this is craaaaaaaaaaaaaaazy this is really two of mytop 5 favorite bass players that made me even want to pick up a bass. Please keep doing your thing both of you.
Its skill and technique like this, that will have me up practicing all night or until my fingers fall off, I admire their so called lack of not knowing how good they are LOL, what ever guys, keep doing yall thing.
I just don't get it when I see dislikes on a clip like this. You're presumably here as a bassist (otherwise, a masochist ;-) ), so what's to dislike about two remarkably talented bassists who're sharing their astonishing talent and clearly having fun? You don't like the style? You don't like the audio quality? You're jealous? What is that moves you from indifference to actual dislike? I really don't get it.
@dillikins I think you have a point to some degree but what their doing on their instruments takes many years of practicing and a gifting to get to that level. Their really talented individuals.
Im sure the Snoop tour is cool, but I 'd love to see Bubby tour with someone else that would let him be able to do more of stuff like this, like a Rachell Ferrell.
@carloscs5 - It wasn't "given" to them and it's not something that can be sold. It's simple - they enjoy listening, creating and playing music, and they practiced because they were inspired and wanted to improve. There's nothing supernatural going on here; no mystic powers, spirits, ghosts, demons or magic - it's human nature. It's an insult to give credit where it doesn't belong and these guys didn't get to this level without the work they put into it.
@dillikins Actually if a guitarist played the same it would be impressive. Wrong instruments? I think not. Aren't they both string instruments. Does everyone have to do the same thing on each individual instrument? I'm just sayin'
If playing with the rappers Bubby has played with isn't "selling the talent God gave them", then I dunno what is. Don't get it twisted.. Bubby is sick with it and not too many people would turn down the gigs he's gotten, but they aren't exactly spreading a Godly message in their music.
That's the current state of bass, hmm - play stuff that would sound like mediocre noodling if done on guitar but because it's done on bass it makes some people's jaws drop. Ughh. I think you are playing the wrong instruments my friends...
