Sir, one surgery had done on 10/1/22 in respect of my wife due to fribroedionoma. After surgery , three nos lump remove from one breast. But, some time the surgery breast has been strengthen (tight )and same time the nipple have been strength (fitting) with mild pain. That time , use tablet Ibroprofen 400 mg , the breast change normal position.Now , till today one side tightness in that breast, not happening softness.So, how many days waiting for getting a softness breast.

@@ray_of_hope0896 I didn't Go for surgery coz the size was approx 2cm only and in some cases it reappears after surgery too .But it doesn't pain or bother at all now. Its still there though

@@ray_of_hope0896 yes sis its movable and feels on touching that part but I would suggest u to go for ultrasound and then again after 5 months to check if size is increased
If size is not increased then no need of surgery. I have heard it will automatically disappear after few years maybe

Hi doctor I have underwent surgery in 2016 for fibroidenoma.However, it has reoccurring what we can do in that case now the size is small.My breast just swollen before periods it feels really heavy and it's very uncomfortable to sleep.

I have been recently diagnosed with fibroadenoma in my bilateral breast..my doctor has put me on 15 days medication. But it is very very painful i even move i cant even lift my arms. My breasts has swollen up n it feel very very heavy..in my sonography somewhere it is mentioned as 4cm.
In this scenario do you feel that I should get it operated?

Please meet a general surgeon. It can be anything from abscess to galactocoele. Best is to take an expert opinion.

I have had this surgery when I was 18 yrs old.process wasnot painful post recovery. Only thing which was painful, was the removal of the small tube which hurt me like hell.
2 years again, i noticed fibroadenoma in my left breast it was disheartening but then i got it operated because it used to pain and size was increasing.This time the tube was not inserted hence I was very relaxed. It didnot pain.
But an advice ,Donot go for local anesthesia .go for general one.I did this mistake twice and felt cuts while surgery.
Your shape of the breast chsnges a bit, you will feel that.
I do have scars because cut was made along the boundaries of dark circular area around nipples in c shape both the times.you would revover in 15 days easily. Keep disinfecting the area every 3rd day.

Fibroadenomas are extremely common and surgical removal can help to relieve the symptoms
Actually , strictly speaking - Only Giant Fibroadenomas (>5cms) / Symptomatic Fibroadenomas (Painful) need to be excised
Small fibroadenomas usually dont need surgery and can be left in there without much issue.

Unmarried women ( That is Without Pregnancy and Lactation/breast feeding) usually have higher levels of Estrogen (Hyperestrogenic state) which is a risk factor for Breast cancer
Best way of prevention of Breast Cancer is - *Early Detection*
In all females >40 yrs of age = Breast Cancer screening is recommended
Using *Annual Mammography*
That is - Whichever female is above 40 yrs of age - should get Screening Mammography done once in every year
