You need to "round the edges" with a router to prevent the plastic molding of your car from being damaged by the OSB.
I'm so glad to have found your channel! Watching your videos has been such an encouragement for me. I so want to begin my solo camping/SUV living as soon as possible. However, I'm so concerned living on the East Coast that there are not many FREE places to do so. Any suggestions will be appreciated!!
I find truck stops and interstate rest areas as great for the night. Just make sure they allow it.

I may have to live in my equinox here pretty soon, which is less than ideal but will probably save me some money, and I wanted a guide on how to do so, and this seems really helpful and doable. I never even thought about removing the back seats.

Mattress is very important. I have a tri fold 7" memory foam cot size. 31" x 75"

I am using my Chevy Traverse for camping this year. No modification because I want to be able to still use it as a six person car but I do have my rain guards in place, I put zip ties on the handles above the passenger doors that I can then put corners of a dark sheet into for a divider curtain, my back is all tinted so I’m not too worried about those yet. One state park in Michigan visited and two more booked for June and July. Definitely more going to happen after that. Loving how easy it is to just slide everything in and out when I’m going and coming!

Interesting 🤔 , it seems like there's an epidemic of SUV builds these days ... I've been SUV ing for years in my 2010 RAV4 limited... No build .. Folded rear seats down.. 2" gym mat from Walmart at $30 . 4" memory mattress from Amazon at $65 on top of gym mat . Few of those FunWatt power stations at $150 each .. Apicool fridge from Amazon @ $150 .. Roof rack from Harbor freight @ $70 ... Very straight forward traveling 😉 with a simple and clean system that works for me ... 😊. Ex military with excellent 👌 organizations skills .

Good job! I think a used Toyota Sienna van could offer more space, lower cost and reliability, for this venture. Sienna's usually get over 300k miles with very low maintenance. Just a tip.

Does your back seat not fold down all the way? My equinox is 2019 and folds all the way to be flat with the rest of the tailgate area

What is the length of the mattress/Total room to stretch out?
We have a 2007 equinox and two kiddos. I am trying to build a bunk over the bed. But could you give me the dimensions for the bed or platform. And any info on size for the window covers. Any info would be greatly appreciated. We are planning to live in our car. Thank you
