It's an homage to Wicked Twister. I love it. The ride should have been built this way with the LIM system from the get go.

I'm lucky to have 7 rides on it before closing that Friday evening. I personally like this version over the original. Not to say that TTD wasn't great cause it was.

I thought 2 hours was definitely worth it to be honest I'd wait longer I got a night ride and it was absolutely awesome

@@kimiisland9802 Agreed, it was the entire point. Kingda Ka still does it right at least. Only place left in the world you can experience that much acceleration without being a fighter pilot, an astronaut, or a top fuel dragster driver.
@@Chris-xo2rq True. Stealth at Thorpe Park also has a crazy good acceleration, but its way less on top speed. I cant understand how people like TTD2....its such a step backwards.
I hope CP has better luck with this ride than the first one, which was closed every time I went there.

The manufacturer wasn't able to do a redesign end time for it to be opened this season.
Apparently there was a shimmy or a shake and/or they're adding different restraints.
I just went to Cedar Point for the first time a couple weeks ago and this ride was shit down. I was upset I couldn’t experience this one! The rest of the coasters were epic though!
Awesome! I’m visiting this Sunday through Tuesday and I’m bummed that it will be closed too.

I never got to ride the original. But Millennium Force was hands down the best coaster ive been on. Loved that thing.

Since the weight of the train can vary a lot, I bet the first shot is used to gauge its weight. They accelerate it a fixed amount the first time (a lot but not enough) and then they measure how far it goes up the backside. Then they they know how much acceleration to use to just get it over the top on the second run.
The guy in the back is the guy who would be getting me through this a lot more confidently lmao when we go to to KI if this guy is not on there which he never is, I become this guy to get myself through it lmao
I like this new launch I'm seeing get an extra thrill with a roll back into a reverse launch
And a nice 90 minute wait time. That's what I'm looking forward to most of all.
Thank you for this POV as it's probably as close as we'll get to riding it this year. As a season pass holder it makes me sick to go to the park and see this shut down every time after they hyped the hell out of it. I wish CP would announce ANYTHING regarding reopening, or what's taking so long to alter. I'm thinking it's not a car modification as they previously stated.

And due to technical difficulties the ride remains closed along with Top Thrill Dragster after metal pieces flew off & seriously injured people. The park claims they weren't at fault while Cedar Fair sold to Six Flags. Rides & people standing near the rides BE AWARE.. VERY AWARE. A trip to the amusement park may change your life forever

People thinking this is a piece of cake until you see it up close and personal. The initial launch reverse send you about 200 to 250 ft before going forwards over 420 ft to the peak and back down. It's a scary maple track..but Scary AF,Fast AF
u seen kinda ka thoug, its bigger with 456 ft drop. the coaster is INSANE, u should try it

This is way better than the original In my opinion. My issue with the first is that it was too short so now that there is multiple launches it’s more worth waiting in line.

Nope, sadly I don’t think we’ll ever get one. Even on media day POVs can only be recorded by the official camera mounted in row 1.

The launch used to be incredible, now it's incredibly weak. Thankfully Kingda Ka is still running.
I still dont fully understand why Cedar Point did this. Im not hating, its an interesting twist on the original TTD. But idk, It feels like a dlc
Imagine if you will a world in which CF isn’t a group of cheap assholes that hold a grudge. Intamin would have rightfully reimagined this ride and it would probably be better than the Zamperla version AND it would be a functioning roller coaster.

Yep, I was a huge doubter that they wouldn’t be able to do it. So happy the recent reviews are awesome!
@@totallycoasters I remember the park I worked at in the 1990's getting their first Zamperla Ride, The Italian Trapeze and the backlash because the artwork had women with their boobs out, like Michelangelo paintings, but the park refused to take it down, it was one of their more expensive investments as they were more known for buying used rides not brand new ones.
They were also the first park to get the Zamperla Power Surge in the USA... if you haven't guessed the park by now, it is Knoebels... They have 2-3 other Zamperla rides, more geared towards children (Balloon Race and a fire truck kiddie ride.)
But they may be getting a new Zamperla coaster, there was talk about 2-3 years ago of a launched family coaster at Knoebels by Zamperla... but they ended up buying new trains for Impulse... and right now they are knee deep in a full restoration of one of the 3 remaining Bayern Kurve rides.
since the new trains have mechanical issues, i hear they're gonna replace the trains with something that has been tested and used on other rides before now, so get ready for an epic top volare 2 experience!
Thank God the triple launch isn't on the tallest and fastest rollercoaster in the world: Kingda Ka. I mean, we're talkin' collective coronaries here. 😂😂💯💯
