This is probably intentional on ConcernedApes part... and a hilarious choice at that. But I would’ve liked to see that Joja douche bag that Pierre knocked into a team rocket cut scene become the bus driver seeing as how he probably lost his job due to not being able to monopolize in a town of vast nothingness. Lastly I just needed to point out not a single building in stardew valley had a toilet so what exactly is the point of the sewers besides housing our favorite little iridium sprinkler salesman?
