    Speaking of the concept of "father". I come from a small Catholic town and I perceived that the parish priest replaced, to a very significant degree, the fathers of the families of my town. The respect and authority that rightfully belonged to these very real fathers of very real families was thereby diminished by the parish priest "Father". It's something that fundamentally weakens Roman Catholic men, especially in contrast to most Protestant men.

    • @marijusp
      @marijusp 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      It's not the problem of priest "father", but rather problem of lay fathers - maybe some of them didn't take enough effort as spiritual leaders of their families. For example, my father was only nominal catholic and for me this gap was filled by my gradpa (rest in peace his soul), who was exceptionally devoted and righteous man. He was and still is the best example for me 😉 And we (me and my cousins) even called him "father", not granpa 😃

    • @Kitiwake
      @Kitiwake 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Not the case.
      Lack of proper formation and catechetics is the reason for weak Catholic fathers when any.
      I'd question the veracity of your statement too though, protestantism being a mere shadow compared to the depth and theology of the church.

    • @kdmdlo
      @kdmdlo 2 ปีที่แล้ว +11

      @@tony1685 Well, I disagree that everything we do must be clearly labeled and defined in the Bible ... in fact, that's what the pharisees argued, and look how wrong they were.
      But, to answer your question, the origins of the sacrament of confession can be traced to John 20:21-23. In this, Christ does two important things to His appointed ministers (i.e., who are clearly priests, since they have been ordered to perform sacrifice). First, He empowers them to forgive sin against God on His behalf; that much is plainly evident from the text. Second, He orders them to do as He has done ... and He has just empowered His appointed ministers to forgive sin. So too, the apostles could empower their ministers to forgive sin. And so it propagates in time until today. I hope that clears it up for you.

      The Church (the supernatural bride of Christ) is not a woman, so there you have one clear example in how the relationship between Christ and the Church is not exactly, literally, the same as the relationship between a husband and wife. They're very similar, of course. But they're not literally the same because they're different in some parts (a wife and the Church, I mean.)
      One is a person (wife), the other is not a person (Church), so on and so forth...

    It is the most terrible tragedy of the entire Church, all over the world, by all of the Christians; that all of the parishioners, don't say Mass for themselves and families and clergy.
    I'm not ordained by human hands, but trust me in this, I'm Very Very Very Ordained.
    I taught two protestants how to say Mass in minutes. I told them that I would prove to them that this works, and at 12 PM tomorrow, they would feel a buzzing sensation going through them. "That will be God going through them as I say Mass for them at 12PM," I told them.
    Exact at 11:55 AM the next day, I felt a buzzing sensation going through my body, like someone was saying Mass for me.
    They were just believing protestants and unordained, uneducated, and believers in Jesus, Our Lord and Savior. That is all, One male and One female.
    About 12 years ago, I said Mass for myself, and asked God to give me the knowledge of the future. About 9 years ago, I looked right into the future to see Obama win his election by 281 electoral college votes, "three days," before the voting took place.
    I immediately spread it all over Twitter and sent tweets off to Nancy Pelosi, MSNBC News, Kelly O'Donnell, Obama about seeing the final vote of 281; and the tweets are still on Twitter under Gary James Shields, on that time line spoken about above.
    TRUST ME ON THIS ONE.
    You could have all of the Parishes, all over the planet, praying for you both to live another hundred years with age regressing body's. You could have some praying for you to have Angels with you to talk to, Healing Powers, the Ability to Walk in the Water, To be bullet proof, to be invisible whenever your need to be, to be able to levitate and fly, A N Y T H I N G ! ! !
    500,000,000 Masses all said on the same day for you two; and you would have snapped your fingers and things would have been done for you.
    There is still time. Time is of the Essence ! ! ! DON'T IGNORE ME ! I Speak from Experience, Verily.
    Ask me what to ask God to give to you and I will instantly pray and say Mass for you to receive it. Reply to me in this comment section, and I will do it for you.
    Faith is, replying to this message and telling me what you would want.
    The rest is up to me and God.
    Those who call upon the Name of the Lord, shall not be disappointed.
