hey bro let me ask you a question. .what is the best mode for taking a strangers photo on a street is it aperture or the manual? hope you will response to my question, thank you.
yo, btw, I'm really picky about who I subscribe to on youtube (i think I'm subscribed to three people), but I love your style and vids from the very first one. Keep it up homie, you're the real deal.
So I just got my first A6000 and this gave me two things I wanted to change. The "auto review" I wanted to remove, and I also didn't want that autofocus light helper thing. So that was great!
Those are all the settings I change first thing whenever I get a new camera. It's funny, the a6000 is STILL one of the top selling cameras today, even 6 years after it's release! And the price isn't much different than when I bought it way back then, still a great deal!
Awesome video, just a few tips and some tricks too 1. Focus beep is not "useless" sometimes your camera especially low light settings will lock OUT of focus when you think it's in focus. The beep is assurance it's ready to shoot. Hunting is a problem and sometimes your subject ends up in front or behind the focal plain. 2. RAW is best especially for those who plan to go pro and want to retain detail. the flat files are excellent if you are shooting and plan on not editing in today's day in age. Not saying "raw or nothing" I'm saying you have more control, Use RAW+JPG or straight RAW if you are all about detail. 3. Go to the gear menu, option 1, turn off focus assist. THAT is useless. 4. Go to option 2 in the gear menu, turn on focus peeking or"Peeking level". Set it on high. Now when you focus, you'll see dots on your subjects so you can assure how much is in focus especially for us manual shooters. Those long time shooters from back in my day would know how without it(left - right - middle(snap)) but we are in a new age with a newer camera. peek it until you see most dots, that's dead on focus. Use focus lock ;-) ;-) 5. Gear menu, option 3, shut off "AF w/ shutter", Turn off Pre-AF 6. Gear - 4 - Turn ON AEL w/ Shutter. 7. Gear - 6 - "Custom Key Settings ... Turn ON AEL Button ---> AF ON (Now you have a back button focus and your Half press shutter is your AEL. You'll have much much better control over your shooting technique so the half press constant refocus no longer exists especially if your camera jumps exposures using spot. Your half press locks the exposure while your back button is your focus. Use the custom buttons to set eye focus.. NOW you will be shooting some ish left and right persistently especially faster moving subjects.
Hello, Romanian fellow here. I'm so happy I came across your channel while trying to find more about Sony A6000. You have such a soothing voice and helpful tips. Keep up the good work ^^

I would really like to see a more detailed video about settings you use for photography, which mode you normally use for street shooting and what you suggest for videography. Hey thanks for the support! The kit lens is a great one to start off with! I have a review for it as well. I usually shoot in AF-C mode and manual to have full control over the settings. When I can go back out and shoot, I will try to make a new settings video!
My settings are similar to yours. On the dial mode normally I go for aperture priority or shutter, also I turn off that screen description when you turn the mode dial.
Nice! Good tip about the dial descriptions on the screen. It's important to know when to best use A, S, and M modes and can really help you get that shot!
I’m sure the a6000 isn’t the best option for night street photography, but it’s all I can afford at the moment. I read as long as I buy a good prime lens I should be ok. Any idea which lens is best for this camera with low light? Or overall best lens for different light settings? Thanks !
For low light, try to get the lens with the biggest aperture. So f1.8 or ideally, f1.4. That way you can let in more light for the sensor and lower your ISO.
Is there a way to switch off the 'constant preview' ? I think it's on full manual mode but when I move the camera pointing from the ground to the sky the screen dims or brightens to assist.

Peace and thanks to you Alex, that was very interesting =)
I bought my last of three a6000's in 2022 - This used model cost 40% more than the new one (with kit lens) than I bought in 2020
Thanks
Tbh I was looking for more of settings that can make the most out of the camera for shooting whilst out and about. This seems to be more about your preference with the camera gestures lol
Thanks.
Thanks for this. It really helps me a lot. ✌😘
I use exactly the same settings on my A6000
Oh really? Wow nice! I'm glad to know I'm not the only one haha
can you share a picture with setting afterwards. like in instagram and the setting on the comment. would love to follow you there
Thanks my ig is @az.visuals and I try to post camera settings in the description
Great stuff!.
Hey send that kid lense over to me please or let me buy it from you how much is it?😃
haha it is pretty cheap here in the states. You can get it used $200-$300
More in depth video please!
Does sony alfa 6000 support 4K. IF yes how to change the setting
I'd also turn off Pre-Af, it's annoying and saves the battery.
It doesnt support 4k only 1080p.
great video
thanks - finally managed to get that shutter sound to mute lol #late
thanks !
Sony A6000 is so good camera... Even with kit lens and if yiu buy those cheap Chinese prime lens image turn into gold... I have 35m f1. 8 and man man photos are super duper good
Vai dam koto ..
This camera can do slow motion
We still have that Sony a6000. Sad.
idon't agree your setting,s特别是af辅助声音和照明,声音可以提醒对焦成功,照明是自动的,你以为户外会亮?? 不亮的,默认设置比你自己乱改好多了,建议你还是学好再来发视频,af照明这点
My a6000 image size only goes up to L:20M. Is anyone else getting 24 like he is?
May the Lord keep sustaining you in His love Alex!
“The message is very close at hand;
it is on your lips and in your heart.”
And that message is the very message about faith that we preach: 9 If you openly declare that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. 10 For it is by believing in your heart that you are made right with God, and it is by openly declaring your faith that you are saved. 11 As the Scriptures tell us, “Anyone who trusts in him will never be disgraced.” 12 Jew and Gentile are the same in this respect. They have the same Lord, who gives generously to all who call on him. 13 For “Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.”
Romans 10:8-13 (NLT)
Ma non solo non si capisce ma non si vede nemmeno bene.
That background music is seriouly distracting and annoying
