Hamilton seems to be counting down the days until he gets his new Ferrari. Russell seems more highly motivated.
Ferrari should keep Sainz who can drive around problems

It's 'a-dog-of-a-car' and Hamilton has finally had enough and jumped ship to Ferrari for 2025 season. He has totally lost confidence in Mercedes' ability to deliver a competitive race car.
It's doubtful that Hamilton is just taking 'a-leap-of-faith' in leaving Mercedes for Ferrari. Justifiable cynicism says "He knows more than he is at liberty to say about Ferrari's winning prospects".
There is no way he'd have committed to going to the 'Prancing Horse' if there wasn't an 'extra something' to be gained . . .

So why is Lewis doing so poorly on 2024? When he has low moral, he underperforms. Just like 2011, 2016, 2021 (first half) and 2022.

The dedicated racer in Hamilton just won't allow him to merely under-perform in a Mercedes car on the track, until he can rightfully and contractually join Ferrari, where his mind has already gone.

I think Lewis is tanking the season! He’s barely and rarely pacing Russel! There appears to be a lot more undercurrent dynamics going on!

2022 Lewis also lost to Russell. He also lost to Button in 2011 and came 6th overall, and lost to Rosberg in 2016 after Rosberg won 7 in a row.
When his moral is low, he doesn't perform. Same thing happened to Vettel after Canada 2018.
