Thanks so much❤️😍. Amazing indeed. Food was 10/10 ... we enjoyed every meal. Breakfast was really a full brunch everyday... an event on it its own. The dinner over the Sandbank was delicious and spectacular.

@@lilyofthevalley2248 Thanks so much. Definetely a great future destination. Flight times were long... 13.5 hours from Atlanta to Doha, then we had a 8 hour layover then a 5 hour flight. We could have had a 2 hour layover but wanted to explore the new section of the Doha airport (lounge and garden).

Great video and congrats on your anniversary. We are headed to Alila as well. Could you provide some clarity on how gratuties work there? I see they are charging on reserv 10% service charge , I'm unclear what that goes towards and did not get a clear answer from hotel. I don't want to shortchange anyone who assists us on our stay. I'd like to know how much cash to bring to address tips. Thank you so much!
Thanks. We gave a few persons additional gratuities as I think its optional and appreciated. We tipped our room attendant and concierge to show additional appreciation (we think $10 to $20 per day is a good rate depending on the total days staying). The restaurants already had service charge so we tipped less there... occasionally for extraordinary service. Most of the tourists from Europe do not tip anything extra at all. I do not believe the staff expect extra tip but it is certainly appreciated.

Hi, what items are not include in the room price? Do you have to pay for the food and restaurants or is it included? Also, what was the process to get to the resort did you have to pay for flight to get to the resort. If so what was the cost?
Breakfast included in room rate. Water is included in room. You have to pay for all other meals as it is not included. The hotel will contact you once you book for the air details to schedule your inter Maldives transfer on seaplane once you arrive in the Maldives. A staff member meet you at the airport exit and escort you. Cost for the seaplane is approximately $800 per person roundtrip.

Breakfast was for 2 adults ( and kids as well). i went back to the reservation and it states "The return airport transfer fees are USD 650 per adult and USD 325 per child aged 2-11 years. Infants (2 years and below) can travel on a complimentary basis, seated on an adult’s lap." ... I believe tax was also added to this in our final bill. The cost includes flight and back.
