I just found your channel 20 minutes ago! I was actually watching your last video. My day has been endlessly shitty but you made me smile. Thank you so much! I can’t wait to see where this channel goes!
This just popped up for me and it was really helpful. I usually do a sort of painting with all of my drawings, where I do everything in one layer and figure out colors and lighting by painstakingly doing each of the colors by hand. Learning how to use the multiply and duplicate and using multiple layers to get that lighting is so clever! I’m going to try to use that to speed up my digital drawing process
I can totally agree on the number of sketching layers and passes at it, I tend to do a sort of combination skeleton/silhouette type thing on top of a skeleton and then sketch details over that which most of the time just turns into my final lineart, and I do different layers of background stuff in various colors and sketch in pretty much only neon colors for some reason, and do my lineart in magenta or orange before switching it to black when I'm done. My workflow tends to be sketch skeleton, sketch background, sketch skeleton thingy again, do clothes and details, do the character inks, flat the character and paint in the background including shading, do background inks, shade the character (via painting colors on the flats layer), then do multiply and add layers for deeper shadows and highlights on the character and on the background, and somehow I can do all that in like 2-5 hours depending on complexity, probably because my art style is very rough and done almost entirely with one dip pen feeling brush in procreate so I can easily get away with varying level of detail as it gets further away from the 'camera' and as it's not in focus and I don't have to be as precise about anything which makes it feel like it flows very well when drawing. I really like how the piece you've done here turned out, it's very vibrant and has that pop of color I don't see in a lot of people's art, I'm generally drawn to higher contrast and more colorful art in general and that's what I tend to do.
Enjoyed todays video, & art piece. That grump version of yi was funny! I hope you have a wonderful day! Looking forward to future works 🙌🏻😊love the fan arts 💖
For the art that wants to be roasted: She looks like she left kindergarten in a state of anger because she was told no she cant play on the playground right now. She also looks like she broke into the caffeine stash her mom was hiding from her. She also seemed to be dropped as a child, flattening her chin, and knocking her ears off. She also watches Inside Out too much and is obsessed with Disguist and dyed her hair green, and she tried to draw on her eyebrows because she is secretly bald (yes the hair is a wig) 💚
the interpretation of the art is exactly the same as my journey into being a vtuber/Artist/ having my persona Ari Kazumi.. she helped me through life since I was 13
I love your art style! The art that need roasting looks horrendous, old, disgusting , GREEN and angry. I hope the dude didn’t spend time on it cause it looks like a toddler who just learnt how to hold a pencil made. ( you said brutal i gave somewhat brutal also i do not say that to any level artist normally but you asked for it )
Your goal is exactly mine. Inspire, encourage, build up! I wish you the best of luck in your journey, and I hope our TH-cam paths can one day cross :D

What is your character/oc? She looks like an elf with horns.

Also I really like your real life version!! It weirdly looks like how I look in real life 😅 so I guess all us artists kind of look like that haha
