Dear Gary, as a newcomer i would like to say youre videos are so helpful to me. As an austrian with limited english you are so easy and nice to listen. Thank you so much!
I'm completely new to metal detecting and therefore I'm also obviously new to owning a metal detector of any kind. I purchased the XP DEUS and your videos have helped me immensely in beginning to understand it. Always looking forward to more of your vids. Cheers from Denver Colorado USA!
I loaded this evo program up a couple weeks ago and i can say wow it works! I found an old Hayden w. Wheeler and co. circa 1850-1920 13.2gram 14kt gold Wedding band and a 1773 Colonial Spanish 1/2 Real on the same day on the east coast of usa! On my families early 1700s property. Thanks so much for your help good sir! :)
thanks for loading the EVO program on my Deus at PTG NY. will have to give it a good tryout next time out. i really like the sonar program you loaded for me . Great video ! it was great to meet & talk to you at PTG !
Thanks Gary, as a new user your video's are Gold mate! I'm saving them all to refer to, trying to learn this incredible machine, LOVE your channel, cheers mate.
Your Videos & the skill school are very helpfull specially for beginners like me. I like also the way you explain everything! Thank you very much for all your help!
Been out for 3hrs using the EVO program, 6 coins I of which 1 is silver ( second dig) 8 buttons a toy car and a few bits of lead. I liked it a lot. Thanks for sharing.
Hi again Gary. I’ve used the Evo programme on both Thames foreshore and fields just for comparison with my new HF elliptical coil. I would say that it worked better on the Thames than in the field. I will keep the elliptical just for the Thames and the 9” when I’m detecting in fields. I’ll let you know how I get on on the Thames. Thanks for your help.
Thanks Gary, I always enjoy your skill school videos! I am a full tones stalwart, because I love hearing every audio nuance while swinging over a target. I wish the new HF coils when using >18khz frequencies presented VDI numbers conforming to the system option "ID NORM". When I swing over a nickel in 18khz I want it to show the same VDI number as in 80khz (if "ID NORM" is enabled). The only other complaints I have with the Deus are waterproofing, and the controller box (that costs $800) should have had a bigger screen (or provide me a method to display it on my phone). Any idea if the "Go Detect" or "Go Terrain" Android app will ever be released to the public (or its replacement)? Thanks again!
I'm new to the deus so I'm still learning. I went out on a dig today and the targets was very deep ( Pasture) and I was struggling to hit them. (White HF Coil) could you give me a program for deep targets. Thank you 👍
I have been using my XP-Deus since June 2020 so am very new to this fine metal detector. I have installed the EVO Program and will give it a try when I am able to get out next. If I may ask a favor of you. Can you do a video that not only tells us users how to install a new program but can you also 'SHOW; us step by step, and not speed through the process. Us older TH'ers, I for one, have to see how to set up a program and save it as well. I tried to do your GM program but not being able to see how you did it step by step what I installed was not usable to me. I don't mean to criticise but it would be easier to follow what and how if we can see everything. I thank you! Wishing you and yours a ver Merry Christmas and a Happy and safe New Year! ;-)
Hi Gary, just not long got my Deus and going through your videos is very useful, thanks. Could I use the Evo with pitch tones instead of two tones? Thanks.
Simple program, to dig or not to dig, I prefer more tones, so I know if I have a pulltab mid tone or a high tone bottle cap Ive decided to get a deus one before the new year, and then start saving for the HF coil by the time the snow is melting
Hi Gary, I just watched this interesting program the EVO. I am wondering how it will work in Highly Mineralized Soil in Virginia. I am definitely going to try it out. At the sites I hunt in Virginia, they are loaded with Square nails. Hopefully, this program will be of some help.
gardansolyn , I will for sure, in the meantime I’m going to use it here in Ohio where there is a lot of iron and see how it works. Got another question for you Gary, is it wise to update my Deus everytime a new update comes out? I would keep it up to date, but before I do an update I have to copy all my installed settings I have made. Too bad Deus doesn’t make a program that keeps all your settings before and after each update!
@@The-skillschool thanks for the reply. I dont have a remote. I was thinking of using the ws5 as headgear and ws4 as the remote. Is that a thing. Just for the numbers so I dont dig coke really
hi Gary, i notice alot that your finds are very high and not deep. is this programme good for deep? i usually use the first pre loaded programme. just wondering what the comparison would be? thx, And. Loving your vids by the way👍
Hi Gary, great video as usual. Just something completely off the subject. I have been treating my self to the box set of the Detectorists, and I noticed one of the 'Dirt Dogs' namely Gavin was played by someone called Dan Blackwell who sounded and looked a little like you, is he your son?
Watch all your Deus settings Gary will try the EVO on a new field should tell me quite fast the arear where the good targets are and then use the deep program to dig up the quieter deeper signals will send feed back later. .
Hi Peter Iron rejection should be excellent as it used GMP as a platform. Are you using aftermarket headphones as I know they can make Iron identification difficult in the XP
I purchased my first Deus about three months ago. Your videos are my go to resource for all things Deus. Thanks!
Thanks Donnie
I'm glad you are having a good time with the Deus it is a brilliant machine.
@@The-skillschool most certainly is a great machine and your videos are just as great 👍
Thank you sir 👍

Full tones is one of the best.
Very nice machine ♥️♥️♥️
Ive had my Deus about 2 months. Tried to install your EVO program but the new coil will not go up to 33. What???
depends on wht coil you are using, HF - X35
Do you do one do one just using hear phones
Is there adjust print off you could use in the field.
Sorry Richard I don't have this👍

Hey Gary might be a dumb question. But why would a deus user buy an ORX ? What’s the advantage if any ?
None unless you intend Gold hunting. I think the ORX Gold modes are more refined than the Deus Goldfield program.
Old vid I know but thought I would give it a go. BUT, tone 2 will only go up to 800. ???
Not on version 5x

So can this be used with original 11 inch black coil?
How do I put avo in using head phones please
You can't make tone changes with headphones, only select 2 tones
Slightly off topic apologies for that can I use ws4 and ws5 both at same time on one coil
Yes providing the RC is always turned on

Как настройть подобные настройки на ws4 ? Блок обязательно нужен ?
Find it difficult to tell the difference between small iron and good targets

Best use XY screen on this one for discrimination ..
Agreed the XY screen is a winner
