So sorry to hear about your dog, loved it when she’d randomly slowly open the door horror styles ❤️
@shameronstar you can see her in the espada/captain reviews sometimes
Dutchess was a good dog 😥
Damn
@@onedmgninja she wasn't a good dog. She was the best😞
Aww in those live streams when dutchess just stares at Tekking for a walk good times RIP Dutchess
I'd love a show of all the tekkings interacting with each other
Nah, give them a movie
Tekk-Man: Into the Tekk-Verse
We got Spider-Man: No Way Home.
I think that’s enough.
A single universe with all the Tekkings would destroy everything.
I imagine it being kinda like a Webtoon that I read called Living with Yourself
If that was made into a thing it probably wouldn't take too long for someone to complain about how there isn't a same sex relationship or socially woke hippies or "feminists" or suddenly changing the main character's gender or race as if no one is supposed to argue about continuity or some other bullshit like that.
I’m so sorry about dutchess man :( I remember first seeing her in the making bread videos. I hope all is well
Makin Toast!
@@HotWheels24seven best episode was the one when he used Nutella. So simple but it was just him talking trash on it😂
YEAH TOAST
@@jeremyderp Nutella is highly overrated anyways LMAO
@@HotWheels24seven it honestly is, peanut butter will always be better
I have two ideas for this show concept that I think are pretty fun:
1. Have one of their neighbors or friends comment about how "interesting" or "unique" their decor is on the fourth wall (the implied one that the audience doesn't see in a sitcom) once or twice in the episodes before the twist reveal. It plays like a meta joke because they look toward the audience and cameras when looking at it, and it can also come across as one of those jokes about how crazy this thing just off-screen is with the audience left to imagine what it is. Then once their secret lives are revealed show their home from a new angle that includes that fourth wall as part of the set and we see that it's covered in all sorts of centuries old weapons and portraits and such.
2. In the later episodes of the season or perhaps the second season the trailers or the few commercials that air can still maintain the facade of an ordinary sitcom but with a very brief, almost subliminal flash of the centuries old mystical-looking family crest, leaving viewers who haven't yet seen or heard about the series to wonder what that was all about and even if it was some sort of mistake or somehow promoting something unrelated.
Unironically one of if not the best TH-camr in History
Episode 1: "where are my cufflinks?"
Episode 8: "where's my huge katana?"
Also the daughter's first date would definitely be with a secret demon
Romeo and Baphomet
Simple idea to fix the advertising. Advertising it as a "mature sitcom" kinda like a 13 Reasons Why meets Fresh price. Like have people be confused from the TVMA, then the twist kicks ya hard. Or it could be The Clarks gets all the advertising as this simple little sitcom. Market it as a "return to simple television" something that people will gravitate to because they want to return to the basics. Honestly I feel like you can get a good amount of advertising on this, without spoiling the big twist. You'd just have to play the cards right
It sounds like something that Adult Swim would air at 1am
Honestly I'm not quite sure if this marketing could work. Even with what you mentioned. Advertisements would also be important for retaining viewer attention week by week. Not to mention it'll be impossible to convince ANY network to hire people for a project only to have them downplay the project. The last thing any network wants is for actors/actresses to barely advertise what they're doing. There are exceptions such as if it's a surprise guest or something drastic happens to a character, but if they're meant to act as show regulars, the network will force them to advertise
Some exec will watch the whole sitcom synopsis, stop like 7 minutes into the video and say "genius. This is a masterpiece"
So sorry about Duchess, she seemed like the sweetest and was THE cutest! I hope you and your family are doing alright!
Sorry to hear about your dog, Duchess, Matt. This is the best tv show idea I’ve ever heard. Also your idea sounds like the combination between Danny Phantom, Wanda Vision, Full House, Vampire Diaries. Marketing actually would be similar to Wanda Vision and the trailer would be like “ Meet the Clarks a normal family living in suburbs or are they ….”. I am thinking about casting now lol 😂 maybe john krasinski as the dad, Jessica Alba as the mom, Millie Bobby Brown as daughter, David Mazouz as the son, Chuck Norris as grandpa, and Linda Hamilton as grandma. It can also star other known actors occasionally if needed to raise the initial ratings for viewership till episode 7.
Yeah that cast could keep it alive long enough. Chuck Norris alone would be a hint there was more to the story.
Love the idea but I'm afraid it would be hard for some reasons
1) waiting till the 8th episode might be hard maybe kept till the 4th
2) hard to be a live action show
3) marketing as you mentioned
Yeah a 24 episode is hard to market maybe like a 8-10-12 episode series and the reveal happens in the middle or the last few episodes
The laugh track is a Clark family curse, their series arc is trying to lift the curse and silence the laughs. Everyone can hear it, they wait patiiently for the disembodied reactions to quiet down, but part of the curse is that no one acknowledges them verbally. The friend who witnessed the teacher's transformation, now aware of demon magic fuckery, asks the Clarks about the laughs and awws, and they deny it too, at first, to protect him from catching the audience's unkind attention as a result of peering through the fourth wall.
The complete unexpected turn from sitcom to chaos is similar to the anime Talentless Nana. I'm not going to spoil what happens, but the story's turn is rather unexpected
You're right. 100% agree. You're a great person, ngl.
I second this
@@TheMoped you are suspicious, I think I have seen you before...
I would also call it similar to Madoka Magika ep 3, where aside from some hints and well, the chaos of the dream in EP 1 we had no idea the ride we were getting into
OMG yes, I was blanking on the name but yes. Totally this
I would love to see the return of all the skits you used to incorporate into your reviews back in the day.
Turn this into a DnD campaign and it will be like Vox Machina.....!!!!!!
Omg great idea yes please!!
During the 1st 7 episodes, there needs to be some huge lore reveal or something that nobody realises was a huge lore reveal until much later
Every upload on the tekking1001 channel is a banger
I feel like the best chance of creating it would be a web series. There'd be less popularity, probably, but that's the only way I could really see it being able to be posted. It also might need to be animated for budget reasons (animation can still be very expensive but it'd probably be cheaper than full CGI).
Also, it's not that similar, but the idea kinda reminds me of the secrets from Gravity Falls.
Like, the whole reveal with Stan at the end of season 1.
I’m going into this blind (in terms of other comments) but this is a wildly layered concept!
For what it is worth, I’d love to be an accidental person to stumble upon this and have to wait a week or more to figure out if this is a fever dream or show I’ve made up watching because it is later at night.
(Even from a comedy perspective, still would feel like I’m not seeing a show when I’m seeing it if it remains so obscure from marketing too.)
Cannot tell what I’m more intrigued by, the eventual layers, the subtle things that would feel like a unique interaction moment as a viewer should you find it, or that so much unfolds but the mystery of the comedy origins is going to rattle in my head for awhile.
As someone else who is in a crazy layered project built on years of figuring it out - keep fueling this momentum!
Even if the cat is out of the bag (so to speak) on this turn of events, whatever is tying all of this together is fascinating.
Whether it is another layer for this idea or a new story entirely - I hope you’ll continue exploring it!
P.S. As far as budgeting, marketing and network, I think the harder thing would figuring out how to make sure they don’t market the unmarketable part of this premise. (If that makes any sense?)
Everything else, along with the obscure time slot and day, could actually play in your favor someday.
At least one network could play ball so - I could be taking all of this too literal but just wanted to leave a comment your way.
Have a good evening!
WOAH ITS TEKKING UPSTAIRS
We rarely get a video from the vlog channel & when we do...
You better believe it's gold.
Wait Dutchess died? Sorry to hear about it Tekking, I remember all the times she would walk on streams and videos. Rest in peace best dog.
Tekking TV?!? I’d tune in
The inner machinations of tekkings mind are an enigma
I can imagine this show working best in animation. At first, it might look like a generic Family Guy ripoff with the stilted animation associated with it. But the reveal of the demon suddenly causes the animation to get more detailed as it turns into an action cartoon... but the character designs are still the same, so they still look like Family Guy ripoffs. I think that could be hilarious.
or considering tekkings intrest it has a anime artstyle in the vein of shows like doraemon or crhis sweet home but after the twist overtime the shows artstyle is more in the vein of akame ga kill or attack on titian or fullmetal alchemeist
@@jadenbryant9283 There was an anime that actually already did do this concept. It's called School-Live!
Its essentially your generic "cute girl doing cute things" slice of life. The anime opening and ending was upbeat, it was funny, a typical slice of life series.
But then it becomes really dark out of nowhere. And the Opening music is still upbeat but the animation of the opening itself gets darker as the series progresses. It's exactly what tekking101 described.
@@revolvingworld2676 o i hear if that show it honestly made me cry
Rip Dutchess, I've been watching your videos since 2014 and it was always a treat when she popped up in a video
Tekking made a series about bread interesting. I want to see Tekking make more tv shows/film stories.
I'm so sorry to hear about Duchess Tekking, was always nice seeing her show up in the odd stream checking on you I hope she went peacefully at the very least and just remember always keep them in your hearts and when you smile they smile. Oh and as a great man once said about when a man truly dies applies to even animals, with this channel and how many will probably continue to watch for a long time to come that wonderful Dog will live on in all our hearts.
Damn Matt, I didn't know Duchess passed away. Sorry to hear it bud. I do love the sitcom though!
15:38 This actually reminded me of one of the recent episodes of Amphibia season 3 when Marcy fully turned evil the end credits changed and it wasn’t the new credits it was a eerie toned type of credits with no music…That was a nightmare fueled episode I’ll never forget
Matt this idea is amazing lol love it man. My condolences about baby girl Dutchess 😞 I loved when she would randomly pop up in videos over the years, amazing dog man
AM I THE ONLY ONE WHO DIDNT KNOW DUTCHESS PASSED!?!?!?
Somehow I messed that 😢
bro im so lost, when did that happen
@@gntyh ya I don’t think he ever posted it somewhere. I haven’t missed a video since like October
@@TheHonoredOne444 He mentioned it in a stream a couple months ago. Maybe in December?
@@meridithg.42 yeah I remember that stream he was just talking about crappy sicknesses and then talked about his dog
Did Tekking draw a mustache?
Nope he’s been growing it I’ve noticed it for a while
Closest this reminds me of is Riverdale, but I've never watched it just seen Super Eyepatch Wolf's video on it.
Hearing about dutchess broke me. I remember her in all of your videos. From her being in your toast series to even her getting in your car when you delivered a letter to oda asking if baby 5 can make nukes. Rest in peace dutchess
Sorry to hear about your baby it was so cute whenever she came into your room. Rest easy Duchess ❤
Holy crap, didn't expect a notif from this channel this morning
As you said, we have Hank Clark the dad. I had some ideas for the other family members, though, and I think it would be pretty interesting to share. First off, in my mind the Mom is Helen Clark. We have the children, Joshie & Bella Clark, with Bella being about a year or two older than Joshie. The dog is, of course, Dutchess, but is later revealed that the dog can pull out machine guns from it's side (Robo-Dog Yay!) The evil teacher's name is Mrs. Elich (definitely not eldritch), and looks like a 70 year-old woman. The grandfather Clark is Grandpa Johnny (as called by the kids), but is known as John to Hank & Helen. Also, John's wife was the Clark resurrected into the dog, but as you said she was cursed into a dog's body. For some reason I thought of these at around 2 am, so I felt obligated to share, especially because Matt's take on this was so cool 👍
Rest In Peace duchess ♥️ og goat of the channel. Matt hope you’re well sorry for your loss
Also: always had an idea of a zombie apocalypse movie about people who lock themselves in like a Walmart and have to make use of everything that they have while defending themselves from the zombies
The first episode of the "new show" (E8 I think you said) you've gotta have it open with the old sitcom opening (for those who just turned the show off 2.5 min before the ending last week). And open on the friend (or boy/girlfriend) walking up to the Clarks house (wacky sitcom music ba da da ba) opens the door to see his friend covered in blood and grandpa's discecting a demon or something on the kitchen table. That's the complete tonal shift for the show. E9 debuts the new intro.
the tekking101 show would be marvelous
My favourite sitcom has to be Mad About You. Not sure how much it holds up, but I have so many fond memories of envisioning myself as a New Yorker.
I feel special it's good to be here. I'd be more than down for a 90s style Tekking Sitcom.
VLOG CHANNEL SHALL LIVE ON
How did I just find out about this channel, love you tekking you are a goat
This was so good I forgot it was just an idea and halfway through I actually thought to go look up the series lol
this whole hidden lore aspect really reminds me of the way Adventure time handled it's lore. at the beginning of the show you have no idea of anything, and the whole weird and funny kids show just takes too much of your attention to notice the subtle hints, until at some point it really hits you.
example: The ocean. It was the first time I realized what kind of world they were in, when I saw what was under water. Or even better, when the world is seen from outer space the first time. Or the song that marceline sings together with... damn I need to re watch some of that show.
The closest thing I could think of was the love episode Inside No.9 did, the shows is about each episode starting off normal and it slowly gets revealed that something is wrong until the twist is fully revealed at the end. The live episode was marketed as just a normal new episode and there were fake errors such as no audio and all that, it then cuts to live footage of the creators of the show in like a really haunted place and it basically turns into a horror thing.
I can imagine it as a binge series on Netflix with the first half of the first season released with the last third of that binge being the demon hunters. Not many would watch something like 8 episodes of a sitcom in one sitting on Netflix so the internet wouldn't go crazy overnight. But after the first group of people tell another group of people, word of mouth spreads and by the time the second half of the season is released, there is now a sizable group of people interested in what is going to happen.
You know at first I really thought this was going to be some kind of horror show but you really subverted my expectations
awwwee i know how you feel about your doggo my childhood doggo passed last year hope dutches passing was painless loved seeing her in your vids
hey Tekking. i really like that show idea. it sorta reminds me of Supernatural (the hunting of monsters) and Wandavision (a show that starts out as a sitcom but becomes dramatic later on). i think for a show like your idea to be marketed correctly, the comedy elements in the show should never really go away. they would have to be there throughout the show, and when the show is advertised, only the comedy parts are shown (at least for the first season). and obviously, when the show becomes darker, the humor should also get more mature, and more humerous.
A few years back, I was watching a Punisher movie at home with my brother, with a bizarre focus on the people in the apartment the Punisher lived in as supporting characters- Which lead me to joke there should be a TV show called "Frank's Castle" which is a completely ordinary sitcom, except one of the characters is The Punisher, and it was all we could talk about across the rest of the movie.
His antihero antics would never graduate beyond a B plot, it's treated with the exact same plot importance as any other character's job, he's just secretly The Punisher and you'll occasionally see him committing horrifying acts of brutality in the background, see references in news reports to his murders, or see him torturing people in cutaways, while everyone else is blissfully unaware and continuing with normal TV show comedy
kinda like my idea where the show is abotu a spider-man stand in where he has a superhero show but his plot atleast for the first half is the b plot while the a plot is more typical sitcom fair basically the show is a superhero story from the perspective of the supporting cast
tekking how dare u make me watch a 30 min vid about a topic i didn't know i would like to hear discussed and make me enjoy ever min of it
Dude I love your stories on your tekking1001 channel
Woah, i gotta get on my post notification bell for this channel
Hello! I'm not sure if you even go back and read old comments, but a show I would recommend based on the first half of the video, is called: Mr. Robot
its a really detail heavy show, where everything connects, just like one piece. near season two, there's a set of events that lead to a 'cliché sitcom' kind of joke situation, but played out it a more realistic way. This video may be a joke, or not, but Mr. Robots a very good show! For a more mature audience though.
Also as feedback I think that keeping the original theme and end credits would create a more sinister and mysterious atmosphere for the show
Absolutely
15:38 - you know... this sounds kinda like the setup for the color rangers arc in Level E. but 5 friends instead of a family. You should read/watch it. it's pretty cool
Sorry to hear about Duchess she always made the videos more fun when she showed up
The twist kinda reminds me of the webcomic Scoob and Shag how it starts off as a stupid shitpost but evolves to a whole battle comic with power systems and everything after a couple of chapters
HOLY CRAP! I thought this was an old ass video until Tekking mentioned WandaVision. I guess this was Vampire Tekking from the Bleach days.
Was I the only one more interested in his game collection than his TV show?
Hey tekking, in Ireland they have sit-coms filmed in front of a live studio audience. One in particular is mrs. Browns' boys
Just imagined the curse setting in during the Son's basket ball game, where the sitcom and buffy stuff mesh for this one episode
The Clarks? I think the Winchesters would be a better name for the Family.
Someone needs to get a hold of Tekking and turn this into a webtoon
finally tekking spending time with us .
This wasn't a sitcom at all, but there was a show on Netlfix called October Faction about an undercover family of monster hunters, and I think the twist was that the kids were secretly monsters or something like that?
"Grounded for Life" I've been trying to remember the name of this damn sitcom for ages.
when you get your whole house set up you should do a full house tour would love to see that
Almost reminds me of that one Goosebumps book where the kids were telling their parents that one of their teachers was a monster, but it turns out that the kids and their parents were also monsters, and the parents ate the teacher monster for encroaching on their territory.
When my dog passed it really bothered me. I’m sorry Matt - Keep your head up as best as you can mate.
I had no idea you were even still uploading on here. I thought it was recommending me another vlog from 2012
4 minutes in and it allready sounds like every 90's show i ever watched...
Wow, this really reminds me of some of your older videos :D
I think it'd be way funnier if the outro didn't change at all
Side-note, please expand on this more. Or just more shit in this format
The best way to market it is to have famous actors where there fans would watch them in almost anything
Sounds like a nuclear apocalypse with hidden monsters
The Barry and Tekking Show with your host Barry!
This actually sounds like a great show to binge
Bob Saget and Dutchess died?
Yes
Could be some hints like "Timmy like likes manga, his favorite is Demon Slayer" or "Jessica is a goth", slight hints like that, but nobody thinks otherwise.
I feel like he was just describing Bojack horseman's "Hourseing around" in the beginning
malcon in the middle and the wonder years are still the goats
Honestly think this could actually work better as an animated show. Take Star VS the Forces of Evil. That shows first season has a very unassuming slice of life atmosphere and then begins to pick up speed later, you would just have to keep it grounded in reality longer and drop the bomb she's from another world later in a big reveal
agreed just like a other comment i made have the style go cutsy to serious
Laying down watching this video felt like I was high while face timing my friend who's also high pitching me an idea for a TV show. Great videos though
My favorite thing is how Tekking be like “totally rote sitcom, yanno dad, mom, kids, yanno that kind of sh1t” and is also like “the grandpa pulls out a Gatling gun and mows evil demons down, yanno that kind of sh1t”
As if they are completely equivalent kinds of sh1t.
Hey Tekking! You should check out Man Seeking Woman because its surreal like your saying but the things that are happening are as ridiculous as he said, also his willy breaks up with him its hilarious
R.I.P Duchess she was a real one 😢
first 15 minutes I was waiting for you describe wandavision
The love child of wandavision and supernatural. But with the tekking twist
I feel like you should totally talk to Randy Troy about this sometime, he's done a lot of work in the film industry
There have been decent number of anime with a big twist but it is usually around 1 or 2. Gakkou gurashi and Madoka are some good example of it. You could say attack on titan is also that but the twist happens pretty much in episode 1 or if you wanted, it happens in season 3.
I love this weird Tekking energy.
F great doggo.
I like just picturing everyone in the show as tekking and barry
I need a compilation of all the tekking tumbles
Reminded me of my idea of a completely normal slice of life ending in a school shooting.
RIP to Dutchess a doggo legend
Yo tekking u should do more vids like this i loved it its fire
