Saw so many great bands at Massey Hall. I saw Split Enz, Depeche Mode, U2, Adam Ant, Simple Minds, China Crisis, Blue Rodeo, The Waterboys, Tears for Fears, and many others.

1990, Stompin’ Tom Connors, what a night, what a cross-section of people. Crowd got ugly when “security” started hassling an 80 year old dancin’ a crazy jig in the aisle. They backed off instantly, the crowd was the security that night. There was a break when Tom auctioned off his stomping board for charity, a pile of us beelined to the licensed restaurant across the street to get topped-up, what a packed, happy zoo, thought I’d been teleported to a bar in Newfoundland. Tom came back on 40 minutes or so later and the party resumed...my greatest Massey night, stompin’ along with stompin’ Tom

The government paid 184 million dollars to renovate a privately owned Massey Hall Theatre. We need the government to build affordable housing not pay for the big corporations.

@@eltorpedo67 he's not wrong! Who do you have to know to get that kind of money? I know alot of companies are subsidized but maybe we the public should know more where our money is going. That's transparency this government avoids doesn't it? Or we gonna argue about all those blacked out financial requests?
