Thought it was incredible myself. Lots of people wanting Gods/Goddesses and monsters but that would have killed it for me. Beautiful movie. Ralph was so good
It's not a movie; it's a small play in a small house where you never see more then 8 people on the screen the whole time. If you hear some compare it to Troy, its not. In ANY sense of the word. This is more like a "lifetime special" on the Hallmark channel, or a PBS special ono English drama, small production, small sets, probably shot for $100k in a few weeks. I love Finnes, always have since Schindler's list where he was magnificent. And in this one he does the best he can with what he is given but its not enough to save it, he tried hard and trained long enough and dieted long enough to get ripped and buffed. Which is more than I can say for the actress, I don't think she took the role seriously not did she prepare for it, she sports about 300 lbs. and although they try to cover her with a dark tent you still see the elephant behind it. For god's sake woman THIS IS WHAT YOU DO FOR A LIVING, this is YOUR JOB. Get a trainer and a dietician and take a whole year if you need to but prepare for this movie slowly and progressively but do it so you look at least normal. All in all a wasted opportunity, Kirk Douglas version was 100 times better in just about every way even the music score. Sad, we are slipping backwards instead of forward in movie making. Will have to watch the Douglas film next just to get the taste out of my mouth of this bad one.

@Patrick33456 Glad I am not the only one! Glad you enjoyed it as well!
Ray-ff Fines.
@alobo9937 Look, I suck at saying his name lol.
You don’t know how historical it is? Well, it has giant cyclopses, sorcerers, and wizards…
@MattDawson-x1m Did we watch the same movie lol.
@ apparently not. The 90s tv edition is on TH-cam in two parts!
Yeah, I thought that the Return may be better than the Conclave. There's also stronger roles for women in the Return.
@@Prodigious1One I would watch The Return over Conclave.
