I think they're moving in the right direction by listening to the community feedback. I just wish people weren't so quick to write it off based on initial impressions and not give it a second chance.

@The_Geni it's almost like they still have plenty of time to implement a system. If it's a God a week. We have 6 weeks before you run into an issue. If they don't have a system implemented by then I'll eat my words, but they very likely will.
Small nitpick- when you do tier list videos can you say what tier you put each item in. I listen to these kind of videos driving from work so I can be ready for new patches and can’t always see the video
So, I originally thought that dominance was trash too, but it turns out the extra damage from it is true damage. In jungle testing with the same amount of power and pen, you do equal AA damage with dominance and other %pen items, making it pretty much equivalent to smite 1's dominance. I have zero clue WHY they would do that instead of just making it pen normally, or why it's worded like that, but yeah it's effectively equivalent to smite 1 dominance, which I wasn't aware of until today.
well, becuz its technically extra dmg, maybe percent dmg increases like aphro passive on an adc work better on it? either way good to know that at base it works
I think the only thing I need to re-learn in S2 is the items so this is really nice. Been using Smite Source because it is a great way to get easy builds fast, but I have just been lazy about investigating the items and what they exactly do. I like this type of video
I think a good video topic would be role mentality, like the goals you're trying to accomplish in teamfights, your priorities in the roles, what type of mindset you need to bring to said role what makes the gods that are put in the role good for that role and how they accomplish their goals. There isn't that many videos on role mental and 'philosophy' the only ones are from Raynday back in 2016. And having a framework to keep in the back of players minds goes a long way to helping them get better.

My big issue with smite 2 is that prots are hard to actually predict. Because every character can build int or str, you can't really predict a good build that you'll need for tanks that game as you cant know early what someone is going to focus. I could be way off and it not work that way. I admittedly havent played much S2 Oh and fuck Aladdin
First off strength and intel DO NOT determine the type of damage you do. The character does one type of damage based on the character. ALSO pen is all pen. It is not phys or magical anymore

13:00 Gem of Focus in the first 3 slots (or even in general) might be bait imo. I would much rather have my midlaner build book/doom orb and play the farm game with an occasional rotation here and there, than have him go Soul Gem - Gem of Focus and try to permafight. I know it feels good to have a bunch of CD with that latter path but I value the one-shot capability of my midlaner more
Ive been trying world stone on RA mid. With a CD build you very easily can get 2 ults per fight from my experience. Dont know if that makes it great but its fun.
Def gonna share this tier list with the buds, just a few notes from experience after 300hrs in S2 (3:21) IMO, Aegis gets carries killed more often than it saves them and blink is the more viable option, slowly also teaches better positioning since you find times when you realize you are out of position and use blink to get away, making you want to prevent that next time and in next games to come. Whereas with Aegis all I ever hear is "I pressed Aegis WTF?!" or "They still got me" and on some occasions "Good aegis, idiot" Guess my argument is: Aegis keeps you a bad player, finding alternatives makes you a better one (35:01) I disagree for the sake of flavor in the video game. Ik in a competitive game the meta is all that matters, but there is a certain amount of soul in a game that is lost when the meta is the only important factor. I believe that it is a good thing that Thanatos has no mana and there is a reason why the item just wouldn't work clearly laid out. Its unique and letting him have it just because everyone else can just means we lose a cool interaction. I am kinda burnt out on the whole Smite1 "lets make every god equal to make a balanced meta, and fail" plan, I think now with Smite2 we are looking at "this god does X, figure out what's fun and what works on them" instead of "build this cause [role]" (also, never heard a Thanatos complain about being slow, often hear shock about just how fast they are sometimes, so maybe we don't need crutches for the newbies, something you preach a lot right?)
with dagger having a 15 sec cooldown for a sizeable 5 auto increase could be good if you could slot it for ullr. thinking in weaves between ability uptime ??

Were laners using Bumbas starters ever an issue in Smite 1? I don't remember that. If not, why is it such a prevalent thing here in Smite 2?
At one point in either season 8 or 9. Everyone was building Eye of Jungle. Especially hunters
