Living in a part of the country without any men's volleyball presence, I just appreciate that you're building an online community through this content. Short interviews like at the intro of this are super cool. Love getting to know your team and your influences.
Also, would be great to see practice sessions with the team
Appreciate the love bro! And yeah training sessions wouldn’t be a bad idea at all 👀 stay tuned hahaha
Franz's serve recieve is something else, insane how consistent he is
When did you start getting into volleyball and how? Also what's your number one biggest tip for trying to spike properly?
There's a ton of tips one can offer on spiking but if you're asking why this guy in particular is very good at spiking (for his style and compared to others), it's due to his vertical jump. Notice that the experienced volleyball player says this at 0:40.
So if a player is like 5'11" and below, jumping really high is extremely important so that you can actually hit downward or over blocks, as opposed to hitting into the net or out of bounds or weak hits. I actually don't know the heights of the net or his height, but this theme is quite apparent even without knowing those numbers.
@@LeonidasIVthe best tip is to have an extendedly long armswing that you can speed up or slow down, giving you maximum control. This way you can almost always tool blocks, even if you can’t jump as high!
Started about 4 years ago. I don’t have anything to add onto what the previous two comments had to say, but if you still want my input lmk :)
Letsgo everytime new video pops up i know it will be a masterpiece😎
Dude, this videos are to high quality. Each vid is a work of art. Learning a lot, just started playing club volleyball with my school.
This is solid content, raw reaction from what i face daily in a social league. Loving it dude! Keep it up
Love the mic'd up content. Nice to see the communication on the team. Good vb to watch.
This is my favorite volleyball channel on TH-cam! I'm learning a lot from how you and your team play! Also, that last block was beautiful!!
wonderful video! loved meeting your role models and learning how it all started for you!
I only stumbled upon the channel and I got hooked so ye keep going brother
Franz is cracked!! And it was great to see you stay persistent to try and get out of the slump. Protect the cameraman!!
Appreciate! And right franz is insane 😮💨
Haha yep! Always protect the cameraman
Gotta love the constant communication and adjustments.
Please keep making these videos. Loving the camera work
Started playing volleyball 2 years ago as an adult in early/mid 20s. I don't think I'll ever get to this level of play but it inspires me to get better watching these videos and seeing how you and other high level players communicate. Also stumbled upon your videos in my recommendation feed, and the quality is fantastic. Keep it up!
Aww man I appreciate the love! Never count yourself out dude. You never know. With enough hard work, understanding, and dedication, you'll be able to play at this level in no time :)
dude watching your vids make me want to push forward in volleyball. keep up the great vids💙
Stumbled across these vids today thinking I had a lot to binge.....ill be waiting for more content bc this is fireeeeee
Ooop sorry bro! We’re only about 4 weeks into this whole TH-cam thing 😂 but we’ll do our best to keep getting you guys quality content. Hope you stick around for a while :)
I just fell on your channel today, and damn, that's quality, video as well as the game itself, your energy is so good !
Honestly that's one of the best volleyball content in youtube. Please keep doing it.
High quality content bro! From Edmonton as well so appreciate you promoting our volleyball scene here.
If I ever bump into you at EVP I will tell you how great of a channel you're running in person :")
I think honestly take your time with the content don't rush to pump out vids and keep the quality and you'll go insane
Appreciate the support! We are committed to posting on a weekly basis, but once our schedules free up this April, we aim to increase the frequency of our postings
31:22 Your head almost came off with that dome! 🤣 Love your vids as always man, great camera work and the scoreboard on the bottom left is a nice touch. Gets me invested in the games. Keep up the great work!
Hahaha Yee I saved my face with that one 😂 and I appreciate the love bro! Glad you’re invested with our videos :)
HAHAHAHA the last clip! Love the vid and commentary. I learned so much from this! Keep it up Marco
I started playing volleyball in June of 2023 in the recreation center at my college. I have never played high school, club, or even had a coach. I picked it up fairly quickly and have progressed a lot since beginning. Watching your videos inspires me because to see someone who was in the same predicament as me is awesome. I currently am playing more sand that indoor but love both equally. Thanks for the inspiration!!!
Ayy that’s good to hear bro! Appreciate the love :) let’s keep working and becoming better ✊🏽
I need to get into beach. I’ll probs try it out this summer
that flashback to the dome last season.. you're wearing the Team Arriba jersey!
I'm a huge fan of spiderpenweezy and watched the entire Bakbaklaban playlist, and was thinking "#2 has MONSTER hops"
now it makes sense; I'd been thinking since the first video your playstyle was so familiar -- beast of a player
you're super inspirational for someone who's also never really played club, for school, etc but is driven to get better at the sport and pour a lot into it.
more health and more life to you, bro! can't wait for all the upcoming content. best of wishes in completing school, too
Haha yeah man! That tournament with Josh was fun af 😮💨 appreciate the love and support from you :)
The subtitles remind me of call of duty LMAO
Amazing work let's get better
hey guys dont stress the rush in uploads, im loving it even if its once a month
Aww man appreciate it!! We try to get a video out at least once a week. Our frequency will increase once our schedules get lighter
Ayo! After hearing people in my home town (Lac La Biche) saw me get absolutely domed at that BSS tourney on youtube and tiktok, I had to come check it out! Wicked content man. Crazy to see how far your reach is too. Former teammate living in Vancouver messaged me about that clip! Hella respect!
Yoo Filip! Mad respect to you bro for reaching out and being a champ during the tournament and showing love to the channel. It was super fun playing against you and your team.
Thank you for all the support from you and your hometown! I hope play against you again sometime :)
What inspired you to start recording your sessions? Also, what part of your game do you want to work on the most right now?
Your content is great bro, you on the come up for sure!
Yo, just wanna say the quality on these videos have improved so much in such a little time. Can really tell yall are taking the feedback and putting in the work so great job👍
Appreciate it bro! And Yee man we are always open to feedback and suggestions, so keep ‘em coming
the videos are so entertaining, ur vert is insane too and u're not hitting down as much anymore 👍
Appreciate bro!! And hahaha Yee I’m trying not to hit down as much 😂 def hard to say with only the first 2 sets, but stay tuned for pt 2 . It’s gonna be nuts 😮💨
Your videos are actually so good gang ur so inspiring to me cause im a 13 year old student learning about the game and ur videos are so fun to watch
Found your content thorught the YT algorithm. Love the content. It's nice knowing your background in volleyball. I'm in the same boat as you, never played in HS, College. Picked up the sport 2 years ago and fell in love with the sport. Working towards getting better everyday. Recently been working with some coaches to fix some bad habits and to really learn the sport as a whole.
What are a few things that has helped you improve the most in the game?
Love from Toronto!
That’s good to hear bro! Keep up the grind ✊🏽
The biggest thing for me that helped me a lot was literally just watching really skilled players. I learned a lot just from watching how they move and understanding the flow of the game at a high level
I want to see you hit a few more times. I can’t say for sure, but I think your arm swing doesn’t match your athleticism. I’ll use Matt as an example, but his armswing works very well for his height and jump. You jump high, but your armswing is slow and doesn’t give you that natural and flexible power. I feel like you muscle through your swings, and don’t get me wrong, your swings are great, but because you muscle through your swings, you should try to use an armswing motion that complements your brute force and the whippiness of your arms. So I would suggest speeding up your arm and taking out the drag and delay. By drag and delay, I mean your arm goes all the way outside during your armswing motion. It goes away from your chest and drops low, resulting in a loss of power and and swing height. If you keep that arm in and sort of condense it so it still pulls back but doesn’t pull out, I think you’d crank the absolute crap out of the balls and you would be able to hit higher and harder angles. Let me know if I’m making sense, and if I’m not I’ll explain it another way.
Wooah dude thank you! Fr I never really noticed nor did I have someone critique my arm swing like that! I really appreciate this
You do make sense! I get what you mean about drag and delay, and my arm coming out to the side. I’ve noticed it, but never really did anything to improve it
Do you have any workouts to help with that?? Please let me know! I’m always looking for ways to improve
Also, would you say it’s a shoulder mobility thing? Cuz my shoulders are super tight 😭 I’m trying to work on them
@@MKVB.2Well the way I see it is you have two options: the first one is to evolve your existing armswing. The second is to try a new one. There are exercises to help you, but the very best way to adapt and implement it into your game is by trying to push it and evolve during the game. The pressure to succeed will force you to find something what works for you! For starters, I want you to try two different kinds during hitting lines and scrimmages to see what works for you.
First, instead of letting your arm hang outside while you pull it back, bring it across and closer to your chest when you pull it back.
Second, you can try a more circular armswing. Just make a small vertical circle with your hitting arm after you jump. The lefty on your team does this sometimes too. He’s got a circular armswing, and can speed it up or slow it down depending on the set height, timing, and if it is too outside or inside.
@@MKVB.2 Your shoulder mobility is quite fine haha. Since you can do what you are already doing, I would definitely say it’s well above average. However, your armswing makes you hit down and not through. This means you can and will get blocked a lot, because you hit down into the block when you should be hitting around or over the block and deep. I’d also recommend exploring a high elbow, fast armswing. It would be a very quick pullback and a very quick follow through, but because of your hang time, you can see the court more clearly and make a decision between the pullback and the follow through.
I love the team good vibes even when you were in a slump, it is great to see that.
Thank you!! We always try to keep it a fun vibe; especially if one of us gets into a slump
Just three people I look up to playing volleyball lmao. You, Ryan, and Coach Kev
This is my favorite type of vb content, just a little higher level than where I play. Do you prefer hitting cross or line, and why? LOVE the content bro you deserve every sub coming to you.
After hearing you talking about that other arm swing with the lower draw, I decided to try today and bro it's going so well.
More power and less shoulder pain. It's so good to be able to learn lots new stiff even after playing volleyball for almost 7 years.
Quick little feedback on the editor. I LOVE the little comments you made whenever Marko was talking about the cameraman being important. Very interactive. I giggled a bit xDD
Appreciate the love! He loves having fun with the subtitles and throwing those comments in whenever he can :)
you should adjust your step more before you spike. you always commit to one jump. when the ball couldnt reach you, you always try to force hit the cross and it result in a down spike. Fix the approaching jump then you are good. your jump is high your hand swing is strong + the good shoulder mobility. you can easily swing straight and cross no problem.
Man thank you! I appreciate constructive feedback, fr. I love getting these types of comments cuz it’ll help me improve so much
Thank you!! ✊🏽
Love your content, the quality is insanely high for how big your channel is (camera work, cut, direction, and and and).
My question would be: what were the biggest steps when starting to play, in order to become better?
I would say is to watch people who are better. You learn a lot from how they move, read, and understand the game. From there, just keep exposing yourself to higher level of comp. You will naturally adapt to it :)
Love the content bro! Hope to see you in a bump set spike tournament in the near future!
25:24 yikes.. left him hanging
It really do be like that sometimes. 😂 In fairness I did get one from him like 5 seconds prior.
ig aiden doesnt set much to matt
if he sets to matt, he just kills all
i like the little head pats number two was giving you when you were having a hard time it was very sweet
i love caleb he seems like a really nice person to be around. very comforting
Another amazing video! The missed high-five at 25:25 😂
“Stop being a little dink” 25:00, Future merch hahaha
Also the editing this video! Chef’s kiss lol
dropped everything to watched this. very inspiring. I also never had a coach, but I continue to play because I enjoy the sport.
Just wondering how long it took you to get your hops. I also want to jump as high as you.
Appreciate the love! I would say I trained my vert inconsistently within the first year of getting into volleyball. I've become super lazy with it, but I'm starting to get back into it.
I BELIEVE IN YOU BRO!! TRAIN HARD
This is inspiring! Really wild to see great players to look up to from similar backgrounds as me. What resources do you recommend and what advice do you have for other self-taught players that haven't had coaches, teams, or colleges?
Biggest thing is to have fun with it. I enjoy every second I have playing volleyball. When you have the drive to get better and you also have fun with it, you excel so much faster, on all levels. I also recommend to watch high level volleyball. Break down how the player's move and try to mimic it when you are on the court
@@MKVB.2 Thanks for the reply, you're a real one. I'll definitely try and put these into practice, thank you!
Hey Marco, I live in Calgary and the first video that I saw with you in it was the vertical height video with DTvolleyball. After that it's been history. Love all your content and the pure jumping ability you have. I'm waaay shorter in height but I'm always amazed at your explosiveness when attacking the ball. It would be a huge honour if I could meet you one day. Cheers from a guy living in Calgary :)
Much love to you bro! I usually go to Calgary quite a bit. They got some good tournaments over there that I usually compete in
@@MKVB.2 That's awesome! Hopefully one of these days I'll be at one of those tournaments and we can meet. Looking forward to that day :)
Had no idea you were in Canada too. All the volleyball people I watch everyone from Canada play in Edmonton. Must be a hub or something over there. Maybe i'll have to make a trip over there to see what it's like.
Haha yeah man Canadian all the way 🫡. You should def come! When you do, lmk we can try and get some reps in or something
Great video ! 🔥
How tall are you and what's your jump height?
you jump high asl, like you said, contacting high is your main goal into becoming a better and more consistent hitter. it’s good that you know what you’re problems are and that you’re working to fix it.
Appreciate the supper bro :) I’ll do my best to work hard and get better as a player
You play really good! I was wondering what kind of mic your using it sounds so nice!
For those of us who are beginners in volleyball, what advice or tips would you give and is it ever too late to start playing volleyball? Loving the videos, keep up the great work.
IT IS NEVER TOO LATE. Honestly just have fun and enjoy it! Your skills will develop the more you get into it and start playing more
Love your videos! Question: what’s your favourite bread?
who records for you while you play? great vid brotha cool seeing your content grow in views !! and u always seem to blame urself dont be too self critical haha
My friend Alex! He’s nuts with the camera 😮💨
And you right. I try not to, but some days it be like that and it sucks 😭
Can u make a tutorial on how to approach a ball for spike?
and at what time, also when the spiker gets different types of sets to hit!!!.
This will help a lot. LOVE from INDIA. ❤❤
Hey man! Appreciate the love ✊🏽 we’ll definitely get a video out in the near future
Insane content Marco and editor/cameraman i was missing some volleyball videos that are not in russian. Do you pretend to do some gopro 1st person videos to?
Come to Brazil bruh lol
Thank you for the love bro! And nah we haven’t done any GoPro first person content, but that would be pretty cool tho!
Haha Brazil would be dope to visit! Maybe when we our schedules aren’t so busy we can make a trip down :)
HELLO!
Jump training tips/best way to get higher hops. and OR most important tip for spiking? there are so many components to it but if there was one thing to keep in mind what would it be?
So you play recreationally? Do you plan on coaching or taking a more professional stance in volleyball in the future?
Also do you have anyone at home that's helped you get to where you are now you would be comfortable talking about?
fav rising volleyball content creator (better than pme)
exactly totally agree
100%
Faaaacts
Appreciate the love y’all! I love PME’s content
Wholeheartedly agree, tho I feel like PME had his TikTok phase ( or is still in it? idc tbh) and is doing higher quality content recently with him filming his matches. I like those kinda videos cuz the guys are also BALLING, just like Marco and his boys do.
Not saying that I dislike PME, everyone who wants to get attention to this wonderful sport is a good guy.
I'm not sure if I actually already commented under a different video ( I think it was the first) or I just ended up deleting my words, but I guess what I like more about this channel and you specifically Marco, is your way of talking to yourself and your teammates. There is just no bad intention EVER, no spite, no rage or anything that you can feel.
Just being friendly and helpful (or appreciative when others give tips) and happy that you can ball with nice people, it's such a rare mentality and also how I try to approach my practice and game sessions with my team as well.
Sadly there will always be people who just don't know how to express themselves without being in rage and flaming others, which noticeably affects a few other people. I'm not really affected by it, if you're the type of guy to throw a few jokes and jabs to get someone to focus I'm all for it, I can take that and will also throw a few jabs when you lack in your play, but the younger ones just don't fly that way,. Really frustrating that I notice that the raging guys are literally hindering our younger guys (we have our youth players mixxed in the Mens Leagues so we basically have a few 15-19 year olds with bunch of 30 years like me) to develop so as a teammate I have to put in effort to help all these guys and that takes focus and energy away from actually playing.
Completely went on a tangent here, but I guess I wanted to emphasize how great of a teammate all of you guys are, but especially you Marco.
Keep up the work bro, every vid a hit, also you got HOPS MAN.🤯🤯🤯
