No matter what you guys say or think, dude has 350 students. Thats $35000 per month. And obviously these students don't care. There are 2 types of students, those who want to get black belt and be the next UFC champ and those like me who wants to learn combatives and be able to defend against the typical attacker on the street. I am 57 years old, have 5 black belts and 30 years Law Enforcement and Security background. I served in 3 military services. I will probably NEVER be a black belt, but want to at least master the combatives. I attended Lloyd Irvin's school for about 2 years like 20 years ago and I also attended Bowie MMA where I live. Also, in every martial art I have studied, I knew EXACTLY what I needed to know to earn my black belt. I love that there is a curriculum to follow for GBJJ. At my last school there were 2 excellent black belts but they had no where near 100 students, and definitely not 350. So it seems there are many more students who want to learn self defense than there are hard core competitors and this is for them. I will also say this. When I started using my combatives to spar against the higher ranking belts in my BJJ class, I started tapping them more with my newfound techniques. We all know that the Gracie system works. Bottom line, it depends on what your goals are.

That blue belt was probably a purple or a brown from another school but demoted/humble himself to blue(under GJJ) in order to teach as a CTC location. IMO a 4 stripe blue under GU would be a brown belt at most non famous BJJ gym and a purple would be a black belt.
@@marksanchez7323 I don't have evidence but I'm saying if you get your purple or become a 4 stripe blue under GU you'll be pretty good and can hang with other students from 'normal' gyms. I used to train at a mma gym and a competition gym and the blue belts don't know 300 techniques. The teaching methodology and the core skills you need to know in GU is important. They don't grade base solely attendance and/or mat victories. I feel what they teach and how they teach is also the most efficient way to learn for 'normal' people who don't have time or can't go to class 5, 6 times a week or aren't in their 20s anymore and be about the 'jiu jitsu lifestyle 24/7'.

Gracie University is pretty strict in their technical standards AND ability to TEACH using their methodology. That blue belt was probably a purple or a brown from another school but demoted/humble himself to blue(under GJJ) in order to teach as a CTC location. IMO a 4 stripe blue under GU would be a brown belt at most non famous BJJ gym and a purple would be a black belt.
@@phuckfumassters I don't believe any of this is accurate
@@marksanchez7323 its true. A 4 stripe blue under GU is required to know almost 300 techniques before they can test for purple belt.
@@phuckfumassters what evidence is there that gracie university makes people significantly better than students at other schools of higher rank?
Bravo
Wow! My Dream 11 March 2024
@1:33: Sounds like a good lady.
Молодцы 🔥🤙🏻
Me next!
👀
Sounds like you won the lotto
Imagine paying money to this fraud. Blue belt in 10 days and opens a gym as a “side gig” what an absolute joke
That’s actually not true at all. You should do some research before having an uninformed opinion. For the record, I’m an unaffiliated brown belt with Alliance
Funny...a lot of guys can't separate sport from self defense. Black belts on the matts, shitty with real life confrontation.
As long as the training is good I suppose it doesn’t make this look like a money grab? Obviously the Gracie family is legit on the mat but holy shit it’s almost like Mc dojo style with this info commercial.
I swear this sounds like bikram yoga.
John Smith the cult?
I Just Changed My Name yeah they both seem pretty cultish. But I wouldn’t say full blown cult.
He talks like Rener
Of course he has 350 students! He has an infectious personality.
OMG my calling... All in one video! I got this! Message received Gracies! Message received!!!
The ONLY reason why he can say the word “success” is because he lives in USA. The biggest wealthiest country on the planet :)
Ask him if he can achieve the same thing in Serbia, Bodsuana, Nepal or Uruguay :D
Shout out to corona
Gotta good wife behind him.
how can he instruct a better student than him? doesn't make much sense... or he just teaches white belts?
There are specific rules in his affiliation about what he can teach as a blue belt. As far as I know a blue belt can only teach white belts.
@The Guy In the video he is also wearing a purple belt.
He’s a purple belt right now so he can teach all the way up to blue and promote to fourth striped blue
Money grab
350 x $200 let say, about $70.000 a month. Crazy rich for Jiu-jitsu Instructor...
This is not an advertisement for success ! It’s an advertisement for how 2 Gracie brothers have sold the art for a few dollars . People will call this shit karate in a few years
I’m a no stripe white belt.....thinking about opening a gym for myself.....
What a joke.
I mean. The dude’s a purple belt. That’s pretty legit.
Gracie if you care then you'll pin this comment
Jarrot fn why
U can open a school and NOT be a black belt?? Sounds wrong
