them.

Yes most Soprano's would kill for a voice like this, but as you've observed; his Bari / even touching into Bass, is full and rich and solid as well. Dimash competes only with himself in 'continuous improvement', now aged 28 his voice is still maturing. Enjoy. Dimash sings pop too. My favorite is "Screaming Idols Hits" version. It is a TV Show program, he had freedom to create, in this one he incorporated diferent styles of music/arrangements. It seems like a "regular song" but musically speaking is a very intricate music. Hug from Brazil.
U kinda overlooked the fact that Dimash took a breath just before the third belt near the end. He then continues into a set of runs lasting 24+ seconds on that one breath. Yeah...he swims daily and dives to help expand his lung capacity. Just ur typical singer, right? He switched throughout the song combining operatic then contemporary phrasing. Oh well, yeah just a ballad I guess. Try his 2017 performance of opera 2. It will be the only one you will find as the original singer, a Russian by the name of Vitas, kindly asked Dimash not to perform it anymore as Dimash took his original version and went 2.steps higher with it. Apparently Vitas didn't appreciate Dimash crushing his signature song. Dimash, being the guy he is, honored his request. Oh well. Stranger, Ave Maria, Love is Like A Dream may not impress u either. Just stick with Freddie Mercury. He had a 2-4 octave depending on who u ask. Dimash's highest sustained note is a D8...one note higher than a piano. The thing is...if u continue exploring Dimash...please try to learn to appreciate every note. He isn't a one trick pony. Hate reactors that drool waiting for him to hit a high one. That's not what singing should be about. My fav song by Dimash doesnt contain close to his highest or lowest. Good luck to u...I will view another b4 reconsidering my sub. Dimash likes rock and pop and I expect him to pop a rock song out. He's a Freddie Mercury fan and Michael Jackson fan . In order to grasp his flexibility one would need to listen to his different songs. I really like gos Kazakh music . Kieli Mekin and Durduraz can provide insight into his " rock" side . The guitars and percussion are really dominant. If you continue your Dimash trw.d I think you'll also see that there's more here than skill . He's a " movement". You'll also see him tip his hat multiple times to MJ in his concerts.

Sinful Passion - The story behind this song is very interesting: The band that accompanies Dimash is the same one that composed the song, without the singer who died after a heart attack! The band is also from Kazakhstan and this performance by Dimash revitalized the song. In addition, the final part he added, with an oriental technique. The song was originally performed in 1998 and the band's name is A'Studio (Russian-based Kazakhstani pop music group, "Alma-Ata Studio", city of Almaty). Another grand composer, Igor Krutoy, can be seen standing @6:20 in the white shirt. This man has composed more than a few songs specifically for Dimash, including: Ogni Pietra (Olimpico) This piece highlights his operatic prowess.
One of his few studio recorded videos is IKANAIDE. This flawless performance is sheer ecstasy for the ears.
While the pop tunes don't seem to showcase the variety of his vocal talents, it is what he enjoys. (He's a big Michael Jackson fan)
I only found him by accident on my feed back in November and I have been in awe ever since.

Hi!🙂 Thanks for reaction. I have to say that I hate that glitch in the climax of the runs, but since is on Dimash’s account ...🤷♀️. Not sure who’s video is it, since Russian TV had video without that glitch. Anyhow what I know is that the song is from A-Studio group, known in ex-Soviet countries, that accompanied Dimash at the performance. The singer of the group was also Kazakh, and he passed away not so long before, so this was kind of tribute. Of course, Dimash gave the song his own mark.
And something more - Dimash was not really known in Russia yet back then.

Though he continuously tries to improve, many would agree that he has in many ways 'perfected' the art of singing and we are blessed to be able to experience his immense skill. This was another very enjoyable reaction. This was his 2018 guest performance at the New Wave competition held annually since 2002 at the New Wave Hall in Sochi Olympic Park.The band A-Studio is originally from Kazakhstan. The keyboard player, Baigali Serkebaev, composed the song together with the poet Ilia Reznik, and the song was first performed in 1998. The singer of the group A-Studio passed away in 2015, and in this concert, the group was backing up guest vocalists. The triangle man is multi-percussionist Ilya Pokrovsky, a very talented man and a close friend of Dimash and member of the Dimash team (DQ Team). He plays various percussion instruments and accompanies Dimash in all his concerts.
Someone explained that the special tribal riff is something practiced in Kazakhstan, Mongolia, and other parts of Asia. A similar technique is also used in some parts of the Middle East. It is referred to by some as a "glottal stop". We use it too when we say "uh oh". A Kazakh TH-camr commented that Dimash used a Kazakh singing technique, called 'komeymen aytu'. You can hear it among the Turan Group. Sakha people use this technique too; they call it 'kylyhah'. I read somewhere that the tribal vocalization was a tribute to the deceased singer, as it is similar to a technique usually used by women in Kazakh funeral ceremonies. The final run is 21.73 seconds on one breath.
This competition was organized by the man in the white shirt who stood up in the first row, Billionaire Igor Krutoy, a famous Ukrainian and Russian music composer, performer, producer, and musical promoter. He invited Dimash to perform and it was this performance that prompted him to come out of retirement and compose masterpieces for Dimash to sing, such as I Miss You, Ogni Pietra, Your Love, Stranger, and Ave Maria, just to name a few. Since this concert, he has been collaborating with Dimash, writing music with his vocal range in mind, and often accompanying him on the piano. So you'll see more of him.
There is another performance of this song of one of his more recent concerts. It is as good or better because you can hear certain parts clearer and the camera stays on him most of the time. Maybe if you heard him sing something you already know you might appreciate his range, technique, and style look for "Show Must Go On" or "Hello". for a more heavy metal feel his song "Across Endless Dimensions" or his EPIC original piece "The Story of One Sky" should satisfy even though neither are metal songs, they just have parts of them where he uses some metal singing styles in them.

Yes most Soprano's would kill for a voice like this, but as you've observed; his Bari / even touching into Bass, is full and rich and solid as well. Dimash competes only with himself in 'continuous improvement', now aged 28 his voice is still maturing. Enjoy.

Dimash sings pop too. My favorite is "Screaming Idols Hits" version. It is a TV Show program, he had freedom to create, in this one he incorporated diferent styles of music/arrangements. It seems like a "regular song" but musically speaking is a very intricate music. Hug from Brazil.

U kinda overlooked the fact that Dimash took a breath just before the third belt near the end. He then continues into a set of runs lasting 24+ seconds on that one breath. Yeah...he swims daily and dives to help expand his lung capacity. Just ur typical singer, right? He switched throughout the song combining operatic then contemporary phrasing. Oh well, yeah just a ballad I guess. Try his 2017 performance of opera 2. It will be the only one you will find as the original singer, a Russian by the name of Vitas, kindly asked Dimash not to perform it anymore as Dimash took his original version and went 2.steps higher with it. Apparently Vitas didn't appreciate Dimash crushing his signature song. Dimash, being the guy he is, honored his request. Oh well. Stranger, Ave Maria, Love is Like A Dream may not impress u either. Just stick with Freddie Mercury. He had a 2-4 octave depending on who u ask. Dimash's highest sustained note is a D8...one note higher than a piano. The thing is...if u continue exploring Dimash...please try to learn to appreciate every note. He isn't a one trick pony. Hate reactors that drool waiting for him to hit a high one. That's not what singing should be about. My fav song by Dimash doesnt contain close to his highest or lowest. Good luck to u...I will view another b4 reconsidering my sub. Dimash likes rock and pop and I expect him to pop a rock song out. He's a Freddie Mercury fan and Michael Jackson fan . In order to grasp his flexibility one would need to listen to his different songs. I really like gos Kazakh music . Kieli Mekin and Durduraz can provide insight into his " rock" side . The guitars and percussion are really dominant. If you continue your Dimash trw.d I think you'll also see that there's more here than skill . He's a " movement". You'll also see him tip his hat multiple times to MJ in his concerts.
