I love it when the underside of the machine is all cleaned and oiled! I have a little tip for getting the clutch screw on for those that don't already know it - lift up the handwheel end of the machine and slip a block of wood or couple of books under it to tilt the machine towards its nose end. (For me at least) I find it much easier to screw the clutch in without the washer falling out. :-) The same tip helps when you want to attach a hand crank.
I feel gratified when my 98 years old Singer Vintage 15-30 start to up down with mechanical sound again. Lovely moment..... now with Schmetz Size 16 leather needle on, it has neat leather stitches.
I have been kindly informed that you DO NOT need to grease the gears on a 201k. I love learning new things about the machines and do not want to pass on wrong information unknowingly, I'm still learning too 😁
Thank you for explaining the ears on the washer, that's been incredibly helpful
Fantastic! I'm so pleased it helps

Yes it is so satisfying when you hear them singing again. The vintage machines always sound so beautiful and each one has its own little song 😁
