    I was a professional singer for many years AND suffered panic attacks for almost all that time until I had to stop singing altogether because I got too tense. You earned a sub today my friend. I am on a path to find my way back now.

    The voice hear sounds exactly like the example of the pushed vibrato you just did, I don't get the differences

    I have trouble with the in between breaths. After I get a good diaphragmatic breath and sing a line, I still feel tense in the abdomen area before the next line/breath and then I feel like i can’t go deep with that next breath.

    • @SterlingRJackson
      @SterlingRJackson  ปีที่แล้ว

      I would focus more on breathing and then humming. Turn it into more of a breathing in and exhaling exercise instead of a “singing exercise”.

    Mullein tea for chest infection. Licorice for throat

    Was just wondering, my chest voice range is E2-D3 then I flip to falsetto at E3 and can go up to E5 with mix. Is it possible for me to increase my chest voice range by an octave to D4 or by two octaves to D5? So that I can hit D4 or D5 with pure chest without falsetto or mix?

      @@SterlingRJackson The hardest thing (lol ) is the learning to not pressure the absolute living resonance out of the higher stuff.
      I am running though songs I know, quietly and kind of through my nose, such small amounts of air like I'm simply breathing out.
      Of course I can just blast and cause a flip into some really loud piercing noise. Staying away from that until I learn to do something useful with it.

    With correct breathsupport will there be a chance to tense up in the throat while singing hard songs or will this eliminate it? My problem currently is that the songs of my new band are really high all the time so I'm almost always using mixed voice. Since there are not many relaxing parts I tens up in my throat.

    • @SterlingRJackson
      @SterlingRJackson  4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Support helps to teach you and highlight where in your throat you’re tense as you’re pushing more air pressure into those areas. It’s a good teacher but it doesn’t necessarily get rid of tension. Singing high and over ones bridge takes a lot of practice and singing other people’s songs while annunciating similar to how they did in their songs can also make things worse. Support is always important, and while it’s a big piece of the puzzle, it doesn’t solve all of the problems. 😊

      @@SterlingRJackson Thank you for your quick response. Yes singing other persons songs is always a challenge expecially if the lead singer was a woman. How would you try to solve the tension problem? What methods are there?

    • @SterlingRJackson
      @SterlingRJackson  3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@Mars-1995the first thing to learn is vowel modification. How to keep vowels and the throat open when it wants to close down or get tighter. Not everyone can annunciate the same way as they approach or sing over their bridge. 😊

    I am definitely guilty of not having the greatest support, I always used my belly or abs, not the diaphragm like I should be😢
