What makes this song more remarkable is that they were in their 20's when they wrote it. People don't usually realize the depth of these lyrics until they get much older.

I didn’t understand Floyd till I was 30. I’m 31 now lol, but they are my absolute hands down favorite band of all time, nobody better. Amazing the wisdom these guys had (I know, mostly Roger with lyrics) when it came to song writing. True one of a kind band, will never be another like it

When Dark Side Of The Moon came out in 1973 one of my roommates brought it home. The three of us got stoned and put it on the turn table. When the first side was over we flipped it over to side two. None of us said a word until it was over. I've never had a experience like that before or since. Don't worry, I still get a tear in my eye when I hear Time. It has a whole new meaning now at 74 then it did at 23.

I found my moms copy in the basement but we didn't have a working turntable so we went to the store and I bought the cd and that night snuck out got stoned laid down on the ground stared at the stars listening to the whole album start to finish. Absolutely life changing to say the least!

I feel fortunate to have seen Pink Floyd perform the entire Dark Side Of The Moon album in Pittsburgh in 1973 at the Civic Arena for the DSotM tour. They played this album as the second part of the concert, and they did it under the stars and in surround sound. The arena had a retractable roof and made it all the more special, as they very rarely opened the roof. It was an amazing experience, and one I will never forget. And the cherry on top, I was 6 rows from the stage, right in front of David Gilmour. Thanks for doing these Pink Floyd reactions, always brings back memories for me. Love your reactions.

Excellent that you viewed the live performance as well, top 3 Floyd song for me, it is an utter classic and becomes more relevant as you age. You should do the same with Money, studio first and live after. The first time I saw Time live in 1975 was unreal, watching the clock pumper in the intense intro while we and everyone around us was tripping was an experience like no other, Floyd always took you to the highest highs. Try A Saucerful of Secrets live at Pompeii to see one of them. Enjoy! 🎵🎸🎤🎹🎷🎶

I also love Richard Wright, Pink Floyd's secret weapon (along with Nick Mason on drums). As for suggestions of other PF songs, from The Delicate Sound of Thunder concert, there is a song I'd really like to see you react to called "Yet Another Movie," which, if I remember rightly, was written around the time the band was making The Wall, but didn't find its way onto an album until A Momentary Lapse of Reason. As always, thank you for your reaction and work!

great choice, I saw this show when the Pulse tour came here in the mid-90's. Amazing on video, but to be in the middle of a full capacity stadium is even better. You liked the video ?-- Their entire show is built like that: a different video projection for almost every song. Since the 1960's. If you want something very different from Pink Floyd, you should try their very early songs (1967 or 1968)--they still had the first singer-guitarist Syd Barrett at that time, but he was a different animal. It's not the same band: very strange & very weird. but it's still PF.

Pink Floyd was a synergy of musical and lyrical genius. And yes both David and Richard were a large part of that genius. David continues and just released a single from his new upcoming album, and it's wonderful. The man is a musical genius and still going strong at 78 years young (you can't do a reaction as the video will be blocked, but you can enjoy it anyway)
    th-cam.com/video/gMr5GpCpKyA/w-d-xo.html ( David Gilmour - The Piper's Call (Official Music Video) )
A few years ago during covid lockdowns, he made a series of videos of he and his family with wine and song, here is one of his singles, done with his daughter Romany, who is quite good in fact:
th-cam.com/video/dGdEe8yp2TI/w-d-xo.html ( David Gilmour with Romany Gilmour - Yes, I Have Ghosts (Von Trapped Series) )
And here is a beautiful "photo album" of David and his daughter, set to one of David's pieces:
th-cam.com/video/T_gQ_D5yhAE/w-d-xo.html ( David Gilmour and Romany Gilmour - Kokineli ) Can you imagine having David as your father and music teacher? And it is amazing how similar Romany's face is to a young David...

Time as you perceive it is all dependent on your age. Cool experiment you can do to prove it. With a stop watch, have people ( young and old ) count to 60 seconds while you time them. Young people will get to 60 before the 60 seconds are up. Older people, the 60 seconds will be finished before they get there.
Try it on yourself. Start the timer, look away or close your eyes. See where you fall. All I can say is I wasted my time when I was young. Don't waist yours !
