📍In this episode we travel to Tasmania, where the Pacific and Indian Oceans meet, in the “Roaring Forties”… south of Australia. First, we meet Richard Bennet lives on Bruny, a little island off Hobart. On this slip of land, this photographer has found the light, colors and the seascapes that never cease to delight him. Then we meet Steve. He likes to explore the forest on the lookout for Huon Pine trees .They are one of the oldest forms of life on our planet. Steve is one of the rare people able to recognize them in the forest. Liam and James are two brothers wild about surfing and deserted beaches… Their passion leads them into the heart of the bush. Tasmania is their playground.
As much as we think we are experienced in our field and hobbies, quite easily, things can go fatally wrong. Richard, no-one is invisible. Please wear a life jacket mate while fishing in you dingy. Not only is it the law for a vessel under 6mtrs to wear a life jacket in tassie, but fishing alone with a graball fishing net tangled around your feet is absolutely crazy and irresponsible. Because if you go overboard, people/ rescuers will endanger their own lives looking for you. Bruny is a majestic place. Take care.
Shhhh the less people know the better. I’m taswejian too and over the years more and more people have flogged areas thanks to social media. The less they know the better Tassie will be
