I’m gonna take a guess that you haven’t been around many turbo cars especially turbo cars with a 100% custom hot and cold side (the whole kit) The flex pipe is there to make the turbo kit be able to flex a little because if the turbo kit is solid mounted and has no flex it’s gonna start breaking welds and crackin pretty fast! It’s not simple cheap piece a junk flex pipe either several companies make them they are made made specifically that reason. Even cars that are turboed from the factory have them.

Ex.A sbc is 18436572 and starts with 1 which is the on the driver side that is twisting the driver side of the exhaust and I am totally agreeing with this topic
@@woodgrain18 Dude apparently your automotive knowledge is limited! It is not just turbo cars that have flex pipes, Almost every transverse mounted engine vehicle has them, Also not as common but rear wheel drive vehicles have them all so! And another thing those flex pipes are not so special they are just a 3 or 4 inch stainless steel universal flex pipe, Almost every exhaust shop that does custom exhaust work has them on their shelves!
